I have a top load LG Model WT5680HWA. The top panel does not have the retaining clips in front as shown in this video. There are two screws on the back of the machine which will allow you to move the top panel forward (or backward - can't remember for sure now) and you can then lift it up. I couldn't find any videos showing how to do this for this model but was able to figure it out on my own.
I had been unable to complete a full wash cycle with my LG top load machine since having a pipe repaired in my home a few days ago during which, the water to the house was shut off. After restoring the water I started a load of laundry and got the IE code. I tried several different cycles and nothing worked. So I googled the code and got your video. After watching this video I decided to take the display panel off of the washer. I followed your instructions completely, I removed the water hoses and immediately noticed a large amount of sediment where the cold water hose is attached to the machine (we are on a well). I pulled the little blue tab and retrieved a filter that was packed with sediment. Behind that there was another small filter, also packed full. I gently scrubbed out the filters and put everything back together. I just successfully finished my first load of laundry in 4 days! This video wasn't exactly the problem that I was having but it did put me on the right path and gave me the courage to dismantle the computerized portion of my washing machine. This is now the 2nd time I have fixed this machine. This winter it was a construction grade staple in the pump. Thank you very much for the video!
Your video is awesome, I have one question, once I removed the 10 mm wash plate mounting screw I could not lift up the wash plate it seems stuck. Do you have any suggestions for freeing up the wash plate to get it out of the washer?
Thanks! I had put off fixing a lid latch that sometimes would not lock. It finally gave out and your video made it easy to fix. I was shocked at how easily the washer can come apart. You guys rock.
Great video. I just cleared my E6 error. I was u certain what the issue was so I removed the stator cover and the little motor with the actuator arm. I played with the clutch and it seemed as though the actuator arm had possibly gotten stuck or had become unhooked from the little motor. I pushed in on the clutch so the spring would go down and allow me to put the actuator arm back in. I then released the clutch and it hooked back on to the actuator arm? Put everything back together and it worked. From the other videos I had watched I was thinking I needed a new clutch or possibly the motor for the actuators. Turns out the actuator arm had either unhooked itself or gotten stuck. This video saved me a ton of money
My LG top loader washing had a grinding noisy . I didn't know how to remove the inner silver agitator until i watched this video. I removed it and found a penny got caught . Removed it and machine is working without the noisy. thank you!
Thanks for posting this video. I kept getting a 4E (tub not filling) error and water was spilling onto the floor under the washer. After getting in there, I found that the hose that leads to the detergent dispenser was detached, which had been held on by a flimsy spring clip. $1.41 later for a tube clamp, and everything was back to normal.
I want to thank you for all these videos especially on this unit as I have the same one. (Now 2 of them) One with a te code and the other that throws a UE every time. I have the new part for the te code and now I know how to fix the top part of the tub for the UE. Thanks a million.
Followed your UA-cam video for replacing the clutch assembly on an LG washer. It’s a lot easier on the video lol Initially the original part didn’t seem like it wasn’t engaging the agitator. I could hear the plastic teeth grinding on each other but the agitator would barely move. Fast forward to the new part being installed and the agitator isn’t moving at all. I’ve secured it to the shaft but it sounds like it’s trying to move it but it doesn’t. I thought maybe it was too tight so I loosened it and now it only spins when the inner tub turns. I even flipped the “washer with teeth” to no avail. Any thoughts as to what I did wrong? Thanks!
Can you help with a "dc" error message. It seems that we suddenly are experiencing unbalanced loads on a regular basis and have not had this problem before. I have checked all of the suspension rods and springs. Is there a liquid filled balance ring that could be faulty or leaked? Thanks
My washing plate, upon turning counter-clockwise, undoes the mounting screw, no matter how much I tighten it. Does the part the washer slides into need replacing? Mine looks worn so I'm assuming that the washing plate keeps turning on its own after it stops.
Can you tell me how to remove the top/lid of the newer lg top load model, such as mine, wt5680hva? There are no spring clips at the top/front, so a putty knife as you show in your video does not work.
Please, could tel me about the Error "tE", my washer is showing up this error.and I don't pay $300 to fix it. my husband alread changed the thermistor, and nothing. Thank you

