    This is the best video I've seen and it works better your way than any way the nurses have shown me (or have flushed for me themselves). You are right, I had pain after they pumped 10cc into me (relatively) quickly. Since my biliary stent was inserted into my bile duct, this drain has been the bane of my existence. It would just stop draining every few days or so and, with the medical system the way it is now, there was no one to help me, so I had to wait until my dressing was changed or, as an alternative, wait in ER for 8-16 hours (not). I was totally stressed out by it. I am using your method now and it has been working very well since the first time I watched it (a few days ago). Thank you, thank you, thank you!

      I am so happy that the video was helpful for you. I showed your message to my wife, and it put a smile on her face. We hope things are still going well for you, and thanks for the comment. And of course, for watching.

    Our drain broke also so thank you for showing us that we can fix it ourselves you saved us lots of grief

      The repair I did held up until the drain was removed. Doctors said the only other way was to replace it, so we were glad it held until it was removed. I hope you were able to patch your valve and wish you the best in your recovery.

    I’m doing this for my father right now. Just wanted to make sure I did it right. Sending nothing but well wishes to your family. Great video! Good idea on the alcohol pads, luckily for us, the nurse gave us the caps with the alcohol inside the cap, so she said not to worry about using it to wipe ❤

      Thanks for watching and glad my video helped you. My wife had both her tubes removed and is doing better but still has pain on her right side that has the doctors stumped. I hope your father is doing well.

      Thank you, and yes, cancer sucks. She has good days and bad. She uses cannabis for the pain when it is really bad and gets instant relief. I wish the best for you and your wife as well.

    Are you doing this daily? Do you ever flush more often if you see the “sludge”/ sediment?

    • @thecityviking
      @thecityviking  7 місяців тому

      We don't have to do this anymore, but we would do it a little more often if it seemed "sludgey". I hope things are going well with your drainage tubes. Thanks for watching

    What would happen if there was a little air bubble in syringe?

    • @thecityviking
      @thecityviking  2 роки тому

      I would check with your doctor or nurse, but I don't think it is a problem. I have seen air bubbles when I did my wife's drainage tube. Please check with a professional to be sure though.

      Fortunately both tubes are now removed. They were installed to drain fluid from her liver after a liver resection. I have video of the removal of the tubes and will probably post soon as I found it very interesting, but I wanted to wait to see if people were interested in the other videos first.

      Today i will do ptbd at my liver...how long tube in side the body...must do chemoteraphy?

    • @thecityviking
      @thecityviking  2 роки тому

      The tube was about 8 to 10 inches inside her body. The type of cancer my wife has usually does not respond to chemotherapy, so she does not go for that.

    • @thecityviking

      It's interesting how everyone seems to get different instructions. I had varying instructions from different nurses, and I was told to never pull any liquid, only push liquid in.
      Perhaps someone from the medical profession can clear up why we have varying instructions?
      I wish you and your wife well.

      My sister had her gallbladder removed in her 20s. She is now in her 60s with no complications. I hope for the best for your girlfriend and yourself. Thanks for watching.
