These guys are gasing it up. I'm in and out of all these neighborhoods on a daily basis. Just mind your own business and people don't mess with you
Im in and out of these same hoods gang with personal relations to em you for sure lying to these people 😭, I aint gone let you cap to these folks. We just aint got strong politics as far as our blocks go & the gang culture but most def stay on yo toes out here yall shit happens to random mfs all the time. Stay Dangerous in the D 😂
You ain't even from the D. We Don't say gassing it 😂
Yeah during the daytime I've lived in the city my entire 40 years and the two things you don't do in Detroit is go to gas stations and liquor stores after dark
But I mean how much gas and up can you do when Detroit's been in the top three FBI's most dangerous cities since the 70s every year more than any other city 😢
I've stopped at red lights often in this neighborhood loool, but you do have to be on point

Most of us had a little neighborhood click, gang or crew during our childhood teenage years but somewhere between the ages of 16 to 25 that mess starts to get old. Some of us get around 17 to 25 and realize our hidden dreams and hidden goals have nothing in common with the people we grew up with.
F' real, perfectly said💯
Yeah, man. Detroit is dangerous, and I grew up in that bitch for my first 30 years in life. But I'm not sure how dangerous. Im thinking shit in Mexico, South America and parts in the middle east and africa, china, has to be way worse.

Absolutely Detroit is pretty much block by block I remember I was cool on Burt rd and Trinity but would have to run past Pierson and not dare to walk as far as evergreen I had to stay in my lane if I wanted to be safe
The real flex is getting out the hood, not staying in it
No
the real flex is staying in your city to help turn it around. detroit is a beautiful city with lots to offer
@@robertw0136I said, Hood
@@tonymaldonado1659 areas considered the “hood” in detroit still have immense history and culture with many still having least some surviving beautiful architecture. crime in the city has already decreased a good amount so far making a lot of dangerous areas more habitable for revitalization. the best way to fight against gentrification (if that’s your type of thing) is trying to heavily involve locals in the turnaround of their neighborhoods.

I'm in and out of these neighborhoods in Detroit on a daily basis and you actually do need to treat every intersection like a 4 way stop. Because people ignore stop signs and red lights all the time.
That's just defensive driving... been like that in the City for the last 30 yrs. WHATS NEW?! Elmhurst and Holmer
@j.l.ferguson34 yes but out side of the city you don't have to do that
@@puremichpaule of course you don't have to.... but it prepares you for the road rage of of metro Detroit and othe othe foolishness in state.
@j.l.ferguson34 no you do. People fly threw stops signs and red lights like they are not there everyday.
@@puremichpaule Running stop signs that rudimentary. However, there are many other things you have to deal with due to the demographic not being the same.
Detroit is one of those towns if you're respectful, know where you're going, you're good. Keep to yourself and most will leave you be. People who haven't been there can think what they want, but don't go tempting fate. Just don't.
No your thinking about it to hard detroit had the fewest homicides since 1966 in 2023. Most people you talk to will talk to you normally just be respectful.

These fools don’t see that being possible
When kids refuse to grow up!!!! They think gang banging is a life and we all know its not. There is an entire world out there, but if you do not grow the hell up you will never see that amazing world.
indeed
Whats so amazing about it?
@@Oozy9MillimeetahThat's a stupid question.
@@aaronflowers8881 well let's be honest most of those "gang bangers" are below the average IQ and would struggle immensely in the job market, at best most of them would get some minimum wage service job... its a tough reality, since even people who have college degrees struggle making it these days... and even people who have experience in trades are switching jobs on almost regular basis...
There are regular, non gangbanging people, who think that there isn't anything worth travelling for. Like they literally say "what's different anywhere else?" Now imagine how it is for someone who grew up uneducated and poor, with many societal and social things reinforcing it. (white record labels paying rappers more to preach violence, and the people they grow up with also doing and living that)
So much goodness in our city . This is what you want to show the world.
Exactly and these clowns/failed rappers made it even worse Detroit is so beautifl and so much great stuff going on and these clowns get on camera and do this
@user-gk7kj3ze7l motown, motor city, historic parks. ..first in a lot of things. We do not have a skid road, thankfully. We know when and where to run red lights and railroad tracks. Most Detroiters don't even do that anymore. People that come to Detroit from outside think that's how things work. It dont work like that. We don't need police telling us how to act. We hold each other accountable. People from outside are the ones trashing the city. Belle isle ,,,the list goes on. Techno and jazz

The entire state of Michigan has abandoned places, entire ghost towns. You do not have to be scared in Detroit. I was laughing most of the video because they were exaggerating so much. Detroit is not all negative. They have so many opportunities compared to the rest of the state. You need to be on alert anywhere in America. I learned that after being robbed multiple times in small towns. There are just as many jobs in Detroit as anywhere else. Tons of opportunities. They are delusional and blind if they dont know that.
Bro I can tell you are not from Detroit.. stay in school in the suburbs you will come here and get killed talkin like this 🤣🤣🤣
I loved Detroit being from the south. I was a teenager visting there in summer of 97-98 and staying there from 1999-2001. I agree that it was not that dangerous.

I never understood the glorification of this life. These people act like it's a badge of honor to be like this. They choose to make it dangerous. They know right from wrong but just don't care or value life. People complain that there isn't any investment into those communities, but when there is, what happens? Grand opening...grand closing (as Chris Rock said). You can't do this, don't go there, don't wear this or that. I'll never understand that.

Why take from each other or hurt each other. Graduate and go in the service if you think your bad. Service provides a trade, money, excitement and a place to lay your head. Why be up a bunch of mens azz you can't trust. Tell you what go to jail and see how many of them would be knocking on your baby momas door. Keep it up!
Shit get real but damn.. I really hate to see my city display is such a negative light. There is alot of positivity to speak on
What's sad is these men talk about how awful and dangerous their neighborhood is as if they are proud of it. They're not embarrassed to live like criminals or that they aren't safe. They don't want it clean things up. They're brainwashed by rap music into thinking that this incredibly sad life is going to make them all rich and happy or something-- maybe they will have more to rap about. But most of them will likely end up dead or in prison. Poor kids are clueless
No we just know what is and accept it. When you got a whole city thinking survival ain’t shit gone change and my hometown which is Detroit is a perfect example of that. We like “ shid it is what it is
Why would you be? Ashamed, where you from the darkness, it becomes second nature.
