    WWE did what they we contractually obligated to for CM Punk. They made him a champion for 15 months and he mainevented 1 PPV. And only because Cena was injured for that period. So this all mighty run he had was in the mid card. CM Punk lost the title over a year ago and has not had a title match since. For the last two WM's he had the best match of the night. I don't blame him for being jaded, physically drained and mentally exhausted. Fact is, he is entertaining and is the driving force behind why i watch RAW now. As for your thoughts on CM Punk being a hypocrite. He said and I quote. "I am a bad guy, I don't wear a white hat."
    Im not going to sit here and defend him. I think facts speak for themselves.

    I been saying it for years I never understood why WWE bring in stars for Wrestlemania when you had guys working all year long to be on the show,Cm Punk is great worker great mic skills but the machine wasn't backing him up after the pimp bomb promo they scaled him back big time, then they turn him heel for no damn reason

    You really need to get over yourself. You are a part of this annoying trend in the IWC of people who think they are above the rest of us and think that they understand the business better than the rest of us. You have this bias against anyone who is considered a favorite amongst the IWC. Why? I guess it's because if you ever did praise these guys and not nitpick at them you might be considered one of us and that would just be terrible, right? I also notice that you are very blinded by nostalgia, you probably wish it was the 80's or 90's again, right?
    Didn't you make a video during Punk's WWE title reign saying that he was basically a mid card and a transitional champion? But now you are giving WWE credit for it and suggesting that it was a good thing for Punk. I guess that was just you criticizing an IWC favorite again. I also remember you saying at one point that merchandise sales were not a big deal and if they were The Hurricane would have been a main eventer but now you are using that as a criteria for who gets the top spots?
    You call Punk a whiny bitch a lot and I keep wondering why is this a bad thing? seriously I don't get this attitude where it is considered a bad thing to voice our frustrations and let out our anger. I guess people expect us just to smile and get over it. Was it because he dares to criticize The Rock who you love so much? Who was Punk supposed to put over before he left? HHH again? Kane? He has already put Lesnar, Rock, Reigns over heck he did way more for Ryback than Cena ever did.
    You also go on and on about Punk being selfish and only caring about himself, how could you possibly know that? do you know what goes on backstage? Punk didn't just leave because he wasn't in the main event of Mania it was also because of how the WWE were treating guys like Bryan and Ziggler. Just because WWE is a cut-throat business doesn't mean the talent can't care for one an other.
    Lastly why do you keep going on and on about how the WWE works and that the breakfast club always comes out on top. Do you think you are enlightening us? We all know this but that doesn't mean we should just accept it. What do people mean when they say this is the real world anyway? just accept it and don't ever try to change it? Imagine if everyone had that attitude there would no progress in the world.
    I'm surprised you still have a lot of people who kiss your ass ever after that shitty newsletter and that awful video where you criticized fans for daring to ask what happened to your old channel.

    I see the argument being made here about CM Punk. I think the coffee piece is digging real deep but I think CM Punk is standing his ground on wanting backstage stuff in WWE to be better. Is he doing it the right way? Probably Not (Austin 2002) but I feel he does want long-term storylines and wants new guys at the top. WWE could shake it up more and give other guys big chances.
    No issues with the video it's his perspective. I really like CM Punk he is one of my all-time favorites hopefully this can all be worked out between both parties. Good video

    Did you ever think that just maybe CM Punk wanted to work with guys like Bryan,Reigns,Cesaro,Ziggler or Kofi before he left but was told he had to work with a HHH or Sheamus or even a Batista and that's what made him leave.

    • @Darion1A
      @Darion1A 10 років тому +3

      No he didn't. He wanted main event matches. Name one main eventer you just named. You can never get higher by going down the stairs
      Think about that. If you wanted to be the top guy, how are you going to prove that by facing guys lower than you. You can't become an Austin by facing Ken Shamrocks.

    • @JakkkeyBrahhh
      @JakkkeyBrahhh 10 років тому +1

      I Think Punk left for a number of reasons. I Think he was tired of being second fiddle to Orton,Cena and now Batista. When everyone and there grandma knows he's better then all of them and deserves to be put in that Main Event at Mania. And I also think that he's tired of having the same rivalries and the WWE not giving him fresh new rivals and there lack of pushing anyone new like a Reigns,Cesaro,Ziggler or a Kofi. Batista winning the rumble was the last straw for Punk they could of had Bryan win it then Punk win the title at the Chamber then set up that match and have it headline WrestleMania.

