"Danish colonial rulers" - I think it is would fair to mention that Greenland has its own national parliament and that the vast majority decisions are made by the Greenlandic government. A few areas are still handled by Denmark, such as defense. But for the most part Greenland is a sovereign nation.
Of course there is a colonial history and Denmark have certainly committed crimes against the Greenlandic people. But in comparison to their relatives in Canada, they kinda got off easy. Though that may have more to do with distance than humanism.

@Blacka Đøn yeah independence sounds great until you realise what happens when the Danish money stops flowing. They would be on a UN humanitarian aid list for essential items like food in a matter of months without the constant stream of money Denmark gives greenland.

I’m from Greenland... in 2016 I was in Denmark for boarding School, almost every danish students bullied me, tell me RACIST jokes and told me to kill my self, and even the adults tell me racist jokes. About 2 Months in Denmark some of my friends comitted suicide because they been bullied from DANISH students!

I'm sorry to hear that. Despite being so developed and apparently progressive, many parts of Europe still have a serious racism problem, that is all too apparent these days in their national politics.

So sorry to hear that. I know all too well about the racial abuse people from greenland face in Denmark. Was it on an "efterskole"? Ethnic danish teens can be horrible towards minorities, but the truth is that a lot of these exact teens have their own issues, they unfortunately use minorities to distract them from the harsh reality that awaits them at home.

Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial.
On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people.
While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there. Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there.
I've been in the process of change for a while now and I have made some decent changes.
I saw your profile and it intrigued me. I wanted to learn more about who you are and what type of path you would like on in life.
      Can we talk?

how about developing tourism. I'm sure people wud love that sort of ice traditional inuit lifestyle. but competing with iceland that has a tourism industry is going to be tough.
I cud understand the suicide though, the place is just snow for miles and miles. People before preoccupied themselves just trying to survive but now with modern life there's nothing to do.

    • @LordDavid04

There's Canada for that. With no direct links from Greenland via Canada anymore (it might resume in the future), people can easily just go to say Ottawa, Canada and then take a flight to Iqaluit, Nunavut. Here you can get your fix of Inuit culture, whilst being around more people who can speak English and a slightly more developed tourism industry. No need to change your money too, even if prices can be a little more expensive.

Most people do not seek better life in Denmark, but it is a necessity to go there to seek higher education in University or other educations.
This video makes it look like ALL life in Greenland is misserable, unfortunately, and that is sad that it is generalised so much in this video.
Greenland has only been "Modern" since 1960's, so we are still very very new in all modern development. So colonial time is not that long ago, and our close ancestors trauma is still an existing social herritage in todays society in Greenland. So yes we do have a high number of suicides and other social problems, like all other native peoples culture today, but it is definately not a general problem here and shouldn't be seen as if it was MOST people here doing badly.
    And wait,
reindeer herders?? That is not a traditional way of life, that was introduced under colonial time from Europe - Any kind of farming is not traditional

instead of saying if there are things you don't like where you are, work hard to change them
people may have a better weather in most cities all over Europe but what they do? they divide their time between office, shopping malls, home - so they spend in the interiors most of their time anyhow
