The Neil Morrisey impression was spot-on! BTW you may not recognise the name Neil Morrisey but you may recognise his voice since he was the voice of Bob The Builder.
He needs to watch Men Behaving Badly. I'm surprised he hasn't already.
Ya, I'm not sure how well the singer Morrissey went down in the States, whereas, I suspect everyone here thought he was going to read from his autobiography.
@@SimonRobertElder Wrong Morrissey.
@@SimonNemeth he pointed out that the curve ball was everyone thought it was gonna be the gay vegan morrisey
There's no way they had bob the builder in America. JLO aside they have standards
Peter totally nailed his impression of Neil morrisey! You’ll see if you watch Men Behaving Badly, another classic British 90s sitcom
Man I just love that ”none of your business” joke and how Jimmy gives it a bit of extra juice. Never gets old.
It was about time somone said it Jimmy always asks the guests personal questions at that point in the show.
The guy in Dictionary Corner is Peter Serafinowicz. I saw his live tour this summer, titled Brian Butterfield: The Call of No. It was structured like a business advice seminar, it was brilliant. His deadpan delivery really pays off with that character.
10 out of 10 for the Neil Morrissey impersonation….👍
The impression of Neil morrissey is 11 out of ten
Danny Dyer is one of those chaps you imagine would drag an attack dog into a library & repeatedly tell it to "Shut It!"
Same with his wife!
Neil Morrisey impression: 10/10.
neil morrisey impersination is bang on 10/10 "Men behaving badly" has more than enough to keep you reacting for several episodes :)
Neil Morrissey impersonation was spot on. He's an actor who rose to fame with TV series Boon and sit-com Men Behaving Badly, also known as the voice of Bob The Builder kids cartoon.
I'd give him a 10/10 for his impersonation.
Danny Dyer first starred in Human Traffic. A film well worth watching and pretty accurate to how a lot of our weekend were back then :)
His breakthrough role sure, but he'd been on tv for 6-7 years before that.
Fucking spot on Neil Morrissey impression. First class.
9:00 Tim Key was in Taskmaster and Series 9 of Peep Show
And Sidekick Simon on Alan Partridge's Mid Morning Matters
Apparently Tim Key comes up with alot of the tasks on taskmaster alongside Alex Horne.
The joke about the "Morrissey autobiography" was that Morrissey, the lead singer of the Smiths (now with a somewhat tarnished reputation as a supporter of far-right politics), had recently released his autobiography and it was being lauded left and right in the press as being very well-written and important in the history of one of the greatest UK bands ever. When Peter Serafinowicz introduced it, people were expecting the autobiography of Morrissey the singer, but instead he pulled out the autobiography of Neil Morrissey, a much less serious person, comedy actor, and he absolutely nails the impression.
Not that Morrisseys reputation was entirely stirling before, but I agree he managed to delve to new depths over the years.
And I'll add to this if I may - Peter does an amazing impression of Morrissey and started reading/singing his actual autobiography to the music of The Smiths. He stopped at page 2, but it's eerie how spot on it is. It's on Peter's official channel.
He's not far right at all. People just use that ridiculous label towards anyone who speaks facts or common sense these days.
"(now with a somewhat tarnished reputation as a supporter of far-right politics)" in your very biased opinion but not many other peoples. Give your head a shake, and learn what "far right" means. Words matter. Choose yours more intelligently.
@@applecorp As someone who hates Morrisey's politics and thinks he mostly speaks bollocks, I have to agree that putting a "far right" label on anyone who has alternative politics to the left, is a stupidly regressive way of going about things. There's plenty of examples of extreme "far right" politics throughout history (the most notable one coming from Austria), which aren't even close to applicable to Morrisey's views. The same goes for anyone who uses the label "far left".
Tim Key is absolutely a published poet ❤
Love the subversion of expecting Steven Morrissey from The Smiths and ending up with Neil Morrissey from Men Behaving Badly; the impression was on point.
14:51- it's a good impression. Neil Morissey was an actor in the 90's who was most famous for the TV show Men Behaving Badly. Then went on to be the voice of Bob The Builder. I like Peter's joke more that you expect it to be a book about the singer Morrisey, from The Smiths (controversial figure).
Peter has voiced the new line of Terry Pratchett audio books and he is amazing.
Ten out of ten on the Neil Morrissey impression.
My feeling is that it's hard for you to produce shows with that kind of banter and a relaxed atmosphere, because of the main difference between UK and US humour: In the UK, a lot of humour is humble and self-deprecating, and may involve "punching up", whereas in the US it's the exact opposite; the 'funny-man' is usually grandstanding, "punching down", and laughing at his own jokes, which, I'm sorry to say, seems so childish to us. 🤷♂
"Clunsey" was Neil Morrisey's Men Behaving badly co-star Martin Clunes, the joke here being that he was mixing him up with George Clooney. Incidentally, Morrisey replaced Harry Enfield after the first series of MBB. Harry later said that the series wouldn't have got commissioned without him but wouldn't have been as successful if he'd stayed
It was also the first British sitcom to switch channels while still in production.
