Sometimes, when I'm in my bed, I take the case off my phone just to feel the thrill of being reckless. Then literally ten seconds later I apologise to myself and to my phone and put the case immediately back on.
@@JerrySchulze I just bought an iPhone SE 256. I LEGIT bought the cover before I bought the phone. Actually still waiting for the phone to get to me. And the phone's insured 1 year. I just can't mate, it's... Too hard! LMAO
I've been caseless for 5 years now (no screen protector either) and I've learned to be a lot more careful. I've never dropped my phone ever since I've chosen to really enjoy the design and engineering of my device, and actually be mindful of when I use it. People I know who use cases tend to drop their phones a lot more frequently, and their phones do crack a lot more often. I know I've made the right choice because of this.
Id love to go caseless but those fingerprints on the sides are so awful and annoying. If only there would be something to keep the sides clean all the time (skins didnt help as they peel of after some time and theres still a bit of ss showing up
If you can afford a ferrari, you more than likely can afford to fix it or even buy a new one. However, very few people have ferraris. And so, the story is different with phones; everyone has one. Can everyone afford to fix or buy a new one in case of an unfortunate event? 🤔
@@JerrySchulze I have the iphone 11 pro max in the space grey color that i use without a case and it honestly feels so great in the hand. I have dropped this phone without a case a couple times and it doesnt even have a scratch on it. Before this phone i had the iphone 8 plus and used that without a case as well with similar results.
Mercedes Grider Have the same in Silver. The silver frame scratches even with a case (I use the original from Apple, clear case). It looks likes a 💎 but this color just doesn’t work without a case.
i stopped using my case two days ago. even my “old” iphone 7 feels so premium, and maybe that’s because it’s been in a case so long, but it’s just amazing
@@JerrySchulze good point Jerry. I might have gone caseless before, with something like the 5s or 6 (which in my opinion was the best design so far) but nowadays iPhones are so ridiculously big that it's always a pain to pull one out of your pocket. Expect a ton of drops with the Pro Max. I say you avoid going caseless unless you find a phone that is moderately sized and fits the palm of your hand perfectly.
Big brain idea: Stick a case when you go out, when not using the phone or when you're up to star walking, remove it when you're stationary or when you're certainly sure the environment or situation is safe. At the end, I think most of the time when we use our phones when we're outside/walking is for checking small things so you'd most probably don't even care about the case.
We'll for me I think you should go caseless because like you said earlier that companies spend alot , like tons of time to design a beautiful phone and you just pop a case on it making it bulky, and it depends on the user . If you go caseless and you're not clumsy to make your phone fall on a concrete (or anything that can make it break) in a long period of time , you'll become more responsible and cautious not only to your phone but to anything that is very expensive, and that is a good sign because you'll become confident enough to handle things that are really important in your life. So yea thats my opinion why you should go caseless xD. Hope you have a nice day!
The problem is; no matter how careful you are, eventually you are going to drop your phone. If somebody else bumps into you, you could drop your phone. If nobody else is near you, only then could you go caseless.
I have the leather case for my iPhone, sometimes I remove it and I’m just amazed by how good it feels caseless. I tried going casless for two days and the anxiety was to much for me. Even if I’m careful I feel like it’s just gonna fall and brake
Yeah this is why I like to buy used phones in that way. If something happens to one it's not so tragic. I'd be a lot more careful if I was financing $1,000 phone through a carrier and I'm still in the early stages of it
I know it is quite scary to be caseless but believe me when you know you don't have a case on, you are more careful. I've had dropped phones endless number of times. Now I've been caseless for more than 2 years with my 11 pro and never dropped it for a single time. I love the feel of it.
Right?! I found especially with the iPhone 11 for some reason, it feels uncomfortable using it without a case especially when using it with one hand. I never can get a ‘secure grip’ on it as it feels really slippery and borderline difficult to use one-handedly.
just go both, slap a case for when you go somewhere, work in action, traveling etc, and remove the case whenever you're at home, relaxing, not in a hurry or working something important involving your precious phone
Being apart of the caseless grew I not only appreciate the feel of the phone but it’s lighter, get way more attention in public (idc about that tho) and my phone stands out from the crowd because you can actually see my color not just a black otter box lol but I do use a screen protector because I think it feels better than the default glass personally
I've always gone caseless. I will put it on whenever I first buy it, end up hating it and then removing it. If you treat it as if it has a case and screen protector on, prepare for tons of micro scratches. Honestly it still applies even when you baby it. Thankfully you can only see them in certain lighting. If you have clammy hands then gripping it is no issue either. I still think it's worth it unless you're gonna sell your phone in a year or something like that.
