I have both the Quest 3 and the PSVR2. I think its simple to decide once you know what you want. The PSVR2 is the better option for the most immersive solo campaigns, and it's not particularly close. The extra field of view, the ability to see true blacks (real darkness), advanced haptics, headset haptics, better audio, eye tracking, etc, just make it feel so much more real. This is why developers usually use the PSVR2 to showcase their games. If you need mobility, mixed reality, or desire social aspects in VR, the Quest 3 is the best option for you. Both are great for different purposes. For me, I care more about solo immersive gaming, so I personally like the PSVR2 more.
@abeerik5591 I don't own one, and I've never used one. I think there are multiple HTC headsets, but im looking at the Focus 3. Looking at the specs, while it's still a good device, I can't see a reason for getting it over the Quest 3 or the PSVR2. All of the advantages it offers can be found in one or the other much less expensive headsets.
I dont agree with the assessment on psvr2, head haptics add almost nothing, the deep blacks ate ruined by the high persistence screen that have so much ghosting and mura, plus fresnel, blah
@Gamingwithmatteo311 Nothing is perfect, and I'm not saying the PSVR2 is. But I'm comparing it to the Quest 3. The blacks are obviously much better than the Quest 3 on the PSVR2, I dont think you disagree with that. The Quest 3 can not simulate darkness anywhere close to the PSVR2. Also strange you commented this on mine, as your most liked comment that you loved says the same thing. The PSVR2 is better for solo gaming and includes colors of OLED and headset vibration as specific reasons. Im also curious why you think the developers consistently choose to display their AAA games on the PSVR2
I want to let everyone know of a great hack I have been using since week one. I bought a non adjustable facial interface. Chop off the bottom half from the bottom of the headset arms. It massively increases pass through usability and still gives you support. You have all the padding on your forehead and nothing from your eyes down. You end up with full perioral vision and it blends in with the lenses. It does not take away from games because how we see, but i always know where I'm at in my room. This massively increased its usability for work.
I have both the Quest 3 and the PSVR2. I think that the Quest 3 is the better option if you're big on mixed reality, or if you just want a massive library of hundreds of games to choose from, so you'll never be bored. However, the graphics difference between the Quest 3 and the PSVR2 is night and day, as the PSVR2 has OLED and is running on the PS5. Also, the PS5 exclusive VR games are in my opinion much better than the Quest 3 exclusives. I personally wasn't the biggest fan of Batman, but most people will tell you it's a great game, so I'd still get it especially if you're an Arkham fan. But the PSVR2 has the resident evils, eye tracking, Gran Turismo, and headset vibration. It also has triggers that can adjust the pressure of how hard you press down based on the game. Both headsets practically require you to buy a comfort strap if you use them often, but I would say that, if you want higher quality VR gaming, go with the PSVR2.
@ZFCaio which games are you referring to? The Quest technically has a higher resolution than the PSVR2, but it is almost never able to use it without a PC connected. Because the PSVR2 utilizes the PS5, the games are able to look way better than games on quest, such as Metro Awakening and Arizona Sunshine.
@4play49 I agree, it's nice that you can access the Internet and like watch movies and stuff on the Quest, but I feel like VR is mainly used to game, which is why I like the PSVR2 better. I'm not saying I don't use my Quest 3 though, I love it too, I just like the PSVR2 better.
thankfully we have the choice. I think meta is better for the vr industry than sony honestly. In terms of hardware quest is something that can really be used all day long with the wide range of use cases, even on the plane you can take your headset and just enjoy it wherever you go untethered, for the quality games quest also has resident evil 4, Assassin's creed, Asgard's wrath i think all these games are nice actually. If you want to up the level you can even play PCVR wirelessly. IMO Quest is the best headset for most people, especially for the entry price. I think PSVR 2 compares to PCVR headsets, Quest is kinda it's own thing.
as someone who got both the kiwi strap and the bobo vr strap, its a matter of personal preference and you probably won't know which you like without trying them. both are really great but distribute weight differently. the bobo vr halo is perfect for me, for others the kiwi strap is right. I wish there was a way to figure this out before you buy.
