      Attainable is the word. Perhaps easy to maintain after you've been fit for years. But having a certain level of fitness/leanness and having a "shredded six pack" are completely different things. This guy is flexing so hard he can barely speak and he's only got a 3 pack.

      There you go. The guy is trying to be provocative & empowering by calling it “easy”, but “simple” is what he really means. It’s incredibly difficult at first… and for a while after that. Thinking that getting fit is supposed to be “easy” will only make you feel inadequate when you inevitably struggle in the beginning.

      You’re probably working out more than you actually need to. Multiple studies now have shown that maintaining your muscle mass takes MUCH MUCH MUCH less weight training than previously thought, it was something like 3 sets PER WEEK of each muscle group was enough to maintain your current muscle size.
      As for staying lean, might be difficult if you’re fond of overreating junk foods and have to constantly go on cuts, but if you’re prioritizing high protein meals, staying in maintenance consistently, and doing relatively light full body muscle training every week you will maintain your physique easily.
      Again, chances are you’re psyching yourself out and doing more than you actually *need* to to maintain. Keeping a physique once you have it is piss easy, it’s GETTING that physique that is so hard.

    When I was 25, single, and had a relatively low stress job I agreed completely and thought it was the biggest line of BS ever when men in their 30s and 40s would tell me they just can't do it. Now that I'm 39, am in a stable relationship, have a 4-year old daughter, and have an extremely stressful, but well-paying job... I find it nearly impossible to reserve so much energy to commit to my fitness goals. It's certainly not impossible as many, many people can do all that I do AND maintain a great physique, but I would argue that would place you into a MINORITY of people that can pull that off. At 28 I was 185lbs with 7% body fat (I'm 5-7) and I spent less than 4 hours per week in the gym. At 39 I'm nowhere close to that and my diet has gone down the drain because my prep time has evaporated. When you make fitness your priority you can attain any physique you want, but the vast majority of people eventually shift their focus. Moral of the story: dedicate your time to your health when you are younger, because you may not be so lucky to make that decision in a few years time.

Purer alcohols are just water and ethanol and while the body is VERY good at metabolizing alcohol into energy, it can only metabolize less than 3% at best into stored fat. You can kill yourself from alcohol poisoning before you could replace your daily calorie intake with pure alcohol. It's the beer that does it, you need so much to get buzzed and the girly mixed drinks are much worse.

    Years ago at my peak fitness, around 26 years old, I lifted heavy 6 days a week, I did cardio 3 times a week, I tracked every gram of food that entered my body and never went outside of my macros except for one cheat day per month. I saw results for sure - I was healthy, strong, and in much better shape than I am now for sure. But I NEVER had visible abs. Ever. And even without visible abs, keeping the physique I had was hard and took a lot of work on my part. When I stopped tracking but still ate well and worked out, I immediately gained a few pounds. Now, with two kids and a job and a whole other life so different from the one I had at 26, dedicating hours and hours per week to long workouts, tracking, planning, and meal prepping just to not have visible abs just isn't a thing. @@73oldsmobile88 not sure if you’re being serious, or just trying to troll, but I’ll take you at your word and give you some advice. Start with small achievable goals. The little goals add up over time. Stay consistent with the work it takes to reach those goals. You’re going to have hard days. We all do, it’s life. You gotta dig deep and realize that life is pain. You have to learn to love your suffering. With that being said though, physical activity is only a small part of this journey. You can’t outrun a bad diet. It’s easy to eat right. Just don’t put processed crap inside of you. Shop on the perimeter of the grocery store. If you snack, eat mixed nuts. For breakfast eat avocado toast on rye, or some other whole grain bread. Eat lots of fruit for snacking too. This sounds counterintuitive to some people, just because fruits have a lot of sugar, and hence “carbs”. But they are not that bad when they are eaten whole, along with the fiber and the rest of the fruits. It helps with absorption and digestion. Eat lean meats chicken breast, sirloin steak etc… try to avoid processed sugar (or processed anything for that matter). Realize that you will make mistakes and don’t beat yourself up over them. Learn from them. Oh and don’t drink alcohol or take over the counter medications. Alcohol is nothing but a poison and o promise you that you will feel the positive effect by giving that shit up. Don’t do drugs, but that’s self explanatory. Don’t give up!

      You have to reject the idea of always eating. It's been normalized. There's a fast food joint or a place to eat on every corner. And that kind of food itself has ingredients that aren't satiating.

    Totally agree, I mean, I’m trying to do a body transformation from 20 stone to 14stone, I keep failing miserably but that’s because I’m not disciplined hard on myself, so it’s my own worst enemy but will never give up, will do it no matter how long it takes, consistency is the key, smaller portions, more greens, protein and water, we can drink alcohol but not too much as it has loads of calories so weight loss probably best to avoid it overall, bad mad respect to this guy, doesn’t sound full of himself, just being straight up honest, respect man

    I am 5’8 32 year old got my 6 pack abs about a month ago. I lost around 20 kgs in weight in the span of 8 months by strict diet and workout and one day I saw them while working out and had full pump and couldn’t believe it 😂. It’s doable just needs discipline and monitoring the progress. 💪

      Stopping alchohol was as easy as it was to start drinking it for me, Once I hit 18 I drank pretty often during the next year, then there was 1 time I got so drunk I almost passed out and since that day I haven't drank at all no urges even, that easy. I'd rather drink diet sodas anyways the alchohol taste was never really my thing, just the relaxing effects of it, But the hangover for the entire next day and negative effects on health makes the good feeling of 2 hours not worth it and that easy to stop, for me

    It should be the norm to look like this. This is how a healthy young man looks

    • @SG_88
      @SG_88 4 місяці тому +4

      Close but no. Your muscles should be derived from normal activity, chopping wood or doing chores for example. Just cut out sugar, carbs, and vegetables, eat animal products, and get real, normal exercise. This will give you a naturally muscular body as opposed to a temporarily enlarged one that disappears within a few weeks of not picking up and putting down heavy things with no purpose.
