  • In this week's episode, Savannah Chrisley reads from her Secret Diary with her good friend and producer, Erin Dugan. They delve into the challenges of living life in the public eye and the pressures that come with being a celebrity. They discuss their recent synchronicity in fashion choices and lifestyle decisions, as well as Savannah's transformative experience at an intensive therapy program called Onsite. Savannah shares valuable insights on identifying and understanding personal trauma, the destructive power of shame, and the importance of channeling emotions productively. The conversation also touches on the concept of spiritual bypassing, the loneliness that comes with resilience, and the significance of effective communication and self-attunement in building healthy relationships.

Please change the moniker of this episode. This might be your very BEST show yet. It’s helpful and healing. It makes me hope for more like this. Others that could benefit from it, might skip over it. I almost didn’t listen because I thought it would be about other things…. So glad I didn’t. You are wise well beyond your years. Thank you for sharing.

“When you live with trauma for so long, the fear of letting the trauma go is sometimes worse than the trauma itself”

I think this goes for any toxic behavior & really is broke down to the fear of change, even if it is for the best to leave it and move forward

I am in Al-Anon and in 12 step programs we learn to LET GO AND LET GOD. My disease is trying to control and figure everything out. I am such a codependent! I love Melody Beatties CO DEPENDENT NO MORE AND THE LANGUAGE OF LETTING GO. I was the oldest child, my dad died suddenly and i have also experienced trauma. AL-ANON recovery was the greatest gift i gave myself 5 years ago. I was the family fixer and i am learning that it's not up to me to make everything right. Great podcast!

I feel that trauma physical response completely. Once something triggers, the whole body goes into that flight or fight mode. For me, it happens very randomly. Its crazy

I usually put multiple comments!! So, I have to go ahead and say that thinking of you in a Pinto with no air conditioning!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
I’ve not experienced the pinto but my college roommate had an old Gremlin with no air conditioning!
Oh I’m loving this episode as I am still trying to heal from the trauma of chronic pain that not only ravaged my body but also my life. So, I’ve had physically therapy for the central nervous system. There are also important supplements. The Vegas nerve is also damaged but oddly enough the therapy for healing the Vagus nerve is actually very simple do self heal. When the Central nervous system goes haywire you can also end up with autoimmune disorders and if it goes on long enough autoimmune disease!!
Trauma is real and doesn’t disappear after the event. PTSD seems to be overused these days but it is VERY REAL !!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I think it’s important to note that clinical and situational depression is completely different. I view clinical depression is because a physical issue in your brain versus going through a hard time and being depressed.