I really enjoy the b-haptic vest. I'm sad Asgards Wrath 2 and Assassin's Creed didn't bother including support or it. Somehow indy devs can manage but these big studios can't be bothered to polish their games.
not to mention Batman, who basically has an armour just like the bhaptic vest, big missed opportunity there. Bhaptics is a “Made for meta product”, it’s funny to think about it, sounds like a joke, a love my bhaptics devices but damn, software and support are always a huge problem in vr, if not the biggest
Have you tried the AMVR facial interface for Q3 with the Breathable Ice Silk Cotton? The Pleather makes me really sweat and is uncomfortable. I find the Ice Silk is much cooler and comfortable, absorbs the sweat and I can wash it again and again.
Glad you mentioned Space Pirate Trainer. That's one of my favorite VR games for room-scale gaming. More people should play that. I remember I played it when I first started and it kinda showed me the potential of VR for games was there. Lately I use it a lot for exercise
An audio solution that I would recommend, although as they're earbuds, Matteo won't like them, but the Soundcore VR P10 are a good option for use with the Quest 3. They can be used either as Bluetooth, or as USB wireless with USB-C passthrough on the transceiver, so you can still use your battery strap with them. The USB wireless is best for the Quest because Bluetooth still has latency issues making it kinda useless for gaming. That being said, they're not cheap. Well, they're not *normally* cheap. They're normally about $100, but right now they're on sale for $60 for Black Friday.
I have 2 of these now. I really like it. I have one pair for work/portable and one pair for home. The passthrough is nice. I have 3 dongles. One on work pc one on home pc and one on Quest.
These are nearly perfect. They don't get terribly loud. I agree with the various reviews stating they are good for all games except music or rhythm games that you really want to jam out to.
Honestly, when it comes to audio, I actually think they did an awesome job with the 3S. It's something I haven't heard anyone touch on, but the audio quality is definitely better than what was in the quest 2. I originally bought a usbC to headphone adapter, but I never really use it because the built in audio is more than sufficient.
I had the $ for a Metaquest 3 but settled for a 128gb 3s & glad I saved extra $. I almost bought the 256gb model or 500gb model with all the battery pack straps attachment stuff, but I'm so glad I didn't & bought the 128gb model out the box & so happy with it headstrap is fine & battery life is perfect for playing a few hours & charge,I don't enjoy playing more than 2 hrs at a time anyway so it's perfect for me new to VR,the only thing I wanted is Li-ion batteries with a charger for controllers & an hdmi-usb capture card so I can play Elden Ring on 132inch curved floating screen (I know you sacrifice not getting best resolutions etc. but I don't even think about it on a screen that huge!
I have the 3 and love it. My wife wants her own headset so we can play together. Should I get the 3S? Or stick to normal 3? If it’s not too big of a difference it would be nice saving the $. But if it’s a big difference, I’ll pay the extra for Quest 3.
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 Even if I had the money I don't really see the appeal. I can use my legs to turn myself on a regular stool with little effort, and I'd be able to look in a direction different than the way I'm moving.
I ordered the KatVR threadmill cuz i got tired of mobilizing like Steven Hawking or ignoring Boundary while hitting something that shouldnt be there (me not knowing ive physically moved). We'll see how that goes. Been on the fence when it comes to haptics...but any vest that can make a big man almost cry , is a must-have! 🤣 Thanx for taking one for the team💪
I got the quest 3s,poor man strap for headset 🤔 hmmm my tip if you ain't spending were a beanie hat as it stops the pain and lets you wear it a long time k 😉
With the BOBOVR strap if you get a couple batteries with it. You literally have unlimited power. The KIWI strap will eventually run out and it’ll need to sit on the charger. The BOBOVR strap is objectively better.
@ I can see it probably being more comfortable. How much battery would you say you get average out of a session with the KIWI fully charged vs just one battery fully charged for the BOBO? Which one would last longer? Cause for the BOBO, you’re right it is more expensive, and it’d be even more expensive to buy the extra batteries to be able to have the unlimited power than if you to just buy the KIWI strap by itself.
