Great video. I painted mine just shortly before this came out. I did a silver base with Wicked Gold over that. The candy was sprayed over gold thinking that was the process to create a more candy apple color. It's good to know the "official" process for the future.

Were most of these 2 parts 4050 1 part color payload (autoborne black & red/silver/gold)? It was a little unclear as first was mentioned 2-1 Color & 4050 and after a clarication of 2-1 4050 and color.
Little bit different mixture of these candy colors would make the perfect red for the mk46 I’m building, which has a bit more of a burgundy hue to it. Awesome video!!
What would you guys recommend for attempting Beskar color for a mandalorian helmet and armor? I see you guys have done Boba and Bo-Katan but I'm looking to try and do Din Djarin and im not sure where to start with the paints I have from you guys.

Hi, I know you guys said that Createx supplied the colors for Ironman (The movie). I have a "War Machine" print that I want to paint and was wondering if Createx also supplied the colors for his Armor suit, and if so could you please tell me the color numbers for those paints? TIA
Hello. Quicksilver can be applied direct to an unscuffed, 2k clear. Allow the clear to cure prior to paint. Cleaning can simply be done with a lint-free rag if clear surface is free of contamination, otherwise use a post-sanding, solvent-based degreaser such as PPG SX320. For ensure adequate adhesion, allow for extended dry / cure time of Quicksilver, which will also produce the most reflective finish. Thank you.
Victor, I have been using an iwata Eclipse HP-CS for about 3yrs now on my builds and it has been awesome. It does great with the whole Createx line - even the Candy 2o and is really easy to break down and clean.
This is incredible! I have a novice question. Building a Mark 4 for my son's halloween costume doing EVA foam instead of a 3D print (I know it won't look as seamless as a print would). Would this paint work on EVA foam primed with black plasti-dip? Excuse my ignorance, thanks!
Being that the candy2o dyes are not lightfast, what is the life expectancy of the color applied to this helmet? Will this last a lifetime if put on display away from direct sunlight or will it fade no matter what?
candy2o dyes are made for interior & exterior applications including automotive refinishing that receive direct exposure to light, however, candy2o dyes are not lightfast pigments and some color loss will occur over time. How long is indeterminant; a candy2o paintjob onto a helmet such as the Iron Man featured in this video will last a lifetime without any noticeable color loss. Thank you.
Loved this video! Currently working on a similar project and was experimenting with colors. Now I have the precise mixture! By the way, you utilized a 2:1 (4050:Candy mix) with the TH2 airbrush. The Candy2O TDS suggests a max ratio of 1:1. Would appreciate a little more insight regarding this.
candy2o mix ratios are subjective; the dyes are concentrate and need to be added to a carrier (4050), however the exact amount can vary. We generally recommend 1:1 airbrush, and 6 or 8:1 spray-gun. The TH@ is kinda in between mini-spray gun and airbrush. 1:1 is a bit too strong, but as this was a small area and Chris is a skilled painter, 4050 2:1 candy2o works well. For painters who may want a bit more "margin of error" in case of unwanted color-build, a mix ratio of 4050 4:1 candy2o could done, or greater such as 6:1. Thank you.

What adapter are you using for the TH2 for the PPS system? Trying to look for one for mine
The PPS fits into a TH1 cup as the adapter for the PPS to fit the TH2. Simple and it works well. Thank you.

No, we make paint. It’s not hard to make a fitting for the TH2 to accept a PPS 2.0 cup, use a TH1 cup and fit the PPS 2.0 Cup into it.
