Whyte needs to really stop this. I like him, I hoped he would win, but he got outclassed and knocked out. The push had no effect on the outcome of the fight. Ive seen the KO from multiple angles and his head doesn’t even hit the canvas. He needs to come out and take it all back for his own sake or he will forever be known as an excuse maker like Wilder. I hope this is just him being a bit reactionary and trying to deal with a bad loss, if he doesn’t then I think people will turn away from him. So I hope he sets the record straight for his own sake. Come on Dill do the right thing.
Really disappointed in him with this.. it was a push but he’s lucky he pushed him and didn’t hit him with another big punch as would have been horrible
A push off is perfectly legal as well. Dillian knows this. Whyte fell into him after the knockout blow, Fury instinctively pushed him away to create distance for follow up shots, not realising Whyte was already out on his feet. It’s perfectly legal to push your opponent away from you, Whytes done this many times. Fury just didn’t realise Whyte was out on his feet at that point.

Anybody complaining about the “push” hasn’t seen George foreman fight. He used to use the same open glove tactics to push, manipulate & manoeuvre his opponents all the time. Dillian is somewhat of a boxing historian. He should know that fighters have been using these tactics from the early days of boxing better than anybody. Especially in the heavyweight division.
If the ref did not stop the fight, whyte would of been eating his food through a straw for the rest of his life. The only close thing in that fight was fury’s right hand and whytes chin.
3:22 Fury landed 76 punches in 6 rounds according to compubox. That is not low volume at all. Shyte landed a measly 29 punches for comparison. He was badly outclassed.
So is mr whyte insinuating that the actual uppercut punch 🥊 ...had absolutely nothing to do with him being rendered comatose ... & that in his defence it was actually the play ground push that costed him the fight...🙄
Yes,Hatman" I even thought that Fury tried to save Whyte from being hit by a few more punches. When Fury in his last fight with Wilder was seriously hurt and was on his way to go down, Wilder threw two more punches but missed, but could have pushed him softly in the direction Fury was about to fall. Fury has showed mercy before in his career. In his second fight with Chisora he even appealed to the referee to stop the fight.
As you say, his remarks aren't that surprising given his past comments. He also questioned the Povetkin stoppage in the 1st fight, insisting he was not knocked out but was merely knocked down and should have been given the full count.
The man lost EVERY single round, Dilian deal with it man, your never going to be world champion, you have reached your level, enjoy your millions buddy
When I was younger I had a friend who got a shot for the WBO title in his weightclass. He was 24-0, had dreamt all his life about that titleshot. It was over in about 1 min, he was hit on the top/back of the head, lost his equalibrium and ref stepped in. He may have lost on an illegal punch, but no one cares in boxing and we all know that. Life is unfair sometimes, but complaining won't give you your redemption. It will just ruin your legacy.
Hmm how long has Whyte been boxing for and he doesn’t even know the rules? You’re allowed to push with the gloves, just not with the forearm. He’s done it multiple times in his career against Parker was one. Lewis did it to Tyson as you said in this video. Klitschko did it to Pulev. I can name numerous fights this exact thing has happened. Whyte was out on his feet, a slight breeze would have sent him down. I think Fury would have happily obliged with follow up punches if he’d had stayed on his feet. The fact he didn’t even try and protect himself from falling tells us everything we need to know. He was out cold. And his head didn’t even hit the floor. He fell on his bum. Not his head. Just a lame excuse.
Why are you getting so excited? Dillian was totally outclassed then taken out at will. When has there ever been a clearer victory or more dominant fighter recently?
Theres a serious disconnect between people who cling to the rules and the reality of two men having a fistfight. If someone gets hit with a big shot and tried to clinch but gets pushed off its a normal reaction. Ppl pretend andrenaline fueled men who get punched in the head for a living are master tacticians that can freeze time and plan out every move instead of men acting and reacting like men in a fight.
Great video as ever. I actually see the delusion aspect as being worse when it comes to the performance rather than the KO. Don't get me wrong, I too don't think the damage came from his head hitting the canvas, but rather from the uppercut. But if he genuinely believes that he was lucid after the uppercut but then not after hitting the canvas, then I can understand why he would say it. But that moment aside, Whyte was so poor. It wasn't competitive at all and while optimism is a good thing, being deluded is not. You have to have a grasp of reality in order to identify the errors, in order to rectify them. I don't see him being anywhere near the Wilder level of delusion, but to me it's worse for him to assume he was competitive - even if it was low volume - compared to thinking he was hurt being the impact of hitting the canvas rather than the punch itself