@ That’s definitely not bad, most people are only gonna wanna be in a headset for around that amount of time anyway before they get too tired, sweaty or the pressure from the headset becomes too much. I think for the more experienced hardcore VR players the BOBO is definitely better, especially if they’re not on a budget, but the KIWI is better for the VR players who are on more of a budget and who for the most part have more trouble keeping the headset on for long periods of time, and if it’s more comfortable it’d probably be a better option for newer VR players as well. I think they both have ups and downs, but I think the BOBO has more highs than the KIWI. I’ve used quite a few KIWI products and they definitely make the experience better, I like to use their controller grips that strap around the hands, as well as their face pad. Those and the BOBOVR strap were the setup I had for my Quest 2 and now my Quest 3.
For audio solutions I used the Soundcore VR P10 for about a year until I lost one of the earbuds. They were really good in terms of sound quality. I just purchased the Vega T1 for Black Friday which are similar to the P10s but have more functionality. So far they are way more comfortable than the P10s and I enjoy that you can modify the EQ through their app.
Good video. I use KKCOBVR Q3 Pro headstrap and love it. It's as comfy as the Bobo but much less expensive. What I like about their halo design is that you can move the front of the headset back and forth in front of your eyes, like the PSVR 2 headset. Since I installed this strap on my Quest 3, I have a hard time to keep my PSVR2 headset on for any length of time, even with the Globular Cluster head strap installed.
If you want good earbuds for VR I highly recommend Soundcore VR P10. They rely on a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle rather than Bluetooth, which means VERY low latency (although it comes with Bluetooth as well which allows you to simultaneously connect to your phone). Sound quality is decent (not amazing) but they're not terribly expensive either. It's been awhile since I bought mine, so there may be some other 2.4 GHz earbud brands by now that work better with the Quest 3, since the VR P10's advertise limited functionality with the Quest 3 (full functionality with Quest 2 though). I have a Rift S, so I plug the dongle into my PC rather than the headset, and they work perfectly. From the official description: "The VR P10 is fully compatible with Meta Quest 2 but has limited functionality with Quest 3, lacking support for Touch controls and Pass-Through." I'm not sure what you would need touch controls for regarding the earbuds tbh.
I’m planning on buying a meta 3. You mentioned a $60 store credit which peaked my interest from getting it off Amazon. How does that get applied to your purchase. I don’t see it on the website. Thank you.
@@Gamingwithmatteo311I did see it mentioned above about the credit. But then when I tried to apply your code listed in the description it said it wasn’t valid. Can you not use it when getting the headset or does it not work because of the current promotion? Thank you.
I like the kkcobvr fan interface mixed with the bobo strap. I put both fans on, and I get hot when I take the headset off. I hate heat and vr, and now I feel like putting my headset on if it gets hot in my house. 😂
I don't care about "first party games" at all. Why would I care if Sony owns the studio? It doesn't mean they aren't getting AAA games, it just means Sony won't own the studio.
@Gamingwithmatteo311 What? They are still going to get games that are big budget 1st party games. Just 1st party games to other companies, not to Sony. Like Arizona Sunshine and Beat Saber which are Meta first party games. That doesn't make AZ Sunshine worse on the PSVR2 because it's not "1st party"
@GTNover that's not 1st party. To give you a console example, image no, halo, God of war, horizon, astro, Mario, zelda etc. Arizona is a 3rd party game, the budget is much lower than batman arkham shadow, horizon call of the mountain or asgards wrath 2
@Gamingwithmatteo311 You named first party EXCLUSIVES. All first party means is that the studio who developed the game is owned by the same company who owns the console/headset. Most first party games are not sold exclusively to the company's parent company. For example, Reality Labs makes Beat Saber. So to Meta, Beat Saber is first party, but to Sony Beat Saber is 3rd party. But just because Beat Saber was made by a 1st party company to Meta, and its a 3rd party game to PSVR2, doesn't make it a worse game on th3 PSVR2. (Arizona Sunshine is not made by Reality Labs like I thought wheb I posted the last comment)
Dude Matteo you are just wow man.. pretty damn impressive.. did you upload a video of you trying the tac suit electrical stimulation to your arms? I want too see how much it actually hurts
For a good audio solution, I can recommend the soundcore vrp10. They come with a dongle that you plug into the headset to use with under 30ms of latency. They also support Bluetooth but the dongle is much easier. The sound quality is amazing for gaming (flatscreen and vr) as it has 3d audio so tou can hear where people are walking and doing stuff around you and they also have very clear audio and great bass for music too. They are a little expensive at 100usd but are well worth the price. If you find it on sale its a must buy.
