Had a similar experience, and many of my friends had similar experiences as well: taking everything away, locking u individually in a room and scaring u until u offer to pay. And they even said “this money is not enough” . One of my friends (female chinese solo traveller) had to pay usd255 to be released. She offered 50 at first, guy said not ok, offered 100, still not ok, then the officers took her to the atm to take more money. Really glad that u made a video about it. I think more people have to know about this issue.

Dubai - allows 30-day entry and you can leave and come back in. I stayed 21 days then left and came back in and had my passport stamped for another 30 days. Then when I was leaving after the 2nd stay, I was told I had overstayed. I was told that because I didn't stay 28 days on the first trip, then my 21 days were added to the second 28 days, the total was 49 days and was then fined per day a total approx $400 cash (they happen to have an ATM next to the interrogation room)

Dubai - allows 30-day entry and you can leave and come back in. I stayed 21 days then left and came back in and had my passport stamped for another 30 days. Then when I was leaving after the 2nd stay, I was told I had overstayed.