Great video! My LG top loader washer just started making a bearing type noise when it slows down from the spin cylce. Is it common for the clutch to make that noise when its starting to fail? Thanks
I'm going to purchase a washer like the one in the video from a private party. OK to lay it on it's back while transporting it if I do it carefully and am on smooth roads?
Front Loader not draining -lots of errors.. VERY HELPFUL Video to show how to access the pump: turns out all the various errors were caused by a corroded wire right at connector to the pump so i bought new connector at Ace Hardware and installed it and modified plastic clip to fit slightly different Ace connector - taped it up and no more issues!!! - two hours and $0.50 connector; seems the corrosion was maybe due to bleach / chlorine - is was blackened and broke right off - LG could protect this wire / connector much better...
Barry Furey Consulting & Training We had to use an impact drill to remove it. You could try putting a wrench on the nut and then tap it with a mallet to loosen the nut.
Unfortunately Some of those wash plates had RED locktite installed at the factory due to then coming loose. As you now red locktite is permanent. Good luck on buying a new washer.. LG will not admit to using the red one.
Unto Ryodi , i have loosen, remove the bolt but the plate itself wont come off. Is it possible the the plate itself is adhere to the bottom or did lg only used the red loctite on the bolt only?? Any ideas?
i have a lg wt5070cw top load washer was getting a le code then it went away when it was on spin cycle it started making a horrible racket shut it off. now when i spin by hand the wash plate or the tub it makes a clicking noise . watched a video and decided to pull the wash plate out. i removed the plastic center cap then removed the bolt and my wash plate will not come out.saw where someone recomended pouring dish liquid or softener in bolt hole to losen deposits that may have it stuck.still to no avail will not come out.even tried tapping on the bolt with a hammer. i then took a longer bolt same threading got a couple of hooks to get underneath the wash plate so i could pull up at the same time then hit the center bolt with a air hammer with over 150 psi still will not break loose from the shaft. im begining to think im going to have to destroy the wash plate to get it out.please any feedback would be most appreciative sorry for the bad grammar my clothes are getting dirty
My parents have the same washing machine and sometimes when its spin fast sometimes the washing machine starts shaking a lot til starts to hit tilt a little

Usually the bleach compartment uses a siphoning effect to remove all the bleach and water. Make sure the tube sticking up from the bottom of the bleach compartment is clean; you will need to remove the cap to see it. If that is clean, you may have a problem with the water coming to the dispenser. If the water isn’t coming in at all or not fast enough, the bleach compartment will not start a siphon to remove the water and bleach. The water valve may be bad or the dispenser may not be sending the water to the correct compartment.
I have a Samsung washing machine that wobbles from the top I was wondering what can I do about this how can I fix the solution for this problem it's a Verte General Electric

Must be easy on a brand new unit. Take apart a 10 year old one. He just pulls the tub out lol. Mine won't come out for the life of me.
at 4:58 what are them plastic parts called at each corner that have the rod going down through them?
Fantastic video, almost makes me want to repair them for a living!

My LG Smart drum washer is not draining like it should . I've replaced the motor but it's still not draining. Do you have any recommendations

Another excellent video!
Which impact drill are you using?
Any info on why the bleach dispenser has never worked from day one.
Mine is similar and the lid locks down when washing but I notice no conventional lid switch. in the event it doesn't spin and drain what to check?
can you please tell me what is the best topload washing mashine to buy 6kg ?
Great video! My LG top loader washer just started making a bearing type noise when it slows down from the spin cylce. Is it common for the clutch to make that noise when its starting to fail? Thanks
+Daniel Marino It sure could cause a noise issue.
I have same model washing machine now in display it is showing PE only no another datas is coming and also not in working
Great video with step by step instructions. Was able to work first time.
I'm going to purchase a washer like the one in the video from a private party. OK to lay it on it's back while transporting it if I do it carefully and am on smooth roads?
+Greg Weisman Laying it on its back won;t hurt. If it is a front loader will will need shipping bolts specific to the washer.

Same issue here, did you find a solution?
Having trouble removing the inner tub. Any suggestions?
+Edward Nicholson We had to use an impact wrench to get the tub nut off. You could try using WD40 first.
I have a Samsung and this video works for mine as well.
