You are so kind. Thank you for what you share so generously, Rick. 🙏
Thank you, Rick, from Brazil. This moments are so important to me❤
Dr Rick, your presence alone speak your message without words. It looks as if you embody the words that communicate without words. Thank you for your generous wisdom.
Yes! Mr Rogers! Same calming reassuring effect. And style ❤
I have listened to a couple of Rick Hanson talks by now. Some of them might wash over at times, but I can find some kind of insight in most of them. However, I think that this might be one that resonated most with me. If anyone who is beginning their practice would come to me for a recommendation, I'd recommend listening to this talk at least once.
The craving which is the major source of suffering, as Rick talks about again and again, can be reduced once one begins to rest in one's beautiful qualities. Without this basis, it is very hard to escape chasing the distractions present in the world today and stay mindful.
What exercises can we use to rid hurtful comments from others in the moment? They linger and keep brewing. Thank you for your expertise and help.
This video made me think of Jonice Webb’s UA-cam video, “What is Childhood Emotional Neglect.” Childhood Emotional Neglect, she said, is “a parent’s failure to respond enough to a child’s emotional needs… it’s not something a parent does to a child. Instead, it’s something a parent fails to do for a child. Because it’s not something that happens, but something that fails to happen, our brains don’t record it and our eyes don’t see it. So it goes unseen and unremembered, while it does it’s silent damage to people’s lives.”
Thank you Rick! I really enjoyed listening to your message as I was out walking. It brought a sense of presence to me, while my mind was running in circles, and then came to peace. 🙏🏻
I am noticing a slower, more pensive delivery which I am appreciating. It allows for things to be received and processed more easily than a rapid clip.
What if the qualities are related to violence?