My issue is that the phones are more slippery caseless. Looking at Swappa there is very little price difference between a 2 year old phone listed as mint and listed as Fair.
I try to find the right balance of protecting my investment while also enjoying its aesthetics, by using a clear case. Nothing beats feeling the premium cold finish of your iPhone, though
i'm caseless and my phone is doing healthy for so long, i simply just taking attention on my hand when i'm holding my phone and everything's doing fine
I think that with these modern phone's sizes, going caseless will improve the user experience a lot. These big displays combined with a case are too heavy and stressing for your articulations if you use the phone too much.
I think the answer also depends on how frequent you change your phone. I’m in the iPhone upgrade program so I have apple care plus and “upgrade” my phone every year. I think in my case it’s better to go caseless and no screen protector to enjoy the fine finish of the phone. If I can scratches, it won’t bother me too much because I’ll be replacing it soon. I don’t I need to pay extra for little scratches when trading in so there is that.
I love going caseless, when it feels safe and right to do so. I'm very aware of places I sit my phone, and I lay it down on soft surfaces, or a micro cloth. I keep it in a dedicated pocket, with ABSOLUTELY nothing else in there(no keys, coins, etc). Its not for everyone. I hate bulky, huge cases that take away from the beauty of a phone. Apple Leather cases are the perfect balance, for me. Very slim, soft, beautiful and feels great to hold. Choose wisely. And great video! I have the discussion with myself and friends, very often. Especially when they see me Naked. Phones of course lol.
Keys, coins, steel in general doesn’t scratch the glass, the glass is stronger but more brittle and breaks easier but scratches harder, its the dust in your pockets that scratch your phone thats why people wonder where they got scratches when they’ve been babying there phone lol
I lke using one of those buttery soft leather ultra-slim wallets from Seno. When I am using the phone, it is out of the case. When I go out, I put it in the case. If the phone rings when I'm walking or driving, I don't answer it (usually it is in night mode anyhow). The secret here is that I'm not a slave to my phone. I'll get to answering messages in my own time. I check for messages every few hours (or more frequently at times if I am expecting something). My family knows how to ring through in an emergency (never happened, yet). I's a zen like approach to using a smartphone. I's a tool available to me when I need it if I need it.
I just got my Galaxy Z Flip 3 a month ago and how I see it is beautiful engineering and design like this deserves to be admired. I'm also becoming more mindful of how I handle my phones BECAUSE I haven't cased it. Phones are beautiful feats of technology and i agree, they designed it to look a certain way, so they should be admired for what they are. I see both sides of the argument tho
I take mine off every once in a while and look at how beautiful it is and am thankful I keep my case on to persevere it.. they cost way to much money to be without
I don't put case on my phone ever since i didn't experience dropping my phone. I did that so i can practice myself to be careful on things and not be reckless.
The funny thing is.. I've been caseless because I am convinced it is a waste of money. I am not a phone enthusiast. I change them when I find them unfit for purpose, which is about every 5 years. And the phone I've used for the last 5 years has been naked with no screen protector nor case, and somehow it has never been dropped. I am very much into outdoor activities where there are plenty of risk if the phone get dropped, and find the idea of purpose built rugged phone appealing.. but the only time I end up with a case, is when got one of those extended battery that comes with a case (I used to have one on an old phone). Came to this video because I finally decided to get a new phone, and it is this time every 5 or so years when I am asking myself, should I? Or shouldn't I.. but overall, I am actually kinda surprised to hear that some many people do use cases.
On the contrary, I feel that using a case makes one even more careless, cuz dude I have this cheap rubber and plastic surrounding my phone, I've got protection!!1!! Phone Skins are middle ground, where they provide 0 drop protection, but improve the grip. Phone cases also add bulk. And depending on the angle of impact, cracks WILL happen.