    • @joshperkins5974
      @joshperkins5974 10 років тому

      So you asked him? How do you know he didn't want to work with lower guys? I read awhile back he was pushing for a feud with cesaro and he was supposed to put him over with Kane interference on Monday main eventers work with mid carders all the time dude wise up.

    • @ESFAndy011

    • @Darion1A
      @Darion1A 10 років тому

      Josh Perkins Right main eventers work with midcarders all the time but only people who have been at the top. Guys like HBK, Bret Hart, HHH, John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton. They all worked with midcarders only after they reached their top star status. Punk said it himself that he would never be top star with Cena and Orton around. No matter how many feuds he had with top guys, or how long he held the title he was still just above midcard but just under top star status just like Kane, Big Show, Rikishi, even Chris Jericho until he came back in 2008. Dude you should wise up

    CM Punk doesn't want to fight B+ legends like Triple H lol. But anyway even as a CM Punk fan I still agree with you, maybe except the part where you said why he is a hypocrite, I think he just did his job and it was the people who hyped that and talked about a change. But I still think CM Punk is going comeback sometime after Wrestlemania, maybe somewhere around Summerslam(or maybe Royal Rumble, but that would seem like a big break) since Vince McMahon wants to see him back. And even tho CM Punk should of put over some younger guys before leaving, seeing Kofi Kingston(beats Randy Orton clean, few weeks later jobs to ADR) I think that those younger guys wouldn't benefit that much knowing WWE's booking.

  • @HBK492
    @HBK492 10 років тому +8

    The one thing I must disagree is that you call hima hypocrite, while you are looking as the one in this video. So let me get this straight, for a LONG time you've been laughing at Punk for being ''midcard'' WWE champion and yet now you are saying that wwe gave him everything they could. Sure you're right, breakfestclub rules wwe, but still, he was a midcard wwe champion damnit and his title reign was ended by part timer. For WWe he was just the name that they made big only to put over other big names. He never won big match except MiTB 2011. WWE disrespected him so many times. And don't talk to me about him not putting others. If he would be selfish bastard he would left after they told him that he will be putting Reigns over almost clean on raw, as a usuall mid carder. You talk about him facing Lesnar as a favour to Punk, but this was just a way to make Lesnar look better after Triple H buried him. He never came on top after big angle, he was always a loser, his whole career was just putting others over. + It's funny how you call him 2 babyface in the company like this would mean something. In 2010 before Orton's face turn you can say Kingston was a number 2 babyface in the company and where he is right now? Pathetic.. The truth is that if you are not John Cena you won't make it in WWe as face, because only Cena matters.

    Did Punk beat HHH? No. Did Punk beat the Rock? No. Did Punk beat Undertaker? No. Did Punk beat Brock Lesnar? No. Yeah, Punk had a couple signature victories over top guys (Jericho, Cena on a couple occasions) but why does Punk owe WWE anymore when he was probably going to lose once again to HHH this year anyways? Essentially, he probably in a way is "putting Daniel Bryan over" by quitting so that Bryan can wrestle a more meaningful match vs. HHH than to lower himself and have to wrestle a stale Sheamus. See it from all angles.

    pro wrestling in america has died, it's sad when 80 to 90 percent of our conversations about wrestling are about what's going on backstage we should be happy and having fun about what's happening on tv but they ain't giving it to us, it's time to stop watching this bullshit and start a movement for something else whether it's tna roh or japan or mexico check out some other shit and let these motherfuckers know you ain't happy watching this bs, boos and cheers don't mean shit money and ratings do, once you hit their money and ratings guarantee they start to listen

    This is the cold and honest truth. As much as it pains me to say this, he's right. CM Punk left and understandably so, but he did indeed show no respect by the way he left. He could've put someone over like crazy before he left, and someone like Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Antonio Cesaro, Alexander Rusev, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, or probably Daniel Bryan could've used a rub like that from Punk. He owed it to the business, but at the same time, I can certainly understand why he quit. I don't blame him. He just showed how selfish he is by quitting off camera and not putting anybody over on the way out. The Schlegdaddy is absolutely right on this.

