I got $113 worth of gear from Temu for less than $27. Can't wait to test them out! As to the stolen gear, I'd watch you even if you used old fuzzy lo-rez cams as you just have a great personality for this and your skill at using even subpar gear to make awesome catches is amazing sometimes. I feel your pain. Just a week ago someone smashed my back hatch window out. Took my only 2 baitcasters and rods and tackle I have been acquired for years. To top it off, I'm on disability for my diabetes. I am done fishing for some time now. Thanks for the scum bags take from others. It's such a violating feeling.

Don’t overlook rental places. It’s possible someone saw what was loaded up and worked together with the thief. Probably not but it’s another angle to think about.
Since they used the card at target you have a time stamp and location with cameras so it should be easier to get them. Target has interior cameras and possibly parking lot cameras too
I do have to say this is my absolute favorite spring bed bass fishing tactic where I take my 5 ft or my 7 and 1/2 ft light rods throwing a big old 12-in red ribbon tail weightless and dropping it right on their beds just twitching it till that big momma had enough! biggest was 6.75 lb on a 5ft falcon light 6 lb fluorocarbon a loose drag and a bit of a prayer. It's a lot easier to keep them hooked once you said it I think because that limber rod just keeps that perfect set amount of tension to keep them from throwing the hook. My biggest nemesis is that weeds growing in the water cuz you aren't stuck at that point.
Bought 2 rods from temu the exact same ones and both broke in the same spot on cast🤣 budget fishing lasts about 2 weeks max

So sorry it cost you so much money to replace everything and spoiled your plans on going to Japan. ...Personally, I couldn't have dealt with those rods. I'd also have sent that non-Shimano reel back! That's just wrong! It looks like April had the best combo. Favorite part of the video: TJ chasing that Peacock Bass!!! That happens to me with one or two fish almost every fishing trip.
Did you have target look on their cameras for the time they tried to make the purchase on your card. May be able to get them that way.

I was hanging out with lunkerstv back in 2015-2016 he went into a QT and saw a young girl stealing and told her not to do that and that instead of saying something to the workers he would pay for what she wanted.

You can easily find out who it was I’m sure you can get info from your bank telling you what target they went to and tried using your card at and the time and then have the investigators go to target and retrieve footage of the person trying to check out and have vehicle info from security cameras outside as well. Just gotta find out what target they went to

Hello AYO my heart goes out to you. I can not stand a thief! I understand how you feel. I had something simular happen to me when I drove down from NC to see my little girl and I was excited because I had not seen her in a while so I came prepared! After I got settled in. I went and had my first day with her and got to enjoy filming her all day. This happened in the late 80s when cameras were not cheap at all and the one I bought was VHS and it was high end. I had to buy it on time. and total it cost me almost 4,000. Well after getting to spend time and filming my daughter. I went on back to where I was staying in Vero Beach FL Where I had grew up. On the way to the house I was staying in I stopped at a 7/11 remind you had been going to all my life and I pull up into the store jump out of my car went in and was not in there 5mins came back out and somebody had took everything I had. Not only was I angry but my heart was broken because they also got my camera and all my film of my little girl! To this day it bothers me. I never seen them again.
