Amazing content Johnny. Really opened my eyes to fermentation with your videos. Keep it up dude!
what happen. was it closed with glue?
@@nanyabiznus4738 No, I saw the internet for the first time. I nailed my eyes shut
I used to make hot sauces for the company I work for and my favorite was by far the Habanero Lime Yellow Watermelon and Honey Dew.
If anyone is in Delaware maybe I'll make it again and you'll be able to try it 👌
Habanero, pineapple and a bit of ginger is absolutely amazing too
A level content right here! You are so underrated johnny. Love your content!!
Just a heads up for anyone, generally 1ml of water = 1g, so it's an easy conversion when making the salt brine.
You should honestly do a 1% salt for the total weight, including the peppers
That's literally the definition of a gram.
@@mattezuka1274 1% is risking botulism, which will kill you. 2.5% minimum. I use 3.5%. And yes, total weight, not just water weight.
@@humanicd yes well done for knowing that, if you already knew that you could've just ignored my comment. It wasn't for you.
1g of salt for every 1ml of water, got it
This sounds like something I'd see on Hot ones being a first or second sauce! Sounds really flavorful
That was just f’n perfect video to watch for me. Answered key questions.
Solemn thanks brother!
Currently waiting for my fermenting equipment to get here today. I was inspired by you and another YTer. Super excited to get creative with making my own sauces, vinegars, etc.
The way my heart breaks knowing I will never taste this
You can make your own.
That’s amazing! I’d never be able to try it tho, my guts hate spicy food unfortunately. BTW The new content from start to finish of the process is really satisfying to see. Keep it up and thanks!!
Try dissolving the spyciness in your mouth, not in your stomach (I'm not a native English speaker, I'm sorry)
@@JefeInquisidorGOW don’t be sorry you said it perfectly :)
You could definitely give this a shot with bell peppers and other flavorful aromatics. Sauce wouldn't end up spicy, but it would still be super delicious!
Or use very mild jalapeños as well.
Your content is exactly what I’ve needed in my life these days
And you managed to get me in on this whole fermentation adventure in one fell swoop.. well.. that and the mead.
I'm so happy I ran into your channel. So much quality content. Thank you! 🤝
Ur videos inspire me to try and make food
I wanna try this one
That's nice that you had your grandmother taste test to see what's needed. I usually or all the time do the same when I'm making something super hot, since my grandmother likes anything spicy. So in the end, it's good help and advice
대박!!! 🤤 So freaking cool!
I absolutely love your videos fermentation is so interesting
Reminds me of chutney
Hey, if you're heating the water only to dissolve the salt, you don't have to do it. Heat doesn't help salt dissolve almost at all :)
That sounds perfect 👍
Amazing!!! Thank you! 😊 love it! ❤️
Love your vids dude keep it up please 🙏
Looks good
that looks amazing. Imma try it
I just love how Grama got in there to help you improve the taste of the hot sauce.
How long can I expect to keep this before I have to use it up?
It all depends. If you can it properly (and use Xanthan gum), it can last for several years in your fridge. After opening, I usually try to have a bottle eaten within 6 months... which is always easily doable. Keep in mind though, if you don't add some Xanthan gum you are going to start seeing separation in your sauce after a bit of time passes and it's really not appetizing.
Looks amazing 🤩
Now I want to make a Turkish style with Turkish peppers, garlic, vigs and pomegranate
Anyone know where I can get a fermentation system like his?
YES!!! THE FAMILY TASTE TEST IS ESSENTIAL 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Can you talk about the green tea you put in there? Good stuf, looks amazing.
You are a gastronomical genius my friend 😁
How long might this sauce be good to consume like this? Could you share some of your great insights?
Or would you heat it up before filling it in a jar?
This is awesome
Your video 📹 presentation spectacular 👌 👏
Lol grandma was not impressed 😂
Where do you get the jars with the weights? I want to step up my fermenting but at the moment I'm just using repurposed big mayo jars
I might do something similar with habaneros, jalapeños, carrots, and garlic and them adding some chipotle, arbol, and mango to the blender after the ferment
WHere did you get those jars!
Lovely!
👏🏼
Can you Say "Bigger Bits Again plz sir😂😂 say it medium Fast tho. Ahh thats gold.. Luv your channel tho
Never thought of putting figs in a ferment, I usually do it 2% of dry weight and top off with boiled water
Just want to drink this
Thats amazing! Whats the shelf life if the sauce?
do you by chance have a full length video on easy fermented hot sauce??
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR for all of my curious girlies

Son won the golden boot in the premier league
Salah won the Golden Boot in the Premier League! He also won the Playmaker award for most assists. Allison won the Golden Glove. I don't know where your information is coming from, but it's erroneous. These awards were presented on the last day of the season. Son is a fine player! Perhaps, next year . . .
just a week lol
Did you peel the figs after fermentation?
If I can't find figs, What do you recommend to use?
Would you had done something different now that you have the finished product?
Do you recommend using milk in your air lock????
One question tho, how long will the sauce last? In the frige and outside
Why do korean guys look so good 😫
Do you have any of your home made hot sauces for sale.?
How long does it last?
Sell it. I’ll buy it.
I am GoD
You should bottle and sell this
Is that an ikea 365 pot?
If you can, you should really sell some of these stuff you make😗
Ok
Why was there milk in your gas exchange thing lol?
3 to 8 percent in TOTAL weight for lacto, else not safe
what's the heat rating...you forgot -.-
Sell them!!!!
Not spicy enough, might need to add some cayenne or thai chilis, 😂😂im a chili head cant help it
Seems like you know your shit.
No fruit.
You’re very attractive
You’re so fine
As a Mexican, I can very confidently say that I've seen family members do this entire process within 5 minutes
I can tell from the accent.....that this aint gonna be my type of hot sauce.
You should really invest in an induction burner. Gas stoves are bad for your lungs and the environment.
