The biggest problem with the digital night vision is the 16:9 aspect ratio. I have a bino NVG30'S but flipped 90 degrees. I am very pleased. If you want to mount these and walk around it is the best way IMO.
It would be an incredible value if the NVG30 could incorporate a 4:3 TFT display like the Prowl. Hopefully, they will consider an upgrade or release a new model with this feature.
I agree with the prowlers lag. I like it's feild of view altho, I wish it was still wider. My complaint with it really (that se3ms to apply to all of them) is that the IR creats a very bright spot light and it makes a lot of reflective glare off your weapon or walls :/ i don't know how to deal with that problem. Diffuser ? Anyone have a suggestion..
Nightfox came out with a firmware update that really improves smoothness/lag issues. It's free, go to their website. No help for the light, other than fastening a fisheye lens to diffuse the light. You might rock a beam on the 850nm and a flood on the 940?
OLED bothers my eyes on my phone quite a bit because of PWM. I switched from an iPhone 14 Pro Max to an iPhone SE 3 because of it. I might be more comfortable with the NVG10's LCD screen.
There's an upgrade to the NVG10 called the CY10 on route to me for testing but I don't know how it will compare to the NVG10 or the NVG30. It's kind funny looking but will be cool to see what it can do - ua-cam.com/video/qbG8X6UkqnE/v-deo.htmlsi=EwfPs8qZ6NLdvPD_&t=485
So if I understand this right, I want night vision for gaurding my house from rollers and hunting, it seems to me that if I don't wanna get spotted I should go with the NVG30, correct?
You can remove one of the arms on the bino bridge and run a single NVG30. That's the best solution that I am aware of for those looking for a more robust mounting solution than what comes in the box with the NVG30.

That *30* looks very impressive. Definitely on my short-list of very near future purchases.
Thanks for the video comparison.

Nvg30 vs sionyx araura black?
How do the nvg 30s work when running do they turn off and flick back on when you shake them?
I don't think shake awake NVG exist. You would risk draining your battery
Swap out a thumbscrew on prowl battery cover for easy access
