Kelvin can i ask u a question, If u own 100shares of a stock, then if you sell call options of the stock, will the trading platform still needs you to have huge amount of buying power in that account to do so? Because I know that if i dont have the stock, usually i will need to have alot of buying power in that account to sell naked options.
Thanks Kelvin for the google doc. Ive been trading for a while learning every different strategy. I have learned that often you lose money learning. Now that i have done pretty much all of the techniques i truely believe that Selling Options is just about the best one. The issue for those with small accounts is the low ROI. But it is still the most consistent and best for a slow growing portfolio. I never touch my long-term portfolio but I am thinking of selling options because I can leverage the larger amount to buy more shares. Its all ETF dividend paying.

Have you ever consider selling a call and put option on a same stock over a same expiration date? E.g Stock A is currently priced at $100. Suppose I sell a put option of $105 that will expire in a week’s time, along will a call option of $95 that will expire in the same period. If by the end of the week, the stock price is at $102 (or $98), neither the put option buyer will not force us to sell our stock at $105, nor the call option buyer will force us to buy the stock at $95. I’m still in the process of learning options so there might be something which I’m missing out on. I just thought that this might be a little too good to be true.

I'm also doing it. But just be wary that if the market crash, you will end up (1) having a lot of ITM puts, (2) rolling over at a bad return and (3) forced to keep a large sum of money to upkeep your margin.

Thks for sharing. Note that CSP is good for stock that doesn't keep falling otherwise you will incur losses that could be important if the prices go down below your cost basis. Similarly, CC is not suitable for stocks that keep going up, your profits will be capped. These two strategies are perfect for stocks that move in ranges!..

u mentioned that u do a sell put to buy back the share is ur option been called away. But the seller can chose not to sell you since ur sell put is not an obligation.

Before expiration, it won't execute immediately, the option buyer have to manually exercise it. After expiration, if in the money, it will execute immediately

If you were to sell monthly options at the same strike as your weekly, chances of it getting ITM is not low as there is more time for stocks like TSLA to do so, ie 20% increase in a week unlikely but in a month not unlikely. Maybe stay consistent with the delta of 0.1 too for monthly? I believe it would be further OTM.

I used to do wheel as well but I stopped recently becoz if the price of the stock is high, eg SQ TLSA, it will cost too much margin my tiny account cannot afford. But if the stock is cheap
As for stocks in 100-200 range and I’m long term bullish on, I would open ITM leap call and do PMCC hahaha, but for Tesla I can only afford to do spreads hahaha

If the option expires no need to close. When sell will immediately receive the money.

There really is no easy lunch. Stocks that move within ranges will usually fetch significantly lower premiums.

Don't have to be. You will know when the stock goes itm, then just be ready to top up.

Yup, in a way, there's higher chance to hit. That's why i lower than 0.1 for safety
but the premium are too low for such low delta

Synthetic is good. but need to know when to close it otherwise, if it goes against you. you'll see similar losses too!
