    Check your phosphate levels. If its high you can add as much chlorine as you want and it will still turn green.

    Low pH can destroy a pool heater.

      Seen them brown with iron in the water but never green green from metal

      @@atpools that would be from high copper levels, oxidized copper is green

      I shocked my well water filled pool and it went emerald green. 3 bottles of sequestrant and a day of filtering and it was crystal clear again

      We get iron in the water here from well water in certain places on the island that’s fortunately the only metals we have to deal with. Haha and it goes a lovely shade of brown