I used to think that but after many years it seems that most people throw it in a case. Makes me think that maybe they don’t need to spend so much effort on the design. But, If the phones are going to be expensive then we want it to look nice.
i compromised by using the iphone silicone case, it fits extremely snug and actually adds to the design of the phone imo instead of taking away from it , although its not going to give the protection of a real case
Worth considering is how hard Apple has been working lately to make their phones less fragile, and if you buy Apple Care +, you are gambling even less. Why make your phone worse with a case that cost $15 or more while screen replacement is just $29? It's worse if the back cracks, but IMO a case on a phone as tough as the iPhone 12 is unnecessary especially if you bought Apple Care plus
This is mostly marketing BS frankly. Glass is glass. Although it is true that in the last five or six years or so, glasses much stronger than most common metals on a flagship smartphone. So it's much more secure against scratching usually, but dropping a piece of glass is still very dangerous. Not much r&d can be done because you're either going to increase the durability of a drop and decrease The scratch resistance or vice versa.
I tend to go caseless after I had the phone for a year or two. When I got the iPhone 12 at launch, I brought out my iPhone 6s Plus and the salesmen was shocked I rocked it naked lol I bought a case for it a week later, and I did drop it once on concrete without any issues with the case. I just took off the case while watching the video and although there’s some grime I need to clean off, man I miss the sleekness and feel of it. I haven’t dropped my phone in a long time and if so it’s on carpet as I work from home. My case now, as it’s the official Apple silicone one just feels oily and I think there’s a small tear on the corner it feels like.
I will always have a case on. I only take my case off once a month to clean it and the phone. Sadly the case that I used scratched up the steel sides of my iPhone XS. So if you have a iPhone with the steel sides I would recommend getting a soft case if you don’t want scratches.
I like fabric sleeves. Keeps it protected in my bag or pocket but I can enjoy the phone caseless when I take it out of the sleeve. It can be a good idea to put on a protective case for some uses for sure. But to be honest I've only cracked a screen once and it was an easy repair I did myself, and for much less than I would have paid for cases for all my phones.
I am a W.I.S.E. certified mobile device repair technician and i can absolutely confirm that a higher percentage of mobile smartphone repairs are from phones with cases and/or vinyl wraps. It's much more rare for a device with no protection to show up for repair.
Going caseless is a good option.. I'm using my phone without a case for a long time. never drop it. It feel premium even tho it's not a expensive phone. 😛
I always go caseless when my phone is almost 2 years old. (Using iPhone xs max) , previous phones were iPhone 5s (2013-2015) and Samsung s6 edge (2015-2018).
Jerry Schulze For the past 2 months i’ve been using my iphone 7 with no case. until i got my XR from amazon last week. And even for the XR i am still caseless. because it is already 2 years old i might keep it going with no case.
Great video. I have a samsung s10+ and i went from bulky otterbox to slim cases. The difference is day and night. I am going with option 1 trying not to be clumsy and just enjoy the piece of beauty. I aim towards being caseless or putting a skin over at the bare minimum and just enjoy the beautiful piece of technology. All three options mentioned are worth trying
I own an iPhone 13 mini and have gone caseless since. It’s wonderful. But the phone fits in my hand. Hard to drop it when my hand fits the phone. I love the mini
I usually opt to use my less expensive phones without a case, especially if they come with a glass back. However, for phones that are priced above $600, I tend to use a case to protect them.
Some months after getting my Galaxy S10 I went caseless. I still dropped it many times, even the display has a little crack on the corner. 2.5 years later my phone is still working fine, and I am still caseless
I had to put a case on my S21 Ultra it's the biggest phone I've ever had. The mix of its size and the overall slickness of it I was terrified I'd drop it. I got a case that doesn't make it bulky but just gives a little extra added grip when holding it. Honestly I'm not minding it. I was also happy that I found a case that doesn't have a screen protector. I feel like having a piece of plastic over my screen would drive me crazy.
If people would actually be careful with their phone, I have friends who drop their phones all the time. I love using my phone without a case. It feels better and you get to experience the feeling of the phone the way the manufacturer intended it to.
I wouldn't call myself clumsy but I have dropped my phone a few times over the years. Mostly with a case on it and it saved the phones. If my phone got damaged during one of those I would have been upset but maybe that is what I need to just get over worrying about it. Its like getting your first scratch on a new car. Once it happens there is nothing you can do to prevent more.
@@JerrySchulze I mean cases have a purpose, but I think what a lot of people need to realize is that you probably shouldn't be using your 1000 dollar glass phone while walking through areas they are likely to drop it. I see people walking without looking all the time. You wouldn't risk dropping the device if you were looking where you were going.
