I hope they gave you this headset with a massive discount Andy. Its twice the price of the Pico 4. 30% more than the Quest 3. And it is not stand-alone. Despite your liking for it, it is a step backwards. You still have to have a compatible PC, the head strap as you mentioned does leave a lot to be desired. Thanks for the info and I am glad you like it but it is not on my Black Friday list.
it always did strike me as a great entry level PCVR headset (display port connection FTW), but it would be no good for my set-up (I can see how it works for you). My PC is 6 ft in front of me, and the cable would run across the only channel of open space, in my cluttered room. It's the reason why I hardly used my PSVR, it just wasn't practical. In another space, I might have considered this and spent more time on Steam, but not as things stand and I like my large sweet spots in pancake lenses.
My biggest fear is the ipd setting that is done with software. That my nr1 fear if that would work Also the tracking. I play alot of synth riders and move alot
As for the IPD the software seems to work well. Tracking was a faff to get working when I first used it but seems fine now. However if you're moving around a lot the cable isn't as good as wireless and id probably go with something like Pico 4 or Quest 3. Saying that you might want to wait a few months for the S versions of both
For standalone yes, I mainly use it for fitness games at the moment. There's not much in it when it comes to PCVR but the flip up screen makes it so much easier when setting stuff up or changing stuff.
After watching your E4 video, I tried flipping up the Pico 4 in the same manner. I usually don't put the headset on snuggly so it swivels up nicely with one hand but doesn't stay up without assistance. It's actually useful though when compared to the passthrough, don't find that usable at all. @@AndyMorphs

How do you like this headset compared to the Pico 4 and do you still use the Pico 4?
