Sorry, Ade, but Barry McGuigan has it right. In fact, by your reaction to Barry’s observation, you reveal an ignorance of what comprises an “elite” heavyweight. Perhaps that’s understandable because, if you base your judgement on Fury’s “undefeated” record, then it looks as if Fury could be elite. But the reality is different and McGuigan has a profound knowledge and experience in the game.
Apart from a ten-year reigning world champion, the forty-year-old Klitschko against whom Fury’s jab and run tactics scraped a points decision, but DUCKED the rematch, Fury has fought literally not a single top heavyweight.
One-trick pony Wilder fought numerous nobodies and multiple losers to build an undeserved reputation. Even so Fury found him quite a handful and was dropped several times in their three fights. Fury avoided AJ and Usyk for going on three years to fight easy-money average journeymen such as Whyte and Chisora several times instead.
The Sheikh pushed Fury into a corner by offering him such a big payday that he couldn’t be seen to turn it down (though he may yet pull out!).
So, we’ll all see how it turns out next month. But mark Barry’s words and think very hard before putting your money on the Fairground Ducker!
Well written, very true but you left out one true elite HW and that’s the last undisputed WHW in the Lion Lennox Lewis…. TF would not last three rounds with LL and many others in LL era….. it’s pathetic, a resume full of average HW’s….
Cool, then usyk gets beat off a none elite hw
@@howardoneill31has beat Ussyk yet?
Tyson Fury is an elite conman.
Very skilled boxer but far from a great.
To be great you have to prove it.
Usyk has already proven he's great. If Fury manages to beat him I'll have to give him credit. Its his first elite opponent (Wlad was an elite cheat that should've been dethroned years before).
Spot on mate , great comment .
MCGUIGAN IS SPOT ON NOTHING ELITE ABOUT FURY UNLESS HE ENTERS A PIE EATING CONTEST
😂😂😂
Mcguigan 100% agree FURY overrated not ELITE. USYK school's the mff
So what happens if fury beats usyk? Does that mean usyk isn't elite either? Be interested to know what your deluded mindsets come up with
@@Tommy-pz2ycBuster Douglas beat an elite heavyweight in Mike Tyson but it doesn’t make him elite does it? Flukes happen.
@johnwarrior7009 who did mike tyson beat to make him elite??
Tyson could be elite but he has to prove it. He did not beat anybody except a declining Klitschko in a boring hug and jab fest. And he was on PEDS then. Or on wild boar meat.
Well said. I can't stand him, but if he had wiped out the HW division, and consistently beaten the top guys I'd give him his dues and respect that despite not liking him. But the fact is he has done absolutely fuck all regarding defences and he'd never have been able to do the same to old Klitschko in that rematch hence the duck. Klitschko was wise to the movement by round 9 in first fight. Also he'd have to have come in clean with no Peds 😂
Yeah I personally don't think Fury did enough to beat Wlad, I mean what did he do? He moved alot missing alot and was very un coordinated at times, Klitschko didn't throw alot very low out put and didn't land alot but he did take centre of the ring was the one pressing, did land the better punches.
@@frankjaeger393 well yeah you are right I mean the old thinking is you really need to "beat" a champion to take their title. Whilst it certainly looked like Fury had the better of Wlad it didn't really look like a beating. Mind you some people will refer to it as a beating. Klitschko realised too late all he needed to do was pressure Fury and start swinging and push him back and suddenly he was less comfortable. I think Wlad thought Fury was some devastating puncher for most of the fight hence being wary and too respectful. It was an almost certainty he'd not have done the same thing had the rematch happened. Anyways history now and unfortunately it landed Fury in top spot despite failing dope tests and a retirement.
@@frankjaeger393fury definitely won
@@RabidGerry Yeah I think the cuts on Klitschko all due to head clashes visually made it look like that.
Round 5 example many think was a good round for Fury largely down to the visual of Wlad being cut by head clash but watch that round, Wlad clearly wins it.