Having your phone caseless, you will notice the color coming out and silver tints underneath will be visible. Go with case and it will still look shiny and new even after years. 🤷♀️
So here I am randomly watching videos to decide whether or not to go caseless permanently as I freed my iPhone 12 mini from it, just now. It feels good, so far.
Rocked an s7 edge caseless. Dropped it and cracked the corner on day 2. Rocked a 2020 Dell XPS bagless, cat knocked it off the table (dented corner). Now I have an s21 ultra, it NEVER leaves its case.
I’m still using an iPhone SE (1st gen) never had a case but I do use the glass protectors. I got through a protector every other month and the original glass is perfect. I drop it constantly. Go ahead, let your phone go naked.
I've dropped two different phones with Samsung cases, and had two expensive screen repairs. My phones often go flying, my hands are small, the phones are big, women carry them around more than men because of the pocket situation. My dogs and cats have knocked them somersaulting across the room, I've stood on them after forgetting them on the ground next to me, and of course the phone snatcher situation on the pavement wondering where your lift is. Now I slap a UAG Plasma on, purchased before I've even gotten the new phone. I do have more cases than phones though - those I couldn't resist. But there is nothing to beat taking the case off - it feels and looks like you have a brand new phone, even though it's a good few years old, you can't believe how slim, sleek and shiny it is!
I personally have a case and screen protector on my iPhone 12, had it on my 7 and xs aswell. I sold the xs and 7 for good money. If you want to Get Any money for your phone when selling it later on, then protect it! It’s tempting to go caseless, but honestly... the satisfaction of pulling out a 2-3 year old phone that still looks brand new is just too good to let go. The new iPhones can’t really be repaired at second hand shops, it will have a pop-up message that says that it can’t verify that the screen is original. You have to pay extra at apple to get a screen replacement.
I replaced the screen of my iPhone 6 4 times. Never had to replace the cases on my iPhone 8 and now 14 Pro Max, knock on wood. What can I say, practice makes perfect.
Ain't nobody care about dropping their phone its all about those annoying micro scratches that build up over time. In other words you can always prevent cracks while scratches are inevitable.
Great video. I don't use case on my Galaxy A71, I use screen protector and a skin on back side. It is enough for me and feels beautiful. I really enjoy every second of using my phone.
I just wish more cases gave you access to the physical buttons. I don’t like the case buttons generally. Usually if I have the phone more than two years I’ll go caseless but always rock a screen protector. Right now I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max, and it’s so big I really want to go caseless.
I like a case because I can set a phony down on the desk or table and not worry about scratches. And many cases add more grip but the added bulk does suck.
I have a Galaxy S10 Plus and I have a rotation I do: I will have periods where I feel more confident I use a clear, flexible case that I can remove easily to use the phone sans case, but I then will have a period of using the otterbox defender. The job is part of it. When I was active duty, I never used anything but a tough case, but in the civilian world I have the comfort of a desk job, where I can use the clear case with less worry.
Honestly, this is the 4th time im watchig this video. To me, the only reason i use a case is the slippery matte edges of my Vivo X70 Pro. it has a slim body and curved amoled panel, so to hold the thing without a case is a slippery experience and... frankly, ecstasy. It feels amazing. Please make another video like this. Very few talk about this topic!
@@JerrySchulze Seriously if you post a new updated video about going naked (phones) then I'll really appreciate it. I'm just really inspired by those who boldly go caseless
i have an iphone 8+ and i used it without a case at home and when i went outside i just put the case on, i like that idea and i also i didnt use a screenprotector:) it has MINOR scratches
That is a good idea. I don’t think I would remember to keep adding the case when I leave. I tried going caseless again with my 12 Mini and 12 Pro. It only lasted a few days and the mini slid off my lap onto concrete scratching 1 corner. Thanks for watching!
For some reason, my phone falls more often when its caseless! Or maybe its that I'm not as attuned to my phone when its in a case? Either way, I use cases on my iphone xs for aesthetic purposes first, and safety second.
No case just tempered glass on my 11 pro. I have apple care plus if I ever need to use it. When I went case less I decided to minimize how I use it handle it and how I put it down. It’s a premium device so treat it as it is.
Jerry Schulze yes just once I have owned iPhones since the 4. I broke the screen one time on a freak accident and with Apple care it was 30 dollars to repair. But that’s the same as many cases since then I have been accident free also now knocking on wood haha.