The first 2 series were on ITV, then Thames TV, who made the show, lost their regional broadcast rights for London, so BBC took MBB over, and switched it to a post-watershed slot, where it flourished.
The Neil Morrissey impression by Peter Serafin-'et cetera' was 10/10!
The joke was that everyone expected to be the eightees singer but it was a 90s comedian
Tim Key is an actual poet, and you've also seen him as Alan Partridges sidekick, remember in the film when he had to wear the foil shotgun holster hat? He's in Mid Morning Matters which you're reacting to now and he's also in the later series This Time with Alan Partridge which you haven't reacted to yet.
Tim Key is fantastic, love his podcast appearances as well.
@@Renzsu I love 'No More Jockeys', he's brilliant
Currently watching him in the show Brassic which has been added to Netflix this week.
SIDEKICK SIMON, SIDEKICK SIMON
Indeed, a very talented poet and writer. His collections of prose and poetry written during the COVID lockdown are just great. 'He Used Thought as a Wife' and 'Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush'
King Boomer, nice content my guy
Peter is the best 🥳 love your reactions on him 👌
The amount of people that confuse impressions with impersonation is mind blowing.
You can do an impression of a cop and make people laugh, if you impersonate one you'll go to prison.
There's another tv series to add to the list King, Men Behaving Badly. Was a very funny BBC comedy in the 90's.
It starred the before mentioned Neil Morrissey
If you watch the beginning of an episode, you will see how they have to bring your mascot
Hence, the Muppets The other Muppets are the contestants😂😂😂😂
King Boomer, recently came across your reaction videos. You absolutely MUST react to Danny Dyer in 8 out of 10 cats talking about aliens.
Still going to recommend Taskmasker episodes since all on UA-cam and a great show with lots of people you'll love.
Men Behaving Badly was a Comedy in the 90’s and Neil Morrisey was one of the main cast (in fact Harry Enfield payed his role in the first season before Neil Morrisey took over in the second season)
Surprised you haven’t done a reaction to it yet, it is a bit of a cultural icon in the UK.
Both funny and educational.
Muppet Day, you say ? "Randy buys a bookshelf Off Gumtree" is top tier (physical) muppetry. [the 21min12s version, not official "(Draft One)"]
PS, IT Crowd-adjacent... jonesin' for Jen ? "Katherine Parkinson Interviews Alex Horne" is quite bizarre. (but it seems Taskmaster stuff tends to get blocked)
Neil Morrissey was the original voice of Bob The Builder. That children's TV character popular a few years back. So the impression was spot on to me anyway. He did a show called Men Behaving Badly which originally starred Harry Enfield as the flatmate with Martin Clunes. Neil replaced Harry when he left the show early on. Although that's probably why you see Men Behaving Badly actors like Martin Clunes in some Harry Enfield show sketches. Along with the woman who plays Clunes love interest in the show.
You forgot he got his big break starring as Rocky in Boon alongside michael Elphick
I do wish he had come on a second time to 8 of 10 cats as Brian Butterfield
The reason that none of your business line was so funny is because it was pretty much the first question of the show.
A Brit here. This is just to give it up for the USA. Nobody roasts a celebrity like the Americans. They certainly can take a joke.
Awsome impression 20 out of 10
Everyone was expecting Steven Morrissey, lead singer from the Smiths, not Neil Morrissey. Have to admit, I found that genius.
There are videos of Peter Serafinwicz impressions on UA-cam and the man is bloody brilliant.
Neil Morrissey impression rates
11 out of 10 😅
Excellent impression, men behaving badly, should be on the list of reaction shows , muppetry of the highest order. !!!
The Neil Morrissey impression is bang on. Peter Serafinowicz was also the voice of Darth Maul in Phanton Menace, if that's of any interest.
You should check out
Men behaving badly
Oh god please don't!
Yep, when you consider he's reacting to shite like Gavin And Stacey and Fresh Meat, it's an absolute travesty that he's not reacted to Men Behaving Badly!
I'm sure it'll get a spot on the watch list eventually
Great Neil Morrisey impersonation.
You need to react to Men behaving badly. Great show.
Apparently, Peter Serafinowicz did the voice of Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode I 🥴
That Neil Morrissey impersonation is as good an impression as I have ever heard
Whatever scale you are using, it’s the standard
Danny Dyer is HYSTERICAL
Sort your ants out man lol
There's a difference between a game show and a panel show, game shows have regular people and panel shows have mostly comedians but they are played for a laugh.
Both of you would love Men Behaving Badly, problem is you would have to link the reactions to another video site. That impression was outstanding.
I’d you haven’t already you should do Jimmy Carr versus hecklers. he’s posted a few on his UA-cam and it’s a masterclass in stand up
Not to mention, in the States you can't say anything too provocative or youll be cancelled. And US celebs tend to get a little bit precious and bent out of shape if anyone dents their ego.
Men behaving badly is a good show to check out, the first series stars your favourite harry Enfield
He *is* a published poet, I have his book and it's.... well, it's that really.