Ade your opinion means near absolutely nothing at the best of times mate, your still playing catch up on your boxing knowledge to get your casual badge. Barry on the other hand is always worth a listen.
I couldn't agree with you more mate, he talks like hes the king of boxing knowledge
People really think nobody has tried to put it on Usyk before 🤦🏾♂️
Ade thinks it's that easy. Just be heavy and put it on him?
Lol we'll see...
Usyk struggled with Chisora and got KOd by DDD be it legal or not. But hes never fought a top elite giant heavyweights boxer!
@@user-xu4cz3xz1u does one exist?
@@user-xu4cz3xz1u Joshua, he's far more dangerous than fury, stronger faster, bigger puncher, usyk gonna prove you wrong😂
Fury struggled with Wallin, struggled with Cunningham & struggled with Ngannou 🤷🏾♂️
@@H3RU_X and got beat up in sparring by an amateur.
This is was happens when people tell the truth they try to debunk it and control the narrative.
An elite fighter doesn't get put down that many times in their career and especially by a novice.
The Emotional damage for you when Fury wins 😂😂
@@bigmatthews666 if Fury wins we'll have to eat our words.
If Fury loses, people like you might take their own lives.
That's emotional damage.
Was Lennox an elite HW ?
@tarmac1697 nah he was a great heavyweight not elite. Quite overrated.
He wouldn't have beaten a prime Tyson.
@@iffysd9864of course Lewis was elite you casual
Fury’s not elite,I believe Barry is correct,The heavyweight scene this past number of years is dung 💩
ADE IS THE KIND OF GUY THAT BELIEVES CONNER WAS ACTUALLY MUNCHING 50 EGGS A DAY................
Oh really
@@iffysd9864 ye pure company man say anything for the bag zero integrity
@acoustic-gymnastics is their anyone that works for a broadcaster that isn't a company man.... Ade doesn't really even hold back the way Dev sahni or Johnny nelson hold back.
Who's in mainstream media and not a "company man"?
Fury is a good heavyweight but he isnt elite lol
He's up there. Lineal champion and all that.
I'm a tough critic, but Fury is actually 1 win away from being considerably elite.
If he beats Usyk he's the best of his era, and this era is actually so stacked, plus recency bias it will make him an all time great. And people will likely call him the GOAT.
I just don't think he'll get that win because he's spent too long resting comfortably on a pack of lies.
There's A LOT riding on this fight. Fury must be quite nervous!
@@DirtyJamesUK styles make fights if he wins its a great name on he’s record but there are plenty fighters he just hasnt fought, he’s resume is paper thin!
This fury v usyk fight is all down to the refs and the judges and what happens after the 12 rounds, None of these fighters will ko each other It will be a chess match 100%.let the best man win.
Most likely be a draw to set up another mega money fight
Usyk gets robbed then if that plays out.
Fight Usyk, fight the new Joshua then we see where you are.
What is the 'new Joshua'
@@mikeh5656 the angry focused destroyer, the one Fury doesn't want to fight.
You casual, wallin an a MMA fighter now he's king Kong 🤣🤣🤣
@kin3249 Fury fought Wallin and an MMA fighter, and he looked like a Chimp.... So in comparison, Joshua does look like King Kong.
No, the world titles and what he did to Wallin and Nganou that Fury couldn't.
Casual
One look at Fury’s resume and you can see Mcguigan is spot on. AJ has had more World Tilte fights than Fury. AJ and Fury have 5 fighters in common, AJ knocked all those fighters out, Fury only stopped White and went life/death with Wallin😂
That means a lot more if usyk wins but if fury wins and beats the guy that beat Joshua twice , well it means little
@@camwells9726 Styles make fights. Fury may beat Usyk, I doubt it, but AJ might beat Fury if they fought. Ruiz Jr beat AJ. Parker beat Ruiz and AJ beat Parker. Boxing is not linear, that’s why we want all the top fighters to fight each other, to see how they cope with different styles.
