My guess is they don't feel confident using English, as they aren't as fluent as they are in their native language. However, I do agree with you, it's inconsiderate from their part, they should have tried to speak in English, just asking simpler questions perhaps

Yesterday, Fenerbahçe fans and Ergin Ataman experienced an unpleasant incident
At the beginning of the incident, Fenerbahçe fans are chanting for doping. The reason is that Ergin Ataman was the head of Efes in 2009 and his players Kasun and Kerem were found to be doping and Efes became the champion that year. After the chant of doping, Ataman is swearing.
