Hey Sydney Train Vlogs. I live in Perth and we have the same type of trains in queensland but our trains are in different colours and our's is called Transperth. Can you please do some videos in Perth?
1. 0:08 IMU-173 + 168 @ International Airport, Brisbane Airport service 2. 0:59 IMU-168 + 173 again @ International Airport, this time it runs a Brisbane City and Gold Coast service 3. 2:05 IMU-184 + 186 @ International Airport and Domestic Airport, Brisbane Airport service
Hi phil how is going on in Brisbane? The last few days we had a big bad weather in Sydney lot of rain and thunderstorms but just want to keep u update on that so when r u coming back to Sydney for more train Vlogs?
I've got to say, next time you are in Brisbane, get yourself on the ICE trains, do the run from Roma street to Caboolture at least, then you can decide if you want to go further north. Best do that ASAP because once they get the NGR trains in the ICE's will most likely stop operating under normal service, there is a chance they will move to rail heritage which is very likely but you have to pay extra. Also recommendation on where to take the ICE up to, if you go to Pomona that is the last station that will give you something to do while you wait for the train to head back as Cooran traverston and Gympie North are away from buildings, but if you go to Gympie North at least you would have done the whole line which is something I've done before, I've also done the Pomona trip before as well. If you stay at the platform the tilt train will go past, which also leads into 2 other things, go to cooroy, buy a electric tilt train ticket, and go from Cooroy to Roma street, it's good fun.
And the other thing is to go to Elimbah and watch the tilt train go past, (the electric one) be on the north bound platform, you'll know why once it happens, and if you do book a tilt train ticket, the electric one will offer business class and economy class, the diesel tilt train will offer premium economy business and a sleeper bed thing and the tilt train replacement will only have economy class, also on some days it's possible to get the electric tilt train up north to gympie and get the diesel replacement back South, something that I am still yet to do, but am planing to do
+NSW Trainlink Vlogs Years ago, the line from Eagle Junction to the two airport stations did cost more than the usual suburban ticket would. Not sure what the current rate is, but I do know that travelling between the Domestic and International stations will cost you $5 one way. I've heard that Qantas will cover this ticket if you are transferring between their flights. It is a different set up to the Sydney Airport line.
+NSW Trainlink Vlogs for the airport line you pay the go card fair that you would normally get, then you pay the AirTrain extra fee on top, which comes out of the go card, same special fares apply for the exhibition station during Ekka times, but not sure if it's more or less. Not sure if the station access fee is $10 I don't remember but that seems a little too much based on memory, I'll check
+dan b yes, its the pretty much the exact same as using the two airport stations in sydney. if you dont use those stations, you get the normal fare, but if you use one of the airport stations, you need to sell your kidney to pay for it. (from memory the cost was almost the exact same as sydney)
Taran Saunders i found that if you fly Qantas you can get the fee payed for you, which makes it easier and there are ways to get the fee a little cheaper, but yeah the fee its the same
+dusty1611 +C. Leung for the sum260's and imu160's thats pretty much the only difference but the imu100's and imu120s can run at 140km/h at the expense of lower acceleration compared to the smu200's and sum220's which are limited to 100km/h but have better acceleration. (useful for the gold coast line due to 140 km/h running with long distances between stations) also the imu100's and imu120s have a different door (plug type) and a few other differences
The airport line had to be raised as it passed alongside the Toombul Shopping Centre, because the creek there always floods during heavy rain. This is situated just round the bend from Eagle Junction. I guess they just kept the rail high as it passes across the two major motorways, one being the Gateway Motorway.

IMU173 was the one that crashed at Cleveland.
Hey. Could you do a part 2?
The airport line is now almost 100% Ngr units now, looks strange seeing imu units running

I think this train is also in Perth, made by Downer (something) and is the Series B.
Yea it’s the same sound
It's made by the same manufacturer of downer edi in Maryborough.
How fast do these trains go at Brisbane airport? Can it go all the way to Upper Mt Gravatt?
Brisbane International & Domestic is the only train stations on the QR network I've been to
Oh ok

Kay Potter well at least it's better than having to pay $10 (including station access fee) to get onto Sydney Airport

What are the differences between IMU and SMU trains?
Imu has a toilet and luggage racks, smu dont

IMU has a toilet and baggage racks and the SMU's don't have either
The smu sounds as the same as B series sets in perth
I request Roma street
He is not in qld and he didn't take any request
Im back in Sydney now sorry mate.
why do they always use new trains on the air train it is very strange.
I did see an IMU100/120 series train the other day, but they are rare. I am not sure why, maybe the airport wants to give a good impression.
Gold Coast and Airport= lots of tourists. New trains= good reputation for tourists
no wonder they call it "airtrain". because those 2 stations are in the sky.
The entire airport line is elevated, from Eagle junction to domestic airport station
Its quite a unique line.
It will be something like the Sydney Metro Northwest Skytrain that is currently under construction.
The airport line had to be raised as it passed alongside the Toombul Shopping Centre, because the creek there always floods during heavy rain. This is situated just round the bend from Eagle Junction. I guess they just kept the rail high as it passes across the two major motorways, one being the Gateway Motorway.
NKP Plus the cost of the ticket is sky high.
A tiny bit like circular quay
+Tom Keane without the view :)
It is :)
Going to be going to the international terminal next year (hopefully) for a school excursion to Japan, otherwise It would be by bus.
Howw can a bus cross the water?
@MOHM48 There's a bridge for that mate.
@@HERD599Wait are you going to Brisbane Intl Airport by train or bus
@MOHM48 Definitely by bus I can guarantee it
@ to brisbane airport
0:14 there's the toilet train
Hint hint Cleveland
Shouldn't it be called Domestic Airport Train Station instead of Domestic Train Station.
I think most people would understand Domestic Train station
+WeirdBuDDiesZ Well if it's the Airport Line I can understand why it would be called Domestic Train Station.
Why is that? I'm not an expert on Queensland's rail network.
+OfficiallyBored Probably due to a est. $15 fare.
Too bad its expensive as fuck to ride
NO SWEAR WORDS IN THE COMMENTS!!!