I cant believe no one really makes bud headphones for quest 3. I use the Kiwi Quest 2 ones, but they are for the headphone jack on the left, so I had to cut the cable and re solder so left and right were not reversed byhaving the Jack on the right. AMVR do make some but there shite compared to the Kiwi ones.
If Zuck couldn't come down on his price for a headset by even 25-50 bucks for a few days, well I guess I won't bother to buy one. I'll keep my Quest 2 and buy the Quest 4 when it comes out in a year. Next year this time, the Quest 3 will be 249.99... Mark my words.
@JosephWilsonProductions unlikely we will ever see the official price of the quest 3 at 250. The quest 3 recently dropped in price btw and the quest 3s steal at 299
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 Quest 3s is basically a Quest 2 with color passthrough so they can sell the mixed reality games. Trust me. Quest 3 will be 250.00 in a year.. lol
Zuck already has investors hating him for loosing so much money on VR and selling the headsets at a loss. I can't imagine he would be able to lower the price on the headsets even more without getting extreme backlash from the shareholders. You need to understand what an insane deal the Quest headsets are. Think about it for a second. An Iphone or Samsung phone is like $1,200.00. These quests have the same chipset as the high-end Samsung, but also have, even more cameras, come with controllers, lenes, etc etc, all for only $300.00. Zuck is already insane to go this low.
With a bit of out of the box creative ideas for profit, old Zuck could give a 100 dollar trade in on quest 2 headsets, and then reuse the lenses in the quest 3s line.. win win..
@JosephWilsonProductions not worth is considering they would need to setup a who collection and refurbishing department to repair one of the cheapest parts
Wow PSVR2 is worse than I tought You not only need to be hooked to a PS5, buy a $50 adapter for PC, working only wired, with Fresnel lenses You also need headphones
@ZFCaio Everything has downsides. You can make the quest 3 sound bad by saying "It uses LCD instead of OLED, doesnt have eye tracking, doesn't have headset vibration, doesn't have advanced haptic feedback, doesn't have foveated rendering, and is still 150 dollars more?" But the truth is they are the 2 best options for people getting into VR. And they are both great for different purposes.
@@GTNover All this gimmick you mentioned is BS The fact is that you just put Quest 3 in your head and you are good to go With better exclusives, better lenses I don't mind about LCD, I had an OLED PSVita back in the day, my home TV is NeoQLED, I don't see nothing so special, is just more vivid colors And you are taking the price of PSVR2 on sale to make it look cheaper, lmao Of course it should be cheaper, this garbage is just an accessory for PS5, it does nothing
@ZFCaio OLED screens allow true blacks. Close your eyes during a black screen on the Quest 3 and then open them. Itll go from black (when your eyes are closed) to an illuminated dark grey screen when you open them because the quest 3 can't mimick black. But with the PSVR2 and OLED panels, it is actually black to simulate darkness. And yes, I'm taking the current prices you can buy them at. If you do not have a PS5 then the quest 3 might be a better option. If you do have a PS5 then the PSVR2 is going to be far superior, and cheaper right now, for immersive gaming. I own both, and the exclusives on PSVR2 are leaps and mounds better. Asgard II, Batman, and Assassin's creed aren't nearly as good as RE4, RE8, GT7, Synapse, and Horizon COTM.
@@GTNover There is no reason to own a PS5, Sony is releasing everything on PC, and mentioning the mediocre Horizon as a better game than Batman is a joke
@ZFCaio have you played both? The visuals on Horizon are 10 times better, and the boss fights are too. Also, Arkham is the 2nd best exclusive for Quest, so it shouldnt be compared to the 4th or 5th best for PSVR2. Compare it to RE Village.

From the official description: "The VR P10 is fully compatible with Meta Quest 2 but has limited functionality with Quest 3, lacking support for Touch controls and Pass-Through."
I'm not sure what you would need touch controls for regarding the earbuds tbh.
My wife stole mine. They were good but my dongle died. She uses them with her phone now
Hey bud! You hear what the quest plus games are going to be for December yet?
I love ur content! Ur vids are so good and detailed!
