As an aunt of a child with autism, Experimental Film hits home in the sense that children in general are challenges but assign disability into the mix really ratchets things up. Sounds like a heavy book! Ehh I think I will skip Experimental Film. Sounds like there’s alot of extraneous info that idk if I can slog through. Yup, definitely reading Reprieve. Oh no. I wanted to read experimental film…. But I think the issue with the mentally disabled child might end up making me mad. I’m the mother of a daughter most likely on the spectrum (no diagnosis yet), and that line you read was enough to irritate me!

She does have a redeeming character arc but it’s really depressing and hard to get through, and I don’t even like kids.