Peter Serafinowicz's impression of Neil Morrisey:10 out of 10. KB - please watch the full episode with "Abdicates" in it, it's very good.
It is a 10/10 impression!
You should watch Men Behaving Badly. Classic!
Good film with Danny Dyer to look out for is, The Business
Definitely subscribed 💪🏻 and the Neil Morrissey Impression by Peter is spot on
It’s a very good NEIL Morrissey impression & please please please react to Men Behaving Badly
You need to watch Men Behaving Badly, espacially from series 5 onwards. It's hilarious.
A very good impression, the thing is everybody thought he was gonna read the autobiography of Morrisey the lead singer of the Smiths, but he chose Neil Morriseys autobiography, Neil is a brummie comedy actor famous for a show called men behaving badly, which was brilliant and you should take a look.
Peter also does an excellent Darth Maul 😊
🙌
All hail our ant overlords!!
Say King be Boomer 😂😂
The cards that Tim Key is reading are from his fantastic set of poetry playing cards.
The Neil Morrisey impression was 10/10. You actually should really do some Men Behaving Badly reactions. It was a great sitcom for its time. Pretty underrated actually.
Danny Dyer is a great character, I've known a few Danny dyer's in my time and they're great people.
You need to watch ‘men behaving badly’ it’s so good!
Hi King Boomer. If I'm not mistaken Peter keeps saying "abdicate" because that show was filmed the week it was found Prince Andrew was friends with Jeffrey Epstein and the queen had previously helped him cover it up.
We need a Sean Bean reaction now 😄
10/10
It was a top-notch impression for sure.. too good
I have to respectfully disagree with your belief that comedy game shows if Americanised would focus more towards winning. Whose Line Is It Anyway? came out of Britain and did amazing in America and that had the tagline ‘where everything’s made up and the points don’t matter.’
You should watch Men Behaving Badly, in my opinion the first series with Harry Enfield isn't that great but the rest with Neil Morrissey are legendary!
Fantastic impersonation
Carrying on the discussion, it probably is the competition element that would ruin these shows in the US. But it is odd, panel shows did start in the US, and Whose Line was popular.
Wait, has Boom not seen much of Dyer? He's always fun, but I don't know how much of it is intentional.
I'm not sure if you've reacted to any 'Whose Line is it Anyway', with stand-up comedians, but I think that show might have gone down well with a certain audience demographic over there. ua-cam.com/video/vXk0bYaTeio/v-deo.html
Lol, I see it was ABC, so American anyhoo. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you want to see prime Danny Dyer watch Human Trafic. I was an extra in that film.
Is it possible that because it used to say "subscribed" whereas now it just doesn't have option if you are already subscribed people are thinkihg they arent? Ive literally never experienced this unsubscrihing malarky that keeps getting mentioned
The impression? Watch Men Behaving Badly (not season 1), and decide for yourself!
11. It's Neil Morrissey who was momentarily a bit of a darling boy on TV but lost favour due to being actually a bit of a wally. The impression is not only very good but at the same time makes Morrissey interesting again. While the impression lasts..
I think having an affair with Amanda Holden when she was married to Les Dennis didn't help.
@@Paddy.C Ah.
Serafinowicz is the voice of Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace
Neil Morrisey who was a comedy series called ‘Men Behaving Badly’ with Martin Clunes. He also did the voice of ‘Bob The Builder’.
I love that Peter is in blockbuster movies like john wick
And Guardians of the Galaxy
Great impression of Neil Morrisey and I recommend Men Behaving Badly as a show to react to. Season 2 onwards
I definitely wouldn't skip S1 of Men Behaving Badly... It's different and probably is the weakest season but it's interesting to see the character development from that season onwards and there's still some very memorable funny moments in S1 that would be a shame to miss.
Tim Key. The best published poet.
Not a lot of people realise that Peter Serofinowiz was the voice of Darth Maul in SW: The Phantom Menace.
Come on: the #1 fact about Peter was he was the voice of Darth Maul. He might not like that to be the case, but I'm sure it is true.
The Neil Morrisey impression was 10/10. He co stared in a sitcom called (Men behaving badly) I'm sure every UK viewer of your channel is wondering why the hell you haven't reacted to it yet...lol The joke was we thought Peter was going to read from the auto biography of the singer called Morrisey from the band (The Smiths). BTW Harry Enfield was in season 1 of men behaving badly....
Neil Morrisey replaced Harry Enfield on "Men behaving badly". The UK, better version (Not seen the US once, but it didn't last long)
Ah yes. Men behaving badly. Good old comedy show. I think it was the 80s or 90s. I forget. Then there's 2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps. Both good shows. Worth the watch.
I've gotta say, having watched it when broadcast, "abdicates" got very tired very quickly.
The cw has tried to bring these comic shows but they just bomb. American versions at least.
Danny dyer is actually related to royalty 👍🏼
oh definitely a 10 out of 10
Peter was the roommate in Shaun of the dead
14:48 it's BOB THE BUILDER. well, it's actually the man who voices Bob, but, It's all us parents remember 😂😂
