That depends on the cab and what its ohm rating is. If the cab is 4,8, or 16 OHM MONO (it has to be MONO) then yes it will work fine with the Spider III 75 watt head.
@joeylama11695 run both 8 ohm speaker outs from the combo into both inputs of the cabinet and it will work fine however, please keep in mind that this will mute your internal speakers on your combo amp. If you're looking for a true stereo rig you'll need two 4x12 cabinets.
of curiosity how would you know if your aunt had been damaged from a mano connection? what do you have to get the amp add a certain level volume wise? great info. i'm using a spider iv hd150 through this old crate stereo cab. just out
Hi I like the video but I have a question, may I use the Spider III HD150, with a 16 ohm 2x12 cabinet, in "mono" connection? Most amps can also run what's called a "safe mismatch." That's where your cab is at a higher ohm rating than the amp is set to, so this shouldn't be a problem. I would like to know if the "safe mismatch" works also for Line 6 amps, Thanks
I have a question I'm hoping you might be able to help me with. I have a line 6 spider 3 head with stereo left and right 8 ohm jacks on the back. I want to connect it to a kmd 4x12 cabinet I have that is just labeled as 8 ohm/300 watts. I'm guessing the cab is mono as when I connect just one of the jacks on the cab to my orange cr120, all speakers are working. My question is with the line 6 being a stereo head, do i connect both jacks from the head to both jacks on the cabinet or should I just use a single cable and connect one side? And what if I wanna run 2 mono cabs making it a full stack? I'm a little confused as how to connect stereo heads with mono cabs. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

hey! i have a 15 watts line 6 amp, and im buying the cabinet only. without the top attachment. is it possible or would it work if i attach my smaller amp to the cabinet to play with that? would it work? iv done it with my 15 watts line6 amp to amps bigger than what i have and it works fine, but this is just a cabinet so i was wondering if i attach my smaller amp to the cabinet if it will work or if i defiantly need to buy the top attachment for it to be able to work? thanks!
I'm wondering if I should get the spider valve 412vs. It's only $700, and it has v30 speakers in it. Will it sound good going through a 6505+ peavey head? Also is thi standard for most cabs? Just wondering

If I was using my spider 4x12 stereo cabinet to a new head (say a Marshall jcm800) which has two outputs, since both sides of the cabinet are 8 ohms each, don't I set the JCM800 to 4 ohm which is the parallel value of the two 8 ohms I'm connecting to?
