too much of this is reliable because of the popularity of the people and their institutions. That in itself does not deal with authentic information and sources. So a European at Oxford can write about Africa and be RS just because the standards are set by Europeans. While, an African source is of lower value, despite being authentic. Henry Louis Gates, despite being of African heritage and from Harvard is widely seen as unauthentic and not trustworthy.