Haha that sucks. I have pretty much had a case on every phone since the original iPhone, but I usually buy multiple cases per phone just to change things up. Probably not saving any money.
Jerry Schulze hey I do the same but eventually always hate them and waste the cash I have tried peel, totallee, mnml, Tozo and so on just feels wrong to put a device looking like it does in plastic or some TPU not a fan.
Iphone 12 mini is ceramic coated. And seen basically attempted destruction of it. No damage from normal heigh drop to concrete. Not even a scrach on the scree
Going caseless ruined my phone and now I don’t hear the caller and neither do they hear me if the phone is used without the headphones. if you moisturize your hands and face then protect your phone with a case. The lotion and oils from skin will get inside the phone and clog it.
Ima go caseless after watching your video. Still using the iPhone X. Waiting on the 12 pro if they still name it like that. Been having case and screen protector since day 1. Just want to enjoy the pure joy of the device for around 3 months before I buy the 12 pro.
I personally can’t take the case off my iPhone. I’ve simply dropped it too much accidentally already. However, I do use my iPad Pro outside the magic keyboard case without a case and that’s a good compromise in my opinion.
Get a smaller iPhone to avoid dropping so often? Or use a slimmer case. My grip with cases in general is that the bulkier it is, the more likely it is to leave your hand.
I've had cases on all my phones, and they always eventually get a screen crack anyway. I'm starting to think maybe I should go without one, perhaps I'll be more careful with them if I don't feel like I'm holding something rugged.
One day I saw my friend use his phone without case whenever he uses it. When he didn't hold his phone, he put it inside a small wallet like pouch. It's regular cloth pouch but with soft material inside to keep the phone safe from scratches. Now I want to be like him, go caseless but with a safety pouch to put the phone if not used/held.
I broke my 2 phone htc m8 and an iPhone with a case on it so its pointless to put a back case and lose the beautiful back of the phone than that take a chance it s always gone wear and tear enjoy the phone with it feel metal or glass it always feel good to hold and there i read a another comment that it increases your responsibility toward the product you value
Give a like if you come here to see the comments to get a confirmation even after you watched the video and you are still confused to go without a case 🙄
I got phone insurance and it’s a god damn life saver. Recently dropped my iPhone in water and sent it to Apple and got a new one in like 1-2 days, I was so surprised that it came so quickly.
Well it’s nice that you have another option. I have never had to use AppleCare when I have bought it for advice. There’s been a couple times where I’ve had to have device replacements but it was in the one-year warranty.
I am using my Galaxy Note 10 with Phone pouch turn into wallet. And my credit, debit card , money everything is in it. No heating issue or anything. Aura Glow colour in sunshine looks gorgeous.
The point being brought up here in the comments of "caseless makes you careful, cases make you careless" is a really good and interesting one. I have been using cases for a long while, but I'm generally pretty careful and even with the occasional drop, the last phone screen I broke was 8 years ago (first and only time). My Pixel 4 XL just died (not dropped, just stopped turning on) so I'm replacing it with a Pixel 7a, but I think this time I'm going to try going caseless again for the first time in awhile! I think it really is a lot better to be mindful about when you're using your phone, and not be whipping it out all the damn time. Being caseless will really give you a good reason to be mindful! Wish me luck!
I used to only use a case when I was traveling. Now I use a thin TPU case that matches the phone design everywhere except home due to a stupid "friend" that decided to slap my phone out of my hand one day with high force onto a concrete ramp. It was an old plastic phone that I just custom ROMed to make it "new" so thankfully the most physical damage it sustained was paint chips and a small crack in the plastic frame. The worst part is that the phone doesn't really perform the same anymore. Crashes often along with slowness and other stuff these days. I especially don't want my new phone that I just bought to replace that old one to be destroyed without it even being my fault. Like seriously I have only dropped a phone 2 times and both times the phones have had no damage because the fall wasn't even that bad.
I really enjoyed your video! I’ve been wrestling going case less because of a lot of the things he spoke about I do have AppleCare but somehow that doesn’t make me feel better if I drop it then still have to go through the hassle getting it fixed. But I’m jealous of the people that can go case less and don’t care, it is a Beautiful phone I just have a hard time deciding because without the case it looks awesome but I just know myself and I have a bad feeling i’m going to drop it and regret not having a case on it LOL Again thank you excellent video definitely food for thought! 🎉
I take my case off when working at my desk... I place the phone horizontally on the case to not hurt the camera... I have an iPhone 12 pro max and try to take the best care of it
My case seems to actually be scratching the device around the edges. I think dust or whatever is getting into it and because it's just lose enough, it's rubbing; *sigh*. I'm constantly cleaning it. It's also hard to find a case for this particular phone but I think I'm going to try going without one for a while and see how it goes.