Judging by Dillians comments, his brain is still scrambled so the ref could have given him 24 hours to recover and he'd still have stopped the fight. You lost, got schooled and slept - take it like a man.
You're as usual absolutely right about Dillian, but I don't think he personally can take it like that after have been waiting soo long to finally prove himself with his shot in the ring.
It's a non story. Whyte didn't hit his head as he is claiming. Anyone can go watch the knockdown again. Whyte was semi conscious as he went down and so had enough there to keep his neck and jaw tensed so as to avoid the head bounce. His shoulder and arm broke the fall where his head came to a soft stop. What needs to be investigated is how that Mexican judge had Whyte two rounds up going into the 4th
The push saved Dillian. It was either that or get hit with clean punches by a 19 stone man when he was out on his feet...And i wanted Dillian to win by the way. But he lost to the best heavyweight on the planet and there's no shame in that
Well I agree with you apart from the best heavyweight on the planet that is a bold claim I'm a huge fan of fury watched all his fights bit since his comeback he's beaten wilder 3 times and whyte 2 men in 4 yrs sorry like I said I'm a huge fan of fury like all the work he's done for mental health awareness etc but I can't call him the greatest as like I said he's beaten 1 man 3 times and an average whyte so that doesn't in way suggest he's the best on the planet. The sad thing about fury is he's now got mayweather mindset that the 0 means more than life itself if he carries on beats usyk and aj then I will agree he's the greatest of this era but to be a great you have to beat everyone else and I'm sorry beating 2 people in 4yrs isn't good enough. That would be like me saying nico rosberg was the greatest f1 driver ever..Well he won the title and retired give fury some credit though he's had 2 title defences his whole career best heavyweight yes he probably is has he done enough to prove it no nowhere near
I noticed two things: 1st: John Fury never mentioned a word about sugarhill after the match. He says thinks like 'I told my son to combine cronk with other elements and see it worked out!' This confirms his ego problems against coaches who train his son. 2nd: as Hatman always say, fury is a very calculating man. He doesn't fight anyone anytime. So why would he say he surely gonna retire given the fact that he could go undefeated undisputed into history? My answer: he is waiting for the result of usyk vs joshua rematch. Tyson believes that one of them is a serious risk, whereas the other one is a winnable fight and he isn't sure if he wants to risk a fight against the serious risk.
Hi Hatman, I agree. Yes a push is illegal, but so too is using the elbows . There are things which happen in a boxing ring which shouldn't. The ref did a good job trying to keep the fight clean. What should he have done to Fury for the push? Warn him just like he warned Dillian for use of the elbows. Net result, Dillian still hits the canvas and can't continue. Remember the last instruction given to both fighters? Defend yourself at all times.
The thing is a push off isn’t illegal. As I just said further down, Fury pushed him away to create the distance to land follow up shots, not realising that Whyte was already out on his feet. If Whyte had stayed on his feet Fury would have continued the assault, which would have ended much worse. Whyte should be thanking his lucky stars he went down like that from the push off, and not a continuous barrage of follow up punches.
Dillian should take his money and ride off into the sunset. He has done very well for somebody with a very limited skillset. His is a rare success story, managing to make millions from professional sport. However, if this was football ,Dillian would be plying his trade as a journeyman in League 2 while Tyson would be a Premiership regular.
Classic way a boxer processes a loss. At the moment the only 2 other people (in the ring) are at fault. Eventually Whyte will move onto acceptance, it is what he experiences along the way and how long it takes him to get there that shapes him as a boxer and a man and then shapes his future.
Professional boxers bend the rules all the time. Clever timed pushes are hard to penalize by the ref, so boxers use this technique often. Dillian is a pro and of course he knows this. It's part of the game.
In the slow motion replay you can see it was a pretty strong push. I think it contributed to the stoppage but I doubt Whyte could have recovered from the uppercut and survive.
Not the point. The reality is there was an illegal push and the referee should have gave him time to recover - just like when a fighter receives a low blow and they touch down on the canvas
*Dillian did NOT hit head on the canvas, and Dillian was losing 6-0.* His head didn’t even touch the canvas, and If it did, it touched not hit the canvas AFTER his body had stopped moving from the momentum of the fall.

