ok Tom, I always give a thumbs up because you my friend have more information than anyone I have ever not met, very informative and entertaining. I am amazed at the jobs you once had and gave them up to follow your true dream, I know you will be successful because you have passion, good luck Tom!!!
I appreciate all of the history of NY! I am a native New Yorker and never knew this stuff. It also didn't help that I've been ignorant for most of my life lol. Love the content and you seem like a cool human :)
I've only been a guest in New York City but I fly in often. I am new to your channel Tom but you do a hell of a great job explaining things to outsiders like me, who dont know a ton of NYC history. Subscribed!
I'm from the LES NYC Just discovered your channel today, watched several of your videos I'm hooked and subscribed and shared your vids with a fe W of my friends, Keep up the great work
I'M BORN N RAISED IN CINCINNATI OHIO I GRADUATED IN 82 N HAVE 1 YEAR COLLEGE. I'M TURNING 58 IN 2 WEEKS N HAVE NEVER BEEN TOO NYC BUT HAVE LEARNED MORE ABOUT IT THRU YOUR VIDEOS THAN I HAVE ANYWHERE. YOU'RE GOOD.
comedian and youtuber called "Pandji pragiwaksono" told me that i have to watch your videos to learn about history of new york city so i am your new subscriber now 😊
Thanks for what you do. Heading to nyc in mid-December, so I’ve watched several. I’m a history buff, so I appreciate that perspective. I enjoy the humor as well
Dude you might be the most humble guy ever. My partner and I binge watch you when we want to chill. We need more content! And yes, we like all the videos and do subscribe. Thanks for bringing us info and being cool AF. I laugh when u do the sneak look.
I remember St Paul's Chapel from going to the viewing platform in January 2002. There wasn't any debris in the area, a few surrounding buildings were in the process of being cleaned off. But the cemetery still had pieces of the building around the tombstones and the lights had inches of dust in the bottom.
The iron bar in the rock intrigues me. Was it a situation that John Randall pointed and told poor Shamus to get busy and chisel a hole in that rock? He then took the rest of his team to survey the grid and find Shamus some more work. Poor Shamus, no plaque no kudos but a great story! Thanx Tom.
I learned a lot of NYC history!! Thanks Tom you are a walking encyclopedia 😉🤪🥰 please do more!! I’m hungry for knowledge but only from you because there’s always a hint of comedy!♥️✨⭐️
I always wondered what the spikes in the rocks were in Central Park. This video also had a lot of side shots: Pigeon feeding, black and white cookie, wedding photos, birds bathing. Very nice touch - other things to see in NYC.
Hey Mr. Delgado! Jose, from Puerto Rico. ¿Como te va mi pana? How's it going, man? Good to see you. Wonderful video. You're one of the best out there, my buddy, in what you do. Always a pleasure watching your videos.
I loved it when you fed the pigeons. I was feeding them too where I live until a neighbor complained. It took a lot of my joy away when I had to stop feeding them. Code enforcement told me they were "flying rats." How unenlightened and dismissive of the beautiful creatures. People need to read about the bravery of Cher Ami on Wikipedia, then try and tell me her descendants don't deserve to be fed. Kudos to you for feeding the pigeons:-)
It's nice that you do these type of videos, because our history books "would never" have in them. I love your videos, besides I get some eye candy as well.....lol
I looks your videos my bro. They are informative and you have great comedic attitude! It wins the viewers over. 🎉 really enjoy when you give your slick plugs! It makes you want to check the other videos out! Reminds me of how lil Wayne used to make songs on his mixtapes and then would grab a cool punchline from it and make it a whole new song. Let’s go bro! Let’s get some more videos!
But British pastries are amazing. Can't be great at everything right? Thanks for these videos. Lived in NY for 30 years, I'm a Florida girl now...miss NY.
I love your videos Tom, I'm so glad you keep making them. Regarding the Matrix movies, I highly recommend you check out the channel "Matrix Explained" if you haven't. I didn't understand more than 5% of what actually happened before watching their explanations, and I'm also a programmer. Interestingly, I didn't enjoy the last movie as much but mostly because I enjoy watching their analysis and speculations way more than any of the actual movies themselves.
That last museum was also the site of the original fort the dutch built when they first founded Neu Amsterdam. I took a year of the history and literature of NYC.
Feeding a pigeon, how GROSS!! Otherwise, good information from a seasoned New Yorker. My heartfelt condolences to your friend, the great voice coach, Barbara , who lost her life recently having been shoved to pavement by a deranged woman in Chelsea. Keep up your labor of love.
I'm strangely somewhat disappointed that no one walked in front of the camera this time...you guys are getting respect now.
I know . lots of respect right !
Not one "get a haircut you hippie !"
My favorite you tube notification is a new Tom D video notification!!!

My husband and I watch his tours and my husband who grew up in Jackson Heights says " I never fucking knew that!" Haha
Are you certain he's human?

Tell me more about this Statue of Liberty thing. When did this happen?
4:33 is that a ram's horn or are you just happy to see the new Matrix movie?
The small comedic reliefs are the best 😂
Have you done any tours that feature the gilded age mansions, thats featured in HBOs The Gilded Age?

He wasnt letting her touch him at all, it seems; her beak would have been all. I thought it a cool and quaint little thing. :)
Great history thanks ! Tom do you realize kids today are NOT taught this history in public schools? What does that mean?