My personal feeling is that any phone that requires a case for normal use is a flawed design and shouldn't be purchased or used. Buy something more durable instead of trying to make a flimsy item less flimsy.
Rule #1 is the most crucial and requires practice. Neil Degrasse Tyson on Joe Rogan said it best...”Why do army cadets practice twirling their gun? Because you’re not suppose to drop your gun....EVER!! So if stuff happens to you in combat it’s always attached to your body”. He was using this as a metaphor for not dropping your caseless phone. That always stuck in my head. 😂🤓 As for myself....I’m constantly in and out of a case. I’ll be caseless for a week then I’ll have a close call and then slap a case on for grip. Then a case for style. Then back to caseless. It’s tough being caseless all the time. But I love how it feels in hand. I use my phone a lot. Caseless gives me a hand cramp. A grip case feels so comfortable....damn there I go in the vicious cycle again.
HausOfMontague lol that’s good! Yes, caseless is definitely more slippery and requires more effort to hold on to. I also go back and forth and can’t decide. Wonder if we had more phones like the Galaxy Active lines if this would be better.
Sometimes, when I'm in my bed, I take the case off my phone just to feel the thrill of being reckless. Then literally ten seconds later I apologise to myself and to my phone and put the case immediately back on.

What about people who put vinyl wraps on their new cars? Thanks for watching.
Jerry Schulze I guess that can be compared to phone skins
I have to imagine the amount of phone skins out there is really small. Maybe Durand can comment.

Stick a case when you go out, when not using the phone or when you're up to star walking, remove it when you're stationary or when you're certainly sure the environment or situation is safe.
At the end, I think most of the time when we use our phones when we're outside/walking is for checking small things so you'd most probably don't even care about the case.
I like it.
Such a hassle though, imagine how many times a day you'll need to apply and take off case
I have never dropped my phones on the outside but when I'm on my house.....
Thanks for watching and you have some good points.
@@JerrySchulze no probs!
It's called a clear case
@@ZyTheBoxer clear cases make the phone bulky and have a weird texture to them. And after using it for a few weeks, you’ll be left with a yellow case.
I will go careless now and then. Sometimes it lasts a few minutes, sometimes a few days.
Yeah this is why I like to buy used phones in that way. If something happens to one it's not so tragic. I'd be a lot more careful if I was financing $1,000 phone through a carrier and I'm still in the early stages of it
Exactly the same happens with me…
Yeah the anxiety is real
I know it is quite scary to be caseless but believe me when you know you don't have a case on, you are more careful. I've had dropped phones endless number of times. Now I've been caseless for more than 2 years with my 11 pro and never dropped it for a single time. I love the feel of it.
a lie
Same for me, it’s just a mental thing
Facts!!!
I only go caseless on my iPhone 11 when I’m at home, it does feel great though
Good idea. Part time caseless. Thanks for watching!
Taking case in and out I think is tedious and pointless
Right?! I found especially with the iPhone 11 for some reason, it feels uncomfortable using it without a case especially when using it with one hand. I never can get a ‘secure grip’ on it as it feels really slippery and borderline difficult to use one-handedly.
The phone manufacturers puts lot of time and effort in design and we put a case. The beauty of the phone is gone.
Yes that’s true. But if I drop it that also ruins the beauty.
just go both, slap a case for when you go somewhere, work in action, traveling etc, and remove the case whenever you're at home, relaxing, not in a hurry or working something important involving your precious phone
Exactly 💯
Being apart of the caseless grew I not only appreciate the feel of the phone but it’s lighter, get way more attention in public (idc about that tho) and my phone stands out from the crowd because you can actually see my color not just a black otter box lol but I do use a screen protector because I think it feels better than the default glass personally
I thought I was the only one to think the screen feels better with a screen protector.
The naked screen has a coating that I find tacky.