He pushed (more like gently nudged) instead of clocking him another couple of times like wilder or aj would have done
A lack of class Dillon needs to be humble and accept he was outclassed.
It is illegal to push a fighter on the floor, known by all boxing fans. Whyte maybe crazy but still correct
absolutely. he is simply stating a fact.
A pound for each time Hatman mentions Lennox Lewis
You mean Le-knox Lewis?

Anybody complaining about the “push” hasn’t seen George foreman fight. He used to use the same open glove tactics to push, manipulate & manoeuvre his opponents all the time. Dillian is somewhat of a boxing historian. He should know that fighters have been using these tactics from the early days of boxing better than anybody. Especially in the heavyweight division.
Dillian attended the Deontay Wilder school of excuses.
I'm gonna start calling me him deontay Whyte
Good post ! Always on the money hatman
As you say, his remarks aren't that surprising given his past comments. He also questioned the Povetkin stoppage in the 1st fight, insisting he was not knocked out but was merely knocked down and should have been given the full count.
Whyte didn't have the tools end of Wilder would have smashed him in round 1
And your friend was?

In all walks of life, a person needs to stay positive however when that positive energy becomes delusion then a reality check is needed

@@kengriffin8639 huh?
Fact is whyte was getting tired breathing heavily and becoming more vulnerable…I have no interest in seeing a rematch
If he followed the uppercut with a left hook we would’ve never seen Whyte again looool
I lose respect for this man every day… it’s sad.
You know it's bad when Eddie Hearn is the only one in Ur team telling you that you got way beat and I bet Whyte sacks him like he did with Tibbs!
Bang on as usual sir!
Judging by Dillians comments, his brain is still scrambled so the ref could have given him 24 hours to recover and he'd still have stopped the fight. You lost, got schooled and slept - take it like a man.
I watched the interview and his brain definitely looked scrambled, was slurring and stuttering all over the place.
You're as usual absolutely right about Dillian, but I don't think he personally can take it like that after have been waiting soo long to finally prove himself with his shot in the ring.
Take the loss and stop making excuses Dillian! You fell short in all areas!! Fury is the king 🤴
I agree with all your points.
Great analysis.
I would never of thought Whyte would be like this at all doing a Wilder WTF.
I noticed two things:
1st: John Fury never mentioned a word about sugarhill after the match.
Yes a push is illegal, but so too is using the elbows
I really feel dillians gone backwards since leaving tibbs..
Whyte should fight Wilder, will prove most casuals wrong when Wilder batters the guy!
Whyte v Chisora 3 for a final payday sure sky would jump it they be both on a % off ppv buys they would both hype the hell out of it
_"The push was illegal"_
OK.....What about the elbow you threw and hitting after the break, though???
Classic way a boxer processes a loss. At the moment the only 2 other people (in the ring) are at fault. Eventually Whyte will move onto acceptance, it is what he experiences along the way and how long it takes him to get there that shapes him as a boxer and a man and then shapes his future.
Professional boxers bend the rules all the time. Clever timed pushes are hard to penalize by the ref, so boxers use this technique often. Dillian is a pro and of course he knows this. It's part of the game.
What a cry baby it was clean and he is one to talk since he was fighting dirty in the fight
In the slow motion replay you can see it was a pretty strong push. I think it contributed to the stoppage but I doubt Whyte could have recovered from the uppercut and survive.
good video from hatman about perception bias and resiliency ..you should do more videos about boxing psych not pro matchroom videos
It was either push him down or follow up with a left hook... Fury actually saved dillian from further injury..
He's been negative from promo to fight night he's stock has deffo dropped, fury won every round then knocked him out he was doing the skanky leg ffs 😂
