Been watching Charlie Watts videos for 3 days straight. Goddamnit I'm gonna miss him. I always wondered how long Keith and Mick would live but just assumed Charlie would live forever.
One thing you get from going on You Tube and looking at these interviews or reading about the all-time great musicians...so many of them are so damn articulate and intelligent.
The best of the bunch right here. Love what he said about being spoiled by the bread which allows him to not worry about the things most of us do. Humility in a Rock Star is always refreshing to see though very seldom found.
Would that all famous people had the integrity and decency of this down'-to-earth guy.. It is so refreshing. Not to mention how great a drummer he was and how much he contributed to the Rolling Stones. Richards acknowledges this often.
Great interview thanks. He gave a lot of pleasure through his drumming and seemed like a nice person but…well he said it..poor before the Stones but not afterwards, and he had a lifetime doing something he enjoyed for a good living. RS It’s a brand ain’t it grand. The devils are always charming. He attended BJ’s funeral and made sure not to loose any hopportunity to get in there and kick the corpse. Dear God please protect us from our friends. Goat’s Head Soup, the most sordid display of lp cover spite ever made. Let us look like we’ve drowned in piss. Lovely. If he’s gorn to same place as BJ i hope BJ gives him a damned good slap.
Watts (Perfect name for a drummer) was the man who kept The Stones somewhat grounded (if that was possible)..... I wished though he had bowed out gracefully like Wyman ,and not be part of the lame cabaret The Stones became...but then ,that's the loyalty he holds to Jagger & Richards, who he eventually owes for the great and well payed career he's made.
( Angstschluck)
@4:38 Good to hear I'm not the only one who digs Aynsley Dunbar, I believe the Jimi Hendrix Experience would have been better if he hadn't lost out to Mitch Mitchell on that coin toss
It's a shame, each generation rejects and diminishes, and yet creates it's own way. But it's a shame that the media tries to appeal to what pollsters tell them to do.
I'm a gen xer, thank god sho biz is pretty much over with,it is the epitome of wickedness and evil,a much deserved good bye to when the truth comes out,a horrific industry.
Your kidding ,the stones are still great today ,biggest tours and very popular around the world ,even in there old age 76 years olds they still sell out every stadium venue in every corner of the world ,incredible amazing band..
They're still very much relevant! Also about your comment on today's music industry -- I do agree that it has become a lot easier to gain fame and a lot harder to find genuine artists, but there is still a lot of talent nowadays! Just because they aren't well-known doesn't mean they don't exist. Keep an open mind :-)

From being a small child, I've always found this man to be infinitely cool. And as I get older, he's just evermore beautiful x
I can't imagine a world without Charlie Watts. Man that's going to be grim.
you were right
And you were right, it's hard that he's not with us anymore
"Do you really want to know this?" Brilliant! Charlie is just lovely.
" 'Cause I ain't gonna be brief." Hah!
ive always found charlie more intriguing than the rest of the boys
you were right, he is! he's a blend of total transparency and absolut secret, spontaneous and reflexive at the same time..
I agree. He's one of the quiet ones that make you curious about his nature and personality. He's a very humble guy as well. Big fan of Charles Watts.

RIP friend Thank you for keeping the heartbeat of the Stones. "I would love to be a painter"
rest in peace charlie. you will be greatly missed by many many people.
Charlie is even more handsome now which I find amazing !!!! He has certainly lived the rock star life but retained his looks and integrity.
I love him in this interview while he was in Australia

The “Wembley Whammer” Mr. Charlie Watts!
the coolest Stone

Legend
He's such a cool babe ❤
He such a Gemini
Charlie looks pretty rough here. I never pictured him punching Mick though. He just seems to mellow and calm mannered.
Most people that are mellow and calm do snap!
Like they always say.... watch out for the quiet ones
I can see him punching Mick! He's a drummer and the most physical one in the band. People can only take so much shit.
@@michaelward9880 Probably gave him a fat lip....
@@jonesy2111 HA! Good one!
Charlie rocks, he just said .."this whole things juvenile. .." hababa much love Charlie
I would go as far as to say the coolest human. Donald Holloway we are on the same page.
Truly and honestly he is
1941-2021 😢😢😢
I saw some of his movies and kept wondering why he looked so familiar..
RIP
Do you have a bill wyman interview?
He should ve been a politician He can talk a lot (when he has to) without actually saying anything
Time is running too fast
Was this during the 1973 Australian tour? Has to be before 1975 when he cut his hair off
Says in description box 1973.
Anyone know who the interviewer is? I can only see our ABC

He likes to play the drums...and loves the creative part of stage and artwork of the Stones organization.

Aynsley is great but Mitch added to the experiences great sound
Millenials could care less about rock 'n roll,or Chuck Berry riffs.

He is pissed
Crazy Horse no he's just Charlie.

The Wembley Whammer. The Godfather of anti grunge The incomparable Charles Watts RIP
The Stones are a baby boomer band, way over with, the were complicit in the death of Brian Jones, they're no longer relavent.
Charlie only has one child. Why comment such a thing on this video?