    I am going to make this clear as I possibly can. WWE is never going to change. Let me say it again. WWE is NEVER going to change. Never ever!. WWE has zero competition. TNA is an ant WWE is the boot; I will let yall finish that metaphor. Even though WWE is not the big as they once was, all they care about is making enough to get by. It an't the 90s and back where WWE had to make big plays against WCW; those days are gone. And quite frankly I don't think that will ever happen again.
    To all the fans complaining long and hard, I get it. I understand you want change. I understand you want good quality wrestling. I understand you want new stars. But, there are days in every person's life where you have to call it quits. Yes, I said it. The battle that yall are trying to fight with the WWE yall lost that battle 8 years ago. McMahon had his mind up 8 years ago. And an't nothing and I mean nothing going to change his mind.
    Also, to the people that hate John Cena, I get it as well. Here is what you need to realize. Cena wouldn't have been in that top spot if it wasn't for Brock Lesnar leaving. But yet, people to this day don't blame Brock Lesnar. He gets a pass.
    Its time to either deal with it or find a new hobby. And for those people who think I am defending WWE don't realize that I gave up with this company. I know that this company is now for the kids. I know that this company will never get better. I learn to accept it and move on and away from it. I suggest yall do the same.

  • @count1632

    To me, the whole CM Punk leaving in 2011 was mostly a work. CM Punk's contract, his pipebomb, and his feelings about WWE booking him is real but him walking out with the title was a work. But this incident is 100% real. Because you don't walk out on WWE where the biggest ppv of the year is around the corner. I don't blame Punk for leaving because he's been treated like crap. And people chanting for Punk or demanding him to return won't do anything. The guy is wormed out. He's been wrestling for about 15 years I believed. That's a pretty long time. So if he's gone for good, maybe he'll come back when AJ Lee does but I don't see him coming back for about a year maybe never.

How in the blue moon can you say he didn't connect with the fans? I hate cena with a passion but I'd never say something about him that's not true just because I hate him. Punk drew the lowest ratings for a WWE Champion in 15 years. He out sold in a little period of time but that doesn't mean he was the top guy. He has no real connection to fans who actually wants to pay to see him wrestle and that's what counts the most. His indyferric crap hasn't done shit to impact the product for the long term.

    • @KapitanAndoy
      @KapitanAndoy 10 років тому

      RockSolidEJV420 Okay. WWE has the highest stock when he left. You can say that Punk had the lowest ratings as a champ but it would not matter as he tops social media with Cena and Rock and Orton. No real connections to fans? Punk's focus is not just to connect, he either tells the cold truth or life is a lot tougher than you think. You think he is CRAP? How would you consider the countless indy wrestlers who got signed? How about all the wrestlers CM Punk brought to TV again before he left? If you were in his shoes, how would you manage a show being a LONE no degree writer/wrestler against these educated writers AND corporate 24/7? Lastly, CMPUNK merchandise DOES make an impact IN the long term bro with his MEDIA appearances.

      Punk is a hypocrite. He claim he was going to be for the people and be against the system then he ends being a part of it. He used his promo just to become one of the breakfast club members because he was never going to get recognize. All the success he did wasn't because he speak the truth it was because he had to kiss ass because he had no other choice. WWE's stock will continue to rise whether he's there or not. He's not a key piece to there success compared to Cena.

Stop buying the PPV's, stop buying tickets to the shows, stop watching the shows on TV, stop buying the merch, ignore them in every way possible. Paying for tickets to the show and chanting "Daniel Bryan" or "CM Punk" won't change it because they already got what they wanted... your money.

    The CM Punk walkout is likely reality. I'm 90% certain. The only thing holding back the other 10% of my confidence was the following: Triple H said we'd be seeing things happen unlike anything before in WWE history in 2014. Now we've seen Austin walkout and CM Punk leave in a work. I'm just saying perhaps this Punk walkout could be part of what Triple H foretold of.. but I'm only 10% confident about that. He could've meant the WWE Network..

    Disregarding most of what you said, the reason Punk got to that top spot is because he wanted to be there. A lot of Wrestlers (hell most wrestlers) dont have that drive or work ethic. Most are just satisfied being in the midcard or jobbing for others. Punk was not satisfied and was never going to be satisfied until he main evented Wrestlemania and thats what made him entertaining and fun to cheer for; and that in and of itself was an instrument of change.

    He's put ppl over for years. I think he took this opportunity to leave and let his absence be felt. I'm sure Punk knows the criticism he will get for leaving but he's done this over and over and this mindset he has provided him with his rise to be honest. So overall I agree with everything you've said. Even the bad things about Punk. It's just ironic that the bad things about him is what has made him become successful. Imma take this as a lesson for my aspirations lol.

