@Zach H. no such thing as a sovereign citizen...a sovereign however is a different term.
Yep
I have lived in Portland my entire life and frequent the Boone's store regularly. There is crime and violence but if you mind your own business and keep your doors locked you'll be fine.
You know you’re in the hood when you visit your local Indy’s restaurant and they have bullet proof glass on that MFer !!
You know you’re Louisville AF when you don’t care and go anyways because Indy’s chicken is divine.
Oh wow, I haven't seen any of this since I moved back to Ga. Louisville, I can't believe it's been almost 11yrs since leaving here. I became a Cardinal Fan and I'll always be a Cardinal Fan.😁😁😁
Every time I stop here, every car has rims, everybody is rim up
This video is extremely eye opening. Thanks for posting it. I feel that it’s as educational as it is simple.
WOW! I've been living in Louisville area for over 41years and I've never been to that part of the city.
Don’t go near there either you might not make it out💀
@@mariah4201 thanks for your advice, Mariah. 😁
You're good James, don't start none, it won't be none
@@theoldschooldiva374 well said, peace ✌.
Lexington & Louisville ain't nothing to play wit especially in the summer time
Right? I'm from Lexington area and it's insane how much crime happens here anymore. Idc what people think or say, how "country" they think this state is, blah blah. You don't mess around in certain parts of these cities, especially at night when it's hot outside.
@@jeremiahallyn4603 coming from someone who doordashes all over lexington, it definitely hasn’t gotten any safer here within the past few years. worst experiences were having to deliver to winburn and places right off of east new circle. still and really grateful that i don’t live in louisville tho
@@tito6870 I wouldn't wanna be in the Georgetown St area or the areas around E. 5th, 6th and 7th St at certain times either. As you said, still better than Louisville tho lol.
Two Different Cites. They're not the same.
@ G mister i know that they are two different cities but it still dangerous
especially if you let your gaurd down or dont mind your business
lex town aint no push over city either just like louisville aint no push over city
lex town & the ville
are the two most dangerous cities in the ky
& thats facts
It’ll be year 2070 Louisville won’t change
This isn’t too hood. I lived in Algonquin and 16th. Shootings every now and then but not too bad.
Diversity is our strength.
I found it to be a rather refreshing change of pace the Louisville hoods are fairly well integrated with both black and white. Also impressed the hood streets of Louisville seem to be in much better shape than the other hoods I've seen on here. Bottom line, Louisville has the nicest looking and safest looking hoods of any of the large American cities I've seen so far on your channel.
Was going to comment this as well. Kansas City kinda has the same type of dynamic.
Yeah, and Nashville too
Most of the projects are torn down now but ride thru the west a lot of homes are boarded up. They are re-doing the city tho, mainly for more money from outsiders. Cleaning up and remodeling every thing around the stadiums and soon around Churchill
I’ve been living in Louisville since I was born can’t wait to get outta here
I lived there my whole life too. moved away from Louisville 4 years ago to Fort Lauderdale. Best decision I ever made, I will never go back to Louisville.
Come visit a "holler hood". All over eastern kentucky and west virginia
What's that??
Appalachia hoods holler is a term used in wv and eastern Kentucky
hollow noun A small, sheltered valley that usually but not necessarily has a watercourse. The term occurs often in place names, especially informal ones, as Hell's Holler (NC) and Piedy Holler (TN). [ DARE labels this pronunciation holler as “chiefly South, South Midland, especially Southern Appalachians, Ozarks”]
I lived in the northern part of wv holler is a popular term
interesting that you would bring that up. I was just visiting my people in West Virginia a few weeks ago and I came away comparing it to a "country ghetto." A lot of the problems are the same or similar. They're just more spread out in the country side.
Hope you're driving a reliable vehicle, & have a firearm close by. Too many murders happen in those areas you were driving thru.
Smh you aren’t gonna just get murdered for no reason.... I mean maybe carjacked but in that case I wouldn’t even pull a gun a cars not worth my life lol
Good footage like always Charlie Bo!!!
Modern America looks like a dystopian nightmare
A certain demographic will do that to an area everywhere they are founding this planet…
@ktrigg2 Doesn’t have anything to do with a “certain demographic” did you not watch the video 🤨
That's because it is
I live in Shivley, shootings are happening alllll around ky. I lost a daughter at 33yrs old to gun violence in 2019. Stay safe ky..
I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you're doing ok. ♡
I've lived here my whole life and Louisville definitely isn't what it used to be.
Sorry for your lost.
The worst memory in my life occurs in Louisville. Work for a pervert boss and walk around a dangerous neighborhood after 10 pm.
I do Uber Eats as a side job I be delivering down here a lot.. I used live a couple blocks over from here when I was a kid lol it’s hood asf and I keep a gun but I keep a gun anywhere in this city, these areas ain’t as bad as many make Em out to be. Like if u just minding your business and stay strapped, u be aight 🤷🏻♂️
Great video brother 👍 I have lived in eastern ky ( pike County) my entire life but have been to Louisville several times and been through this entire area. Same as where I live, really nice people. Just don't look for trouble and everything is fine. I've never had trouble with anyone there anyways
Watching the video it seems like a good place, people getting their groceries.. Empty empty
parking lots and empty sidewalks spell danger to me more.
He went to park hill and village west lmao🤣🤣 L1C4❤️