@@salocinscience11 thanks 😀
Do you think meta will be doing any kind of holiday sale for their games? I was bummed to see none of their major titles on sale for Black Friday
Most games are 40% off right now
@ weird! I don’t see that on my meta store
Kiwi strap was comfortable, but I had two both stopped charging after 2 weeks for the 1st and 4 days for the 2nd!
Strange I've had mine for years no issue
I’m planning on buying a meta 3. You mentioned a $60 store credit which peaked my interest from getting it off Amazon. How does that get applied to your purchase. I don’t see it on the website. Thank you.
@eloknu i believe it's automatically applied to your account
@@Gamingwithmatteo311I did see it mentioned above about the credit. But then when I tried to apply your code listed in the description it said it wasn’t valid. Can you not use it when getting the headset or does it not work because of the current promotion? Thank you.
@eloknu there is no code for the order. You just use the link
I like the kkcobvr fan interface mixed with the bobo strap. I put both fans on, and I get hot when I take the headset off. I hate heat and vr, and now I feel like putting my headset on if it gets hot in my house. 😂
What about gun stocks accessory? I just recently got the PSVR2 because I have a PS5 and a full SIM racer set up.
Unless you constantly play the same shooter they get hard to recommend
I don't care about "first party games" at all. Why would I care if Sony owns the studio? It doesn't mean they aren't getting AAA games, it just means Sony won't own the studio.
1st party games are always the largest budget, most robust and usually the best games.
@GTNover beta Saber was made before meta owned the studio. First party games rarely go cross platform.
Thanks, and Happy ThanksGiving! :)
You too
Does the new bhabtics vest with 32 moters feel different than the x40 and do think its better?

Dude Matteo you are just wow man.. pretty damn impressive.. did you upload a video of you trying the tac suit electrical stimulation to your arms? I want too see how much it actually hurts
I dont want to try it again, lol
Another day, another great video from Matteo
Audio solution for me is a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M50X. Works perfect for me.
Ill check it out
No bro, Costco is giving black friday deal on 3s 258GB for $324

Need a face gasket material like the Reverb G2.
My dongle died
@Gamingwithmatteo311 how
@Gamingwithmatteo311 I've been using mine for just under 2 years and they have never failed me and sound amazing.
The X-Arcade looks super cool 😎
I cant believe no one really makes bud headphones for quest 3. I use the Kiwi Quest 2 ones, but they are for the headphone jack on the left, so I had to cut the cable and re solder so left and right were not reversed byhaving the Jack on the right. AMVR do make some but there shite compared to the Kiwi ones.
@@linzkirk agreed
If Zuck couldn't come down on his price for a headset by even 25-50 bucks for a few days,
well I guess I won't bother to buy one.
Amvr is great it has 2 different pads to choose from.
Quest 3s is with 75$ digital credit from Amazon right now
I can't find that deal anywhere
Did Target, Best Buy and Amazon drop their $75 credit with the 3s already?
@@magicalsleeper the target one was a mistake. There is no best buy or Amazon sale
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 Amazon got $75 digital credit for quest 3s now through Sunday
Holy cow x-arcade do a video pleassssssse😱
you look like a high school gym teacher (not an insult)
What girl stretched your collar before this video😂😂😂
Blame the wife
I was expecting recommendations on games on sale. 😢
I actually did that on my recent live stream
Wow PSVR2 is worse than I tought
You not only need to be hooked to a PS5, buy a $50 adapter for PC, working only wired, with Fresnel lenses
You also need headphones
@ZFCaio Everything has downsides. You can make the quest 3 sound bad by saying "It uses LCD instead of OLED, doesnt have eye tracking, doesn't have headset vibration, doesn't have advanced haptic feedback, doesn't have foveated rendering, and is still 150 dollars more?"
But the truth is they are the 2 best options for people getting into VR. And they are both great for different purposes.
@@GTNover All this gimmick you mentioned is BS
The fact is that you just put Quest 3 in your head and you are good to go
With better exclusives, better lenses
I don't mind about LCD, I had an OLED PSVita back in the day, my home TV is NeoQLED, I don't see nothing so special, is just more vivid colors
And you are taking the price of PSVR2 on sale to make it look cheaper, lmao
Of course it should be cheaper, this garbage is just an accessory for PS5, it does nothing