    Imagine if Bootista came back as a heel. being Triple H's friend, he gets a shot at the title at Wrestlemania. CM Punk wins the Royal Rumble, keep the Daniel Bryan and HHH feud the same, and after Bryan defeats HHH, he enters the main event which is a fatal 4 way between Randy, Batista, Punk and Bryan. Punk or Bryan win the title, then Batista , Randy & HHH start feuding with The Shield (nothing changing here) and then we get a series of awesome matches between Bryan and Punk and after that you throw in Brock , Cena, Seth Rollins after the heel turn to have some awesome title matches for the rest of the year, man...it could have been such an awesome 2014. but nooo. let's fuck it up WWE.

    Wow, UA-cam gives you a lot of power. Anyone and just about anyone can make a video and sound like the messiah of masses. WWE never made CM Punk, CM Punk made CM Punk. WWE screwed him over time and time again. He was champ for over a year, where he was fighting mid card matches for the most part and Cena was stealing main event spot light. He was turned heel when his dvd was released to have him go against Cena and keep the belt warm for a returning Rock so that WWE can make Rock vs Cena (which was otherwise a bore fest) a lot more important, that is really a good treatment to a champ, isn't it? He had the best match of the year (in my opinion) against Lesnar and then he feuds in the mid card for the remainder of the year. That is really good thinking by WWE, isn't it? I would really like to know uploader's views on Cena, Batista, Triple H etc. Vince claims he made Stone Cold who he was whereas every fan of wrestling knows this isn't true. CM Punk was the ONLY active wrestler showing his protest for not including then US Champ Cesaro in WM last yr in a live press conference. That is really hypocrisy, isn't it? Again, respect to uploader's opinion, but not agreement. Daniel Bryan is being treated worse than Punk now. Do you still want to give WWE credit for making Daniel Bryan as popular as he is today? WWE sucks, Vince sucks, Triple H sucks and creative team can lick my left nut for all they dish out every week in RAW. Man, I was really a fan of this show back in the day but not anymore.

      Ryan Mcsween Cena tries to steal the spotlight from anybody who is more over than him. I always find it funny when people blame the wrestler for not being able to draw and not the way they are being used. If JTG was given the kind of push Cena gets he would be a pretty big draw too. Oh yes because no one from this era ever be as good as someone from the good old days right?

    • @gameboys2020
      @gameboys2020 10 років тому +2

      Ryan Mcsween Same Boring excuse that Cena draws So he has the right to be on top . Understand one thing Cena is at top because he got the chance to wrestle and beat stars like HBK, HHH, Batista, Edge and Rock at the grandest stage Mania. Tell me who has todays wrestler got to wrestle , Cena and at max Orton. How many wrestlers has Cena put over CLEAN, note I said clean. Hardly few. And even if he loses clean then also in months he is treated as the Man and not other wrestlers. Cena lost to Bryan clean but then what happened, Cena returns and win the tittle from Del Rio. Its the duty of Cena to put over young stars clean. Let us see if Cena and WWE puts Bray Wyatt over CLEAN at mania. My guesses are Cena will bury all three member of Wyatt family, or lose to wyatt with some interference and then in coming months own Wyatt family so that Bray looks like Fool. Ask Ziggler, Ask Ryback.
      Like craigh257 rightly said pust JTG to the same level like Cena even JTG will start to draw ratings.

    • @ryanmcqueen3218
      @ryanmcqueen3218 10 років тому

      craigh257 Oh really? you expect me to take you seriously after you ACTUALLY said JTG could be a big star if he got that push? I mean how long has it been since he's actually been on TV? 5 years or so? nothing personal against JTG, I actually feel bad for him because he does have talent. That said, Cena is where he is because he draws BIG $$$ and this is the entertainment industry. It's about what makes money, NOT who works the hardest. There are no ranks, if you don't make money then you will never be a star in WWE. Dolph Ziggler is a prime example of this. CM Punk is good and all.....but he is not on the level of a Cena or a Hogan simply because he's not a money maker like they are and that's why he never main events.

But I'm also not going to be so quick to shit all over him for not wanting to put anybody over on the way out because maybe Punk did wanna work with people such as Daniel Bryan, Antonio Cesaro, Roman Reigns etc. but the dipshits behind the scenes decide they wanna job him out to HHH at WrestleMania instead. If you believe that, you shouldn't be surprised of his off-screen actions.

