Love your book reviews Alyona! This one is a gem. I have it. Instructional and inspiring. A work of art in itself, which are the best kind of art books.
What a gorgeous book. It's both beautiful and instructional. I recently started plant-keeping and now I'm interested in drawing and painting the beautiful greenery, so this book's section on leaves will be helpful. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the great review! You are so right; most books have too little on leaves (so frustrating that I can paint flowers fairly well but not leaves). I'll probably get this book to help me paint leaves better.😀
Thank you Alyona!! What a wonderful review of a beautiful book. As I began watching I was telling myself I do not need yet another botanical art book as I already have quite a collection. But this looks like such a thorough, in depth, and well organized book it's like taking a course in botanical art. So of course it's going into my amazon cart!!
I love looking at botanical art, but the patience that goes into creating it is just something I do not have. I read a while back that just the drawing alone can take a week.
here it's kinda forbidden (there are always people that ignore rules) to walk in the forest and wonder of the path ways for the reason of erosion our footprints cause (bicycles even more) that is damaging the forest. there is in comparison not much nature left and cutting trees or plants also forbidden due most are under the flora fauna protection laws. when I saw these images in this book I was like 😱🥺. I am one of the view who is really living aware of things with everything I do and many people find it extreme but it's not going so well with our lovely planet so solly I kinda had to say it 🤗 🙈 hugs everyone 🤗 🙊 other than that, the books is full with beautiful painted flowers and plants.😊 Great source of inspiration. great video to review this book.👍🏻😊 👏🏻
This was a very thoughtful message! I'd say go to your backyard or a designated public garden and do it still life style. You can come back over days and study the subject without having to take a sample.
@@laurencashman6668 indeed or take a picture with a good camera and colour, matching reality, swatches at the scene and it's all you need 😊 thank you for sharing the thoughtfulness 😊 my comment has otherwise been ignored 🤭

To my eye, Kluglein's book is more practical in terms of teaching.
