Great program. I started the day as you recommended in an earlier video. Did everything, plus the cold shower. I am feeling fine, and ready to take on the day. At 74 years young, I can't wait to see you when I'm 100 years young. Thanks for the program. -Steve Bissell, elder and elected Peacemaker, Brothertown Indians of Wisconsin

Great video. As I listened I felt pretty satisfied that I was doing ok. I’ve been retired for 4 years now and after surviving the pandemic, Im ready to start some new things. I’m 69 now and I’m looking at using my corporate experience to join the leadership of a large organization. The new opportunity matches my passions and skills so I’m pretty energized about it!

Great video! We are three years from retirement. As it gets closer it becomes less of an abstract dream and the realities are starting to become more clear. The 5 ring concept is a great way to crystallize some of the things that my wife and I have begun wrestling with. We'll be fine financially but the lifestyle that makes that possible comes with cost: Personal identity, purpose, social network are 100% intertwined with work. That all consuming characteristic has become exhausting and rolling that intensity back is really attractive. But to be replaced with what??? Giving structure to this great unknown is super helpful!

Hi there! When you're nearing retirement, it's natural to start wrestling with questions about personal identity, purpose, and social connections when work is such a significant part of our lives. But retirement is an opportunity to explore new passions, hobbies, and experiences that may have taken a backseat during your working years. The key is to approach this next chapter with curiosity and an open mind. Who knows what exciting adventures await you? 🎉
If you have any more questions or need further guidance, feel free to reach out. Wishing you both a retirement filled with fulfillment, growth, and beautiful memories!

As a current retiree, feeling some degree of success with the 5 ring concept that you conveyed, I have to express that success in the health component seems to overlap the others to the extent that one automatically derives success in the other areas... ya know what I mean?

Hi Ronald, absolutely, and thank you for your insightful comment! 🌟
The beauty of the 5 ring concept is indeed how interconnected they all are. When you thrive in one area, it often spills over into the others (and vice versa).
So yes, being healthy can indeed ripple out to create success in other areas. It's like tossing a pebble into a pond - the ripples extend far beyond the initial splash.

There are plenty of women who have tremendous financial worries! It doesn't make any difference what your advisor says! Watch out for taxes, taxes and taxes and inflation!

Yes, taxes likely make up the largest expense in retirement. Thankfully the 4 other Rings of Retirement are focal points that finances can support, once the financial stress is solved. Thanks for watching Liz 🙏