Totally agree. Thanks for the comment.
i'm caseless and my phone is doing healthy for so long,
i simply just taking attention on my hand when i'm holding my phone and everything's doing fine
I don’t I need to pay extra for little scratches when trading in so there is that.
ya, if you dont mind the scratches and dont care about resale then caseless is nice.
Phones of course lol.
lol...of course!
Damn that last sentence caught me off guard 😂😂. Props to you for going caseless brother
Definitely need to start carrying a microfiber cloth to.
Keys, coins, steel in general doesn’t scratch the glass, the glass is stronger but more brittle and breaks easier but scratches harder, its the dust in your pockets that scratch your phone thats why people wonder where they got scratches when they’ve been babying there phone lol
I only go caseless when at home, but when I'm on outdoor, i always put the case.
Zint ATLAS thanks for commenting. Seems to be a pretty close race between case and a caseless.
I’ve been caseless and nothing serious happened. It feels good to go caseless but requires extra careful.
I take mine off every once in a while and look at how beautiful it is and am thankful I keep my case on to persevere it.. they cost way to much money to be without
U spend alot for the phone, and the feel, not for a 10 dollar case
May be we should stash them in a case after we broke them! 💁🏻♀️ Feel the vibes until that happens!!
Dominic Rozario haha. I like that.
I don't put case on my phone ever since i didn't experience dropping my phone. I did that so i can practice myself to be careful on things and not be reckless.
I been caseless. Number 1 rule, never leave your phone on your lap while driving. You don’t want to forget that and get out the car
lol, So true!!!!
Bro..i still dont learn knowing damn well i use my 11 pro max caseless smh
And depending on the angle of impact, cracks WILL happen.
using my iphone without case feels really good as i think how great your phone feels is the main reason we purchase it
I used to think that but after many years it seems that most people throw it in a case.
Good choice for a case. I did a review on the Apple silicone case and I also did a 5 month review. Curious if you have the same long term opinion.
@@JerrySchulzeI've only had mine for a few days so i'm afraid i can't give an opinion on that . I'll check out your 5 month video though , thanks .
I dropped my phone less after I removed the case *because* I was more careful with it than I ever was when it had a case
Cases are a must if you sell your phone every couple of years
I will always have a case on.
Interesting. Why is that??>
I think it's because the vast majority use cases. Very few people I know don't have a case on their phone.
Going caseless is a good option.. I'm using my phone without a case for a long time. never drop it. It feel premium even tho it's not a expensive phone. 😛
I don’t like cases. But I’m a careful person too. I have a case for my phone when i go to the gym, but the rest of the time im caseless.
I always go caseless when my phone is almost 2 years old. (Using iPhone xs max) , previous phones were iPhone 5s (2013-2015) and Samsung s6 edge (2015-2018).
JPT that is a good idea. When you get closer to replacement time start enjoying it without a case. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing! Good luck to you and I am glad that one of my suggestions helped. if you do get a skin let me know what kind you get.
I own an iPhone 13 mini and have gone caseless since. It’s wonderful. But the phone fits in my hand. Hard to drop it when my hand fits the phone. I love the mini
Thats what i am using now.
I usually opt to use my less expensive phones without a case, especially if they come with a glass back. However, for phones that are priced above $600, I tend to use a case to protect them.
I go caseless when I’m at home but I’m to scared to do it in public
MileHighClips- Tiktok lol what you do behind closed doors...
same 😅
I only do that when I am on my bed
i like using my iPhone 7 naked with no cases on it it feels a lot better
Ade Olorundare unless it is the jet black isn’t it super slippery?
I love i phone 7 design it's small and look cool. It's great for one hand use.
Some months after getting my Galaxy S10 I went caseless. I still dropped it many times, even the display has a little crack on the corner. 2.5 years later my phone is still working fine, and I am still caseless
Renegade!
I like the matte protectors to stop glare and protect from small scratches.
@@oneminutewonder77 Very true, I think I mentioned that in the video.
Having your phone caseless, you will notice the color coming out and silver tints underneath will be visible. Go with case and it will still look shiny and new even after years. 🤷♀️
Good point!
But you are never gonna touch and use and see because it is in the case. So what’s the point ?
So here I am randomly watching videos to decide whether or not to go caseless permanently as I freed my iPhone 12 mini from it, just now. It feels good, so far.