  • @TrollSimonCowell

    To say that Batista has earned more leverage in contracts with Punk is just laughable. Batista's impact on the WWE can be compared to that of Sheamus or Del Rio. Sure these guys had the belt a few times, but ultimately no one really ever gave a shit.
    And news flash, during Punk's face turn back in 2011, his merch, for several months, outsold Cena's and Rock's. Ratings fell shortly after because they always fall around the time football season starts. And despite being the hottest angle at the time, it had to be pushed aside for the Rock's appearances.
    If you think that Batista can draw more money than Punk, you're just out of your mind. Punk has never had a problem selling merch, and yet for some reason, for the past year, he's been a midcarder.
    And do you really think they'd just let Punk put over Ziggler, or Reigns, upon his request? Come on... you were just talking about how we need to get real and understand how the business works.

    The only reason they let punk hold the title was to give it to the rock. Similar to when bret hart held it only to loose it to shawn. CM Punk wanted to win the title and turn heel on Bryan. Would of been a epic match. Maybe even could of went a hour long at mania. Punk and Bryan draw money. Punk out soled Cena at one point. Punk and Bryan main event at mania would of gave punk to put Bryan over big time. Bryan may still win at mania, but it will not mean anything. A 3 way match is not good. Just like Chris Benoit. Punk and bryan have flat out earned it. All the fans chant we want punk every night. They all chant yes. Punk is my champion in my heart.

    Indirectly, CM Punk has become an instrument of change. Whether he drinks his own koolaid is kinda moot at the moment. In 2011 he couldn't change things by sitting on his couch. In 2014 that's not the case. Was Triple H a step down? Yes, arguably. But with punk gone this forced the hand of creative to give a match that makes sense. Is Triple H a step up for Daniel Bryan? Yes. Not his intent but as of now that's what's happened. I hope he stays out for mania honestly. I don't begrudge him the time off or his reasoning.

And batista winning the rumble and daniel bryan not being in was the last straw. i do belive its not about the money i do belive its about being burnt out like chris jericho or a stone cold in 2002 and cm punk has been very successful and gotten to a certain level and now he wants his friends to get over to a level. I didn't watch to video because it won't play on my device but ill give my opinion of punk leaving. As wrestling fans we tend to think we know a wrestler inside and out. We don't know exactly why he left, not the whole reason anyways. Punk wasn't happy with his spot and I don't blame him. I've always heard if your passionate about your job then you want to be the best in move up for punk that's main eventing one wm. as Austin said most of the roster is happy just getting a paycheck. Not punk and he just proved that. He wants to be the best. There are those happy just sitting around, those who care work hard and speak up just to move up then those who get handed everything. At the end of the day punk is a grown man who did the extremely wise thing and saved his money got tired of his dead end job and quit. I'm in a similar position sept I'm far from a millionaire. Of I were punk I'd at least tough it out til July tho. You can say he's a whinner and ungrateful but I see him as a passionate person who joined the wwe with goals to succeed instead to just make money like most. You can say he's a dick but I say think about all the good things he's done like the guy who got shot or buying Joey mercury a house. Find out the whole story when it comes to fan incidents and don't forget cena, orton and others have had there share. I've met punk and we talked for 30 mins just about comics and next to Kane he was the nicest guy.well that's my thoughts

    Let's think this through for a moment. Why would a guy who had the opportunity for the biggest payday of the year in a couple of months at WM, and then only a few months after that to the end of his contract just walk away?
    1) Something really pissed him off
    2) He's injured or too physically/mentally exhausted to continue
    3) It's a storyline
    I don't see a 4th option.
    I'd like to give the WWE credit for a great work here, but I have ZERO faith in their ability to write something this compelling. Therefore I assume this is legit.The bottom line is he is a human being first and a wrestler by profession. People don't just walk away from their chosen profession without what they believe to be very good reasons. Maybe in the end Punk got tired of trying to "fight City Hall". Maybe it was the fact that for some people being #2 when you know you are better than #1 just isn't acceptable, regardless of a paycheck.
    Anyway, to date there has been no statement from him or the WWE, so at this point any thoughts about this are pure speculation, nothing more. I' for one am not ready to burn the effigy of the guy who got me interested in wrestling again after many years of not giving a shit about Super Cena and the WWE.

And to people who don't like CM punk and think he will pay..... he's made millions working in WWE he will be fine. And yes he's made millions.