Portland is where most of Louisvilles low income white people live or from, so let's not think that that's all black neighborhoods are ghetto there are dangerou white neighborhoods and you just seen them.
He's old neighborhoods
@@lynshelby2070 Same being said about both Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. A lot of low income white neighborhoods in the PNW.
Me:*pauses video. Calls parents. "Hey mom dad i love you
Parents: "youre watching worst hoods at night huh"?
😅
I'm just thankful I grew up in a small town far away from Louisville in Kentucky.
I like the town im in, I would not be able to do Louisville
Lived in Louisville 10 years. That town is pretty safe and chill.
I don't think I would be a well-rounded, experienced, prepared or compassionate had I not grown up in this city. I have so many relatives that live in rural Kentucky and they always come across as sheltered, barely in touch with the communities and politics outside the clean bubble. I love our city and its people.
to be honest-- Louisville to me is such a small city it feels more like just a bunch of connected suburbs than an actual city like Chicago.
@@robynobrien744 nothing wrong with being sheltered..if you prefer these shithole, by all means stay in them.
Gas getting too expensive so i come here to zone out while driving 😅👌
Just gonna play 5 min of highway? 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ then proceeds to drive through impoverished neighborhoods... what was the point of this? Kentucky has poor areas in the inner city. It also has poor areas in Appalachia but you won't go up there exposing the economic deficiency in those white communities. Let me rephrase that... you SHOULDN'T go up there... cause u might not make it out.
This is the comment I love. Thank you for saying this!
@@tashaherron4456 thank you. I'm from Kentucky and I see poverty, drugs, prostitution, violent crime and lack of education in BOTH communities. Which means it is an economic issue NOT a race issue. If you gonna "roll through hoods" roll through ALL of them... don't just exploit our communities...
He need to go do a night drive down in eastern KY in breathitt and Harlan counties. That's where it could get interesting
fire in the hole?
He’ll go to any hood I bet he doesn’t seem scared. He just posted an O Block walk through
I grew up in mountains Eastern Kentucky around Hazard...trust me Louisville has already had over 110 murders this year and just early July, Places you are talking about probably have 10 maybe 15
Its probably worse there tbh those are sundown towns
@@leepridemore2162 yea I'm from breathitt an have fam in Harlan an hazard ect. Yea of course Louisville is going to have more murder an all that bs. But them hills ain't nothing to play with. Alot of murders go unnoticed and unheard of. And those eastern KY hills has a weird connection to alot of major cities. You don't go down there acting a fool because you will end up missing. 💯
Louisville, KY.. my hometown. Where the Breonna Taylor incident took place just last year. Hell of a time
This dude has covered like every major city’s ghetto. It’s actually impressive.
Gas stations are turnt in louisville..
I live in the burbs. I won't go down town even in the day time.
It's awesome seeing you drive through my city, Charlie. Born & raised in Louisville and I can't bring myself to move away for some reason. LOL Louisville is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It does have its bad areas (what city doesn't?) but I feel safe enough to go anywhere & am confident that I wouldn't be messed with or harrassed for no reason. We keep to ourselves for the most part and just wanna live life and not be bothered by nonsense. Have a great day, stay safe & take care everyone!

@@rikkistephenson1635 that's funny! I rarely see anything or anyone from KY, let alone Louisville, here on UA-cam so I did a double take when I saw the title. Lol

I swear it ain't that bad, although someone did get randomly shot two streets over from me not long ago. But I ain't moving lol

Why do they have to be told that roads are for vehicles to drive on, not for them to hold a conversation at.
What? It's all public spaces. People are well within their right to converse wherever they want. Have you been inconvenienced by conversations while you're driving through this area lately? I'm willing to be the answer is "No."
finally you show some love
Gay love for you
I like the Ville. Compare the Bemore? You can live in the ville. Baltimore, over 360 murder every year. I'll take Louisville any day.

It was left pretty much intact unlike Seattle and Portland. So kudos to the folks of Louisville. They maybe in the hood but they still showed love to their city
Born and raised in the West End.
Had a house in Alpha Gardens.
Alpha gardens was live back in the 90s growing up
This is nothing more but poverty if anything this shows that Louisville need to get it together. Saying it’s the worst hoods is just bs.

I was born and raised in louisville, moved away about 7 years ago. Sad to hear about all the increased crime.
Moved south of the city about 25 years ago. Okolona born and raised. Don't even recognize the area now. Roads are straight garbage and crime is rampant. It's like the city don't care about certain areas. But is it really all the city's fault? People have to help themselves too.
It was that way 30 years ago.
I moved from Louisville 36 years ago. Still go back every year. The Highlands is one of the greatest neighborhoods in the US imo..
You must not be from the Louisville because everyone who lives here knows Portland is not the worst area. You went to Village West still not even the worst area in Louisville, now Parkhill I give you some credit I wouldn’t even go there at night got to go there during the day because they still sleep.

The hood starts from 8th street all the way to 40th. id rather see something good about my city or see it get better not worse.
There's Hoods outside of that also. Shively, South End Taylor Blvd, Smoketown, Shelby Park, Germantown, Newburg

No
Is it just me or does every single car have blacked out windows? lol
We like our privacy lol
Tint is legal here
You can tint your windows real dark in Louisville. That, and it keeps crackheads from coming up and looking in your car. LOTS of car break ins there.
Probably the roughest speedway in the city
Louisville is very segregated without most people realizing
These videos are interesting and you get to see how other people live.