Congrats!!! And good luck. 🍀

Rocked an s7 edge caseless. Dropped it and cracked the corner on day 2. Rocked a 2020 Dell XPS bagless, cat knocked it off the table (dented corner). Now I have an s21 ultra, it NEVER leaves its case.
lol
I’m still using an iPhone SE (1st gen) never had a case but I do use the glass protectors. I got through a protector every other month and the original glass is perfect. I drop it constantly. Go ahead, let your phone go naked.
lol, yes! do it!
I feel this!
Going caseless now on my 11. Feels so nice!
awesome!
i have the iphone 11 as well I wanted to go no case it I’m so scared i have AppleCare yes but even so
I personally have a case and screen protector on my iPhone 12, had it on my 7 and xs aswell.
Update: I dropped my phone today on concrete without a case and now it has scratches all over the side. Imma throw a case back on
If it is the silver version than you can use any stainless steel polish. If colored not much you can do.
@@JerrySchulze thank you! I’m never gonna use a case anymore lol. It feels so much better in the hand.

I think you nailed it!
thats what bothers me the most. those tiny scratches
@@kimberleysunchuk2909 already put a screen protector on the iPhone 12 pro.
I also keep going back and forth. Sometimes I get the courage, then it wanes.
Yestersay I decided to left case phone. I prefer design and feel touch to my phone.
Wow, that's awesome and thanks so much for checking it out. This was one of my first few videos so maybe its time for a re-do?

It does feel sooooo much better if you take your phone case off. However, if you drop your phone... Then bye bye phone
True Story
Finally going caseless after using my device for around 4.5 yrs. 😄🙏
For some reason, my phone falls more often when its caseless! Or maybe its that I'm not as attuned to my phone when its in a case? Either way, I use cases on my iphone xs for aesthetic purposes first, and safety second.
Alexandra Arrieta that phone is super slippery without a case lol. It’s less work to hold when it’s not slippery.
No case just tempered glass on my 11 pro. I have apple care plus if I ever need to use it. When I went case less I decided to minimize how I use it handle it and how I put it down. It’s a premium device so treat it as it is.
Good points. Have you ever needed to repair a device? Thanks for watching!

Boshen Jia God Speed! Perfect time to do it now that it’s approaching 3 years old.
Good thought.

As an owner of the beautiful S22 Ultra it pains me, having to put a case on this beautiful phone 📱
Dead Man wow that is good. If stores were open you could do same day.
Jerry Schulze that would be great, only down side is I live 3 hours away from the nearest Apple store😢
Well it’s nice that you have another option. I have never had to use AppleCare when I have bought it for advice. There’s been a couple times where I’ve had to have device replacements but it was in the one-year warranty.
Timothy Moore Apple care plus has accidental damage protection.
Cases where designed for when you drop your phone and smash it you can cover up the damage
😂 ok yep, that what I did with my 12 Mini.
I am using my Galaxy Note 10 with Phone pouch turn into wallet. And my credit, debit card , money everything is in it. No heating issue or anything. Aura Glow colour in sunshine looks gorgeous.
Going without a case is cool but I to afraid I'll drop it.
Me too!!!
I only let my phone go butt naked at night when I’m lying in bed. I love the way the iPhone design feels in my hand.
Andrew Barrett I guess that is as good a place as any! Thanks for sharing.
That’s pointless. Why have her naked if no one is around to see her awesome body knowing it will turn you on😂😂
I used to only use a case when I was traveling.
But I’m jealous of the people that can go case less and don’t care, it is a Beautiful phone I just have a hard time deciding because without the case it looks awesome but I just know myself and I have a bad feeling i’m going to drop it and regret not having a case on it LOL
Again thank you excellent video definitely food for thought! 🎉
The anxiety is real!!! Lol
It's also hard to find a case for this particular phone but I think I'm going to try going without one for a while and see how it goes.
sorry, that does seem to happen with some cases.
My personal feeling is that any phone that requires a case for normal use is a flawed design and shouldn't be purchased or used. Buy something more durable instead of trying to make a flimsy item less flimsy.
Go caseless, but use a screen protector 👍
Rule #1 is the most crucial and requires practice.
Neil Degrasse Tyson on Joe Rogan said it best...”Why do army cadets practice twirling their gun? Because you’re not suppose to drop your gun....EVER!! So if stuff happens to you in combat it’s always attached to your body”. He was using this as a metaphor for not dropping your caseless phone. That always stuck in my head. 😂🤓
As for myself....I’m constantly in and out of a case.
If you are rich go without a case 😢
