Those are probably gov over-runs. Ford still makes F series HD trucks that have zero emissions for the gov. John Deere still makes tractors with zero emissions for other countries as well. I have a new Ram Cummins and being forced to participate in DEF is the craziest thing. All the plastic containers and nozzles. The only way to change this is to pay attention to who you cast a vote for. Not being political, but it's important.

You got the hook up in Guatemala. Buy a new day cab with the biggest X15 you can get, book a load to the US, cross into TX unload, pull the motor, sell the truck back into MX, haul the motor to NY 😁. Or you can give in, buy new trucks with the X15, warranty gets close , trade em in, get new ones, deduct it all 🤷‍♂...I know you probably ran the numbers on that scenario, there's gotta be a reason large fleets operate like that.

It is not the same as diesel electric trains, the diesel is powered up full rpm to run the train not batteries like Edison is doing. Trains pull many more tons than a truck does. The reason GM built electric drive motors in trains was so the axles could be separate saving tons in gear and axle weight on the train.

@@flintcreektransport The new emissions standards take effect in 2027. The EPA has also mandated that manufacturers must provide a 450,000 mile warranty on the emissions system and the useful life of the truck is rated at 650,000 miles. Cummins and other engine manufacturers have been testing engines that meet the EPA 2027 for at least 2 years. When the EPA2010 rule came into effect most diesel manufacturers had zero experience with emissions systems. The main change with the EPA2027 rule is a further reduction of NOx. This isn't something that is totally new to manufacturers, all they have to do is figure out how to make existing scr technology more effective or efficient.

All these out of state companies and businesses need to stop kissing californias ass. California must honor legal compliance for out of state vehicles including CMV’s. They can not enforce their rules and regulations on your vehicle as long as it is compliant in your home state. Non permanent modifications or accessories is a different story such as rear detectors, but permanent features such as tint, exhaust etc are considered permanent and California has no jurisdiction to govern your vehicle that is registered in another state so as long as you yourself are not a resident of California.

Hi from France, we've had the Ad-blue thing here for years, all the trucks over here are electronically run,no more mechanical units. What i really don't understand what problems you are encountering.Don't get me wrong,i've also encountered problems mostly with the particul filter, with one truck they had to change the whole anti-pollution system. All these problems are fixed by the dealer and yep downtime is enormous. Then there is the quality of the Ad-blue....
    Love your chanel.

Emissions are definitely frustrating. We've had some family stuff going on this year that needs time off. The week before I have time off is when I want to go out and make money. Guess what? Wednesday sensor issue truck is in derate. Tough to keep customers happy and provide for your family with this crap the government wants hanging off the truck.

If I am correct you cannot buy a gen 2 signature crate engine anymore so the X15E3 fills this gap.

Newer X15s have been reliable in my experience. Fuel haulers that run them at 565/1850 love em. Them MF's pull, Company's permitted to 117K gross with overweight permit on a 12.5K gallon trailer. Rare we run that full gross but loaded with diesel she pulls hills and highway inclines without going too low in the gears. Ours are at around 300k with no motor issues whatsoever. Ran the ISX and those were always problematic.

I don't know how it works for large trucks, but It's understood hat the majority of a vehicle's emissions are produced during manufacture. I would like to see data on total emissions when trucks are junked with 700k miles on them instead of rebuilding. I think it's very possible more emissions are produced because of shortened lifespan of the trucks. I wonder how the Chevron ruling of Supreme Court affects EPA's authority to require emmissions equipment in the 1st place. Of couse it will take a lawsuit. They would never voluntarily relenquish power. The media would never tell people the logic that I presented, just that the world will end if trucks don't have the emissions equipment.

You need to use the MaxMileage Catalyst from Pittsburgh Power. It will eliminate most of the emissions problems and clean your engine of soot, since soot is the root cause of major issues. It is good for any gas or diesel engines, and cleans them so they run better.

I remember the rep saying the L9 alone $120,000 on it’s own at the time. We’re saving roughly $300,000 if not more. If we didn’t sign projected price was $1.2mil.

We sent C500's, X15 with SCR only to China, was weird to look at in a new truck. No egr cooler, bare on the right side of engine, looked like pre-emissions ISX. The export units you see there were likely ordered for a customer that cancelled them. Could be consignments from Paccint that are sitting on the lot, or the dealer got stuck with them if they ordered them, , maybe destination changed their rules and they couldn't be shipped. We had a C500 6x6 that was Ero 3, they chaneged to Euro 4 while it was being built, cust had paid for it though, took about 12-13 yrs to sell it, had some offers, cust rejected the offers. They could have stripped the engine out and used it for spares, cab trans, axles, susp was useable on 75 others that were already over there, they wouldn't do it.
