I have always used a case on my phones, it's cheap protection for an expensive device. Aside from protection, cases give me a much better grip on the phone.
Ditto, there’s no argument that it looks much better without a case. But, it’s too expensive and easy to drop without one. I’m still using an 11 Pro and considering multiple drops (even with a case it still happens, though MUCH less often) would probably have paid for many repairs, and/or, new devices without the case.
I'm using my iPhone 15 Pro Max without a case, but I do sometimes put a case on it when I'm leaving home. The last iPhone I used minus a case was the iPhone 6 Plus.
I have never used or buy cases or screen protectors since Iphone X, I have never dropped them either, I like using my device as it is, even though accidental drop can happen anytime, I still prefer to use my 15 Pro max without one, my 14 PM survive without case or screen protector since launch until I sold it which had micro scratches but was still mint and micro scratches never affect my resale value
I feel you man, I just just my phone naked at home. But anywhere else I’ll throw a case on it. I have 3 cases now and I have 2 incoming ( if you include the caudabe sheath free case bc action button )
I feel relatively the same way. I get anxious whenever I don’t have case on my phone, even when I place it somewhere where I know it won’t fall. The phone may not crack, but I worry about scratching, especially when I put my phone on top of a granite countertop which is harder than glass. But at the same time, I really like the shape and feel of the iPhone without the case. This is especially true with my 15 Pro because with my hands, the 15 Pro is the largest iPhone I can hold and operate with one hand comfortably, but that’s only when I have at most a thin case on. So the compromise I reached is that I have a thin case. It gives me the peace of mind that the phone won’t scratch at any surface I put it on while also being able to appreciate the form factor of the phone itself. Granted, the case doesn’t give me a peace of mind when it comes to drops, but those are rather rare in my experience, and even when I do drop it, it doesn’t break the device like.
I went months without using a case on my 12 mini, rarely ever dropped it mainly dropped it at the gym due to short pockets but the floor is a rubber material so didn’t do any damage. I’m caseless now with my 15 pro and dropped it three times on hard floor. Nothing cracked
I love to use the iPhone without a case on but only at home even though I have Apple care plus .I do use a case and screen protector however at the gym I dropped a weight on it and the screen didn’t break nor the saphire screen protector but the display underneath did and didn’t register touch, it was fully protected but luckily I had Apple care.
It stills feels like a perpetual paradox. Why protect a design if you will never see and enjoy its beauty? To me, it feels like wrapping a painting in packaging paper just to make sure it doesn't get scratched. You will protect the beautiful design, but never enjoy the beautiful design. A hard dilemma!
I've found combining a bumper case with a back glass protector to be the best option for me most importantly because I want to optimize the battery's longevity avoiding heat and with a regular case the phone will heat up significantly more while charging or playing games, while a bumper case and thin back glass protector don't really have a noticeable impact compared to going caseless
Most important thing is no scratches on the screen so just use a screen protector. Other than that it’s only a choice between a bulky protective case or no case. These ultra thin cases dont really help as i dropped my phone and still got scratches from the case rubbing against the phone in the drop and bezels arent covered either unlike with the thicker rubber cases…
@@JerrySchulze yeah its the main part of the phone that we use and stare directly at. The rest is not functional but having said that i still like to use a case when im at work because im more active and prone to bumps and drops.
The last iPhone I got was the 13 mini. It had a case but I dropped it with the case and it shattered the back through the case. I used it without a case from then on but it just got progressively worse until I had to buy a 15 pro and use a lifeproof style case on it. I will be keeping this one in the case.
I have AppleCare+ for my iPhone 15 Pro Max but i almost always use a case. I like my iPhone without a case but i'm terrified of having aesthetic details.
Couldn’t agree more. Every year I try to go caseless even with apple care but like you said, 2 things always stop me: #1 One scratch, ding, scuff etc will drive me nuts! #2 How I have to deliberately hold the phone. It has to be a conscious effort. My hands are usually very dry so the phone constantly slips. The shower prop up really resonated. Terrifying to do caseless! These phones are gorgeous but they are not practically designed for the exposure they get. Also why I tend to choose the black color iPhones. I wanted natural titanium but it’s not as case compatible (color wise) as black IMO.
I always use a case and screen protector. I work in environmental services for years in basements of buildings, supermarkets with tile and concrete floors. Dropped the phone constantly Used to use Rhinoshield but they have changed the way case feels, not as sturdy, flimsy now. So these days its casetify Speck, pitaka. I like a raised lip around screen, Mous and Rebel, great cases but no raised lip, just corners are raised. Its called easier swipping, I call it accident waiting to happen
Fair points. It’s alarming though that the possibility of a scratch on a phone can cause so much anxiety to someone. Not criticizing, I have it too. Just expressing my concern about it.
As long as you have a screen protector, the screen is always safe and your phone isnt going to break from a drop barring a freak accident. Other than that who cares about some scratches and dents to the phone… only worrying thing would be cameras but i used a 13 base caseless for 2 years with plenty drops and camera lenses were still not scratched.
At the end of the day it’s INSURANCE! No different than paying any other type of insurance. Better to have it and not need than need it and not have it. Besides, 33 cents per day is pretty reasonable imo. And I dont resell phones so its just a tool for me, so any minor cosmetic changes doesn’t bother me.
Hey man ! How's the durability of the MagEz 4 ? Is it decent enough for waist level drops ? I know it's not a lot of protection, but I'm not sure how fragile it really is / isn't.
The UA-camrs make money from case companies so they do not want to criticize. I am interested in that one as well but on their website they say it is nit great protection from drops.
My mother always told me to never leave home without clothes and to always use protection. For that, I use a case on my phone. And I don't always whip it out "Willy Nilly." That would get me in trouble, something my mother always told me NOT to do. Thanks to my mom, I am not in jail, and my phone isn't damaged.
Nice vid! I have to agree. I wish I could go naked, but I am too picky. A case-free titanium iPhone is stunning imho, but(!) only it's in pristine condition. Micro-scratches bother me to no end, so I am forced to use a screen saver and case.
no case. ever. no fear. that's what apple care + is for. for the price of the case and screen protector, I could break the phone 3-4 times. I don't put it in a pocket with coins or keys. The new titanium feels so good, it's criminal to Use a case. It is Very easy to learn how to hold and care for a naked phone. cases bring pocket lint to every single crevice. no thanks.
@@mgaming7 you will 100% have scratches without a case and a screen protector. Just look more carefully and you’ll see. It all depends on your tolerance level.
this video just proves buying an overpriced phone is dumb, with that kind of price not worth it if it is inconvenient to hold and super vulnerable, whats the point of titanium if the glass could easily break, these phones are for status symbol or social climbing, for an average user like me after upgrading it feels dumb coz im not even using the cameras😂 i upgraded from 7plus to 15, if i want to watch/stream i have my ipad, i want the SE versions but for a budget phone the price is ridiculously high, idk apple is just making fun of the fanatics

Yep series 7 graphite.
Thanks for letting me know, wondering why nobody has done a review on these, looking at the series 9 graphite. The ultra is simply to large ,
