That was VERY informative.
A proper Sombra, she aims for the healers, stays alive and guarantees health packs for the team with the hacking. This is HER role fulfilled completely.
This is a great example.
Constant distraction too. Healers can't focus on the front line as well.
Sombra should be the brain of the team. With enough info, she can make so much difference.
Also I think she should prioritize the objective over anything: backcap, creating space by heading to objective, and spawn camp characters that might give his team an advantage
Not exactly after healers my last match but I was up against a Widowmaker killing our team dropping them like flies very experienced. I only got the kill once and knew I was out of my league.
So I decided to mess with her and throw my translocator in her field of view a couple of times, watching her disengage her sightlines to deal with annoyance that'd never come. Once she got used to that I just actually take the teleport and harass with hacking and hiding behind cover from her spraying. During the last 3m of the match my team was able to make pushes against the payload and win the game because of what I did. Best game of my career.

I started watching Fitzy a while of years ago and now main Sombra. She is soooooo much fun to play if you play her right... haven't played the beta yet but in OW1 she is one of the few characters that feels like she can be completely on her own and still provide value to the team. And there is no better feeling than counting down EMP 3 2 1 and the team follows up for a team wipe.

Fitzy is the reason I have mained Sombra all these years. After TF2 dying out with my time there on Spy I was desperate for similar game play. Similar starts. I love playing the opportunist. Going back to like 2000 when I started playing a rogue in Everquest. Fitzy has taught me so so so much. Especially with getting out of fights where you have no shot to win. I feel pretty lucky to be so primed going into OW2 with all of this knowledge because I think a lot of people are going to go in to the new Sombra trying to play her like Zen or Soldier. Just point and shoot. That's not her. She's still an opportunist. Another thing that makes Fitzy so smart is he knows who to fight and when. You saw in the vid what he always does when he's on say a support, he has them at 20%, and a tank turns the corner, he gets out. He stays valuable to the team by not dying to get that one support kill. It's so smart and so many people don't do it with her. Jay and Fitzy are my two favorite streamers of all time. I've learned so much from both of you guys. This is my appreciation post for 2022. The rest of the year is dono's about booty? hole? booty? hole?

At the end with EMP Nano, Fitzy did test that and it does do more damage. Pretty sure it's 55 to 60 percent damage with Nano.
Edit: replies in comments, as stated by some1 in comments, emp doesn't kill under normal circumstances since in the beta it said it would do 40% of CURRENT health (without any damage modifiers, i.e. mercy blue beam, nano, discord, etc.) The enemies that get EMPed will go to 1 HP but not dead. Although apprently you can kill, but I have never seen that in any clips and im a console pleb. Also Jay3 obviously clarified that it's 60% with nano. That's all and I'm gonna mute this now to not get overloaded.

If it's more than 50%, then nano+emp + flux = instant death. Even immortality field would be hacked.

Jay3's style is usually not my cup of tea, but I have to respect the way he respects others. He is a good bean.
Watching this makes me question what I think a dps should do. If you think about it he's just running around, hacking someone, teleporting and every once in a while he kills someone. However the sum of his actions destabilizes the enemy team and win fights in a different way. The way blizz rebuilt Sombra was awesome imho.
Fitzy is a savage. He makes plays that just make you feel like a rookie.

If you notice fitzys locator is within 3 sec of the engagement. That's one thing I've always worked on was how fast can I get back into the fight. If it takes to long you slow the tempo of the game down or even worse you end up missing your timing.

When I first started watching I was like ok lets see what this Sombra has to offer then I saw it was Fitzy and then I was Oh.

When i play sombra that way i'm getting flammed by our team
same. Its super annoying. Like people have no game sense whatsoever. They're not taking advantage of the fact that i just removed both the enemies support and they are now vulnerable to push.
yet when they somehow fail to push and end up dying despite having 2 supports a tank and a dps and me harrassing the rear i still get the blame for the loss as Sombra.
i love Sombra. She is a good harasser and flanker. But people on lower ranks just dont understand how important removing supports are.

the broken part is the damage increase. it just like u get zen discord while hacked
It only lets Sombra do more damage though, so if your aim is bad or the team turns on you you're unlikely to make as much use of it before you need to translocate.

2 CP would be really cool as a KOTH style experience where you basically mirror the map so that you fight over 2nd point and then whoever loses falls back to first point on their side of the map.
I am 100% of the opinion that Hanamura is perfect for KOTH. attack spawn 2 and defender spawn being the spawn points, and that little pagoda thing with the big health pack in front of the 2nd point DOJO are the capture point

i wonder what was the dmg compared to everyone else. i had 35 hacks in a game with the least amount of dmg. everyone hated me when my team won. xD
That’s because w sombra you won’t really see her success in the numbers. Her job is to disrupt the back line to create space for the team and to take out healers to do the same. Preventing enemy q is also super helpful but won’t be reflected in tab. I once prevented junkrats q all game and that was so valuable.

I do play Sombra a bit, But I’m not that good with her, I know when to use EMP, I know how to hack ETC but it’s kinda difficult I got her cute spray and probably pixel but it’s kinda difficult for me, But that’s just me

but my game sense and my targeting seems to be mostly the same as shown here. (im nowhere as good as Fitzy, i know)
but whenever i do it i just get called out as being useless and causing us to lose. Again, i do play on Silver 4. So most people dont have a clue what a "good" sombra is actually doing.

This video perfectly shows the downside of Sombra. Basically aside from her hack You're just a nuisance your DPS is so low it's almost useless.

I just see good aim... it's easy to ulttrack and track abilities which he's not doing so not sure if I should be impressed... my aim sucks and I'm gold but in terms of brains I believe I'm quite far in. I can even tell if someone has low or high sense so I can play around it (high sense, small moevements, low sense big movements) I don't play the game enough tho
