Denon is the way to go ☝️ I mean this seriously, not as trolling. They are really innovative, have better products for lower prices and a great community. #ChangeYourRider and support more variety in the DJ booths, rather than a greedy monopolist stuck in the past!
Those players look SOOOO good man, for me the only thing they appear to be lacking from the CDJ3000 is clicking on the waveform to auto Cue preview the playing track, iirc you can still Cue preview a track in the library though.
SC6000 now has everything. Feels like a peak Pioneer won't reach for reasons of product segmentation, whereas Denon says nahh, then throws everything including kitchen sink into their flagship player. This coming from pioneer user.

That's how deck layers work now?! That's so cool. - By that I mean you can properly see both layers on one screen. Or maybe that's not a new thing, but in the past I have only seen it where you have to flip the screen between each layer to control it.
I didn't notice any additional hardware to achieve the dual waveform feature. I'm hoping that this will be a soon to be released firmware feature for the SC6000's and crossing my fingers for the SC5000's as well. Excellent mixing skills showcasing the new feature sir!

Has anyone heard anything about the Pioneer CDJ 3000s being able to stream music like the Denons the future? I have the 3000s , but after this , I might want to switch.
Love these videos, but one thing...why are all these videos using analog instead of digital connections to the mixer? You will lose four cables and not have extra D/A - A/D conversions. Seems a bit silly...great mix, though, and the stacked waveforms per layer is cool. I'll update my SC6000s in two months...
Raised on analogue mixers so it's a force of habit. Plus not all mixers have the best sounding DAC's so it's not always the best thing to do. That said we have no complaints with the sound quality of the X1850!
@@Crossfader Right on! I started DJing in 2001 so I'm right there with ya. I am actually selling my X1850 and pairing my SC6000s with the RANE MP2015 Rotary mixer. Old school feels with a digital heart. Best of both worlds!
I’m excited for Denon to release the lc6000, that cheaper add on deck without a screen to really take advantage of that second layer. I’m sure you all will have those go review soon!
Waste of money and bad product idea if you cant even see the waveform. They should better invest in a more premium feel of the play cue buttons and platter. Then eliminate high end roll off of the interface. If that is accomplished, pioneer is dead.

Is it me, or can you not do the dual waveforms on the other individual deck? It seems like this is only available for each layer.. I don't see where you can project the other deck's track on the other screen
Can you hook up the SC5000/SC6000s to an XDJ-XZ?? Cost difference from the cdj3000 is substantial but not sure of having two platforms makes sense. Any major drawbacks to doing this?
I've got these things. I didn't know you can view 2 full waveforms on each deck at the same time. How do you do that? I've definitely got the most recent update on them.
Nice mix. Loving the dual waveforms on the sc6000s. Anyone know if you can do that with the 5000s? They have two layers but unless I’ve totally missed a magic button you can only see a single waveform on each deck at a time. Not a huge issue either way, still so glad I got a pair of these bad boys!
@@vannhollandiii3711 You can only see the x2 waveforms of the layers on the same deck. Assume, they'll bring the other deck option as part of a future firmware update
Not sure if this is your issue but make sure your ethernet link is connected to the correct channels on your X1850 for accurate BPM detection in FX, otherwise they will be out of time and sound very weird. A quick check is to make sure the BPM shown in the X1850 screen is the same as the track BPM for the selected channel.
This one or course. Unless you want to pay more for inferior decks. And please ignore those constant 'club standard' trolling by the Pioneer fanboys. This is totally irrelevant unless you have regular gigs in big clubs/stages (and even then you can request or bring your own Denons). They also read RB sticks!

No struggle at all, because the term "industry standard" is just nonsense. If you want Denon on your stage, just request them (if you are famous) or bring your own (if not so). Super simple. I will never switch back to Pioneer.
Everybody knows this is easier with clicky hotcues above the jogwheel. Unless you palm the platter and car crash. Blessed be the wisdom of Pioneer DJ. And totally obviously doesn't sound as good. I find the Denon audio output lacking in nuance and refinement. The industrial powerhouse MCU in the CDJ-3000 affords it a more natural stereo image that breathes better. My extensive research into streams on the web is conclusive.
@@FunctionGermany Only in so far as the setup above lacks directional audio cables, an analogue rotary mixer and valve amp final stage output. That's where I would want Denon to change the sound to suit my ears to match the CDJ-3000. As for the hotcues? Denon putting them where I rest my fingers and my Gin Lonkero glass? Total madness. Only a crazy guy would put the hotcues there rather than under the screen, where the waterproof screen of the CDJ-3000 can repel my gin drink but still respond to my finger touch. Not only can I touch the CDJ-3000 better, I can stroke the preview waveform which is so totally hidden on the SC-6000 until I slide that filename to the right and I get it on the bottom of the screen.
Funny as the ESS Sabre 24bit DAC used by Denon DJ in prime kit is way better than anything Pioneer uses. As used by Audioquest in their DAC's. Also in all tests the SC5000 and 6000 are still faster than a 3000.
@@dj_paultuk7052 faster in which way? when the media is pre-analyzed or when it's not analyzed? (i know the 3000 can't analyze the BPM, but analyzing the BPM in Rekordbox apparently makes it load faster)

You are right but, now with the new 1.6 update you can now see the dual layers on the same screen. Couldnt do it in build 1.5

It’s dual-layer. So you are able to achieve a FOUR deck mix with only two players. Pretty neat.
It's enabled in the release of V1.6 firmware for SC5000 and SC6000 players!

Yes, this can be done using a sound switch or resolume interface over Ethernet and DMX

nope, no streaming functionality in sight yet.
Pioneer is never going to do that. If you want progress, go for Denon. They also read RB sticks, don't worry.
Not possible on the 3000's due to their architecture. They are still a hardware player inside.