@@chuxx7335 yeah I’m aware of that , I’m in my 60s And grew up watching the best heavyweight era of all time in the 70s
@@camwells9726 Your post suggests otherwise, or maybe it slipped your mind when you stated it. Being in your 60s doesn’t mean you know everything, you’re not much older than I am, and I would never imply I’m wiser than someone younger.
@@chuxx7335 wow bit paranoid are we ? , I was referring to your point of styles make fights , where they all fought each other with mixed results
Some great points from Ade. A smaller genius will always beat a good big’un 👍
Fury still riding that Vlad win all those years ago
He’s not elite
I don't think Fury is as confident as you think he is. Remember he is bi-polar so you must take what he says with a pinch of salt. I personally think Fury is on the decline.
When I first heard i thought no thats not right but thinking about it and looking at who he's fought in terms of consistency no. Hes a good mover for a man of his size but problem is he hasn't faced anybody with the attributes that can really trouble him wilder had 1 that was it but didn't have the tools to keep him down with sustained attacks not like a aj or maybe even a usyk
Tyson Fury is elite , he'll eat anything .🤣🤣
And that’s the honest truth like it or not 😢 the guy is the biggest fraud in boxing history
Tyson is not elite. His resume demonstrates that…
Tyson, fury is not really a good boxer The only thing his depends on. his is size to come in and lean on his appointment and hope he get a lucky shot in and it worked for him. But he's not really a good boxer. I don't consider him as a good boxer Alexander is going to school him
Name another heavyweight that could fight Southpaw aswell as orthodox. The skill to be able to move your upper body and feet in both is elite level.
I picked Fury to beat Klit but I'm picking Usyk to beat him
Fury ain't fully focused on this fight...man said he could drink some pints on beer and still fight Usyk and you think that man was serious! 😄 what happened when he told that jokes with Ngannou he got shocked...
We'll see 👀
I promise you guys come back to these comments when it’s all said and done Tyson will prevail BIG GK 💯🇬🇧👑
They will go missing pal and say Usyk was old and too small 😂😂
@@bigmatthews666 what, like Fury said, you mean?
Until someone beats him every opinion is null n void. Same goes with Usyk
Mcguigan is a dope
Show some respect, he is a God father in boxing.
@@Panther-plus a con man on the side....
McGuigan is bang on, good on him 👍
So TF is elite HW in a very weak era…..!? Now Lennox Lewis is an elite HW in a very aggressive era….. TF would not last three rounds with LL ….. fact…..
I remembered Mcguigan hating on Fury before Klitschko and before Wilder fight, dont no whats gone off over the years but hes a very bitter nasty old man!
Look at you liking your own comments lol. Bless
Ade Oladipo is such a hater
If Tyson Fury isn't elite, what heavyweight is?
In this generation? Not much. Yeah sure this era is
evenly & interestingly matched so it's stacked with competition but all time elites ha if there is it's not fury.
Barry still annoyed at anybody connected to mtk global i see
Barry is right but thats not a dig and no great shame, Fury is world class and very accomplished that takes some doing. The group of elite heavyweights we seen are very few and far between.
These UK ex fighters hate Fury because he’s had the career that they could only dream they would have had. In recent years name a uk fighter who has won and held as many titles as Fury. Both titles won on the road against long running champions who were ranked no1 in the world at the time.
fury will still come in at 18 stone, look at wilder 2 and you see in that he was lower in weight but still big.think he will do the same in this fight,he will go after usyk to knock him out,he will not do what aj did,we shall just have wait and see.
Who as usyk beat tony bellew and Joshua not really top names wilder and Klitschko are better names
The fury Haters are going to be fuming when he beats Usyk 😂 cant wait
Everyone I see putting up comments none of you's have a clue about boxing when you think usyk is beating usyk 😂😂 fury is hurting usyk
Yeah just a little matter of Fury actually getting in the ring with Usyk first. I'll believe it when it happens.
@@mikeypc3592 why would you be so childish with Ur comments I believe it when I see it, was your comment worth getting back to me because I don't think it was🤣 you know and everyone knows the fight is on the 18th and usyk is getting hurt now get back to me on this comment after the fight
