      I have a 1970s stingray with a yd100 on it, it had the super pk80 but I had to pull it off for maintenance. Before I pulled it off I could cruise around at 37 and hit 40 once or twice with a 28t sprocket first run with the yd on a horrible tune got up to 32 at very low rpms but I only weigh about 130 as well 😂. I really wish I could get my channel off the ground I've got all different motors and bike sizes well a few. I also have both the 79cc four stroke and the bt80 and they are quite similar takeoff is much smoother with the bt80 tho for sure. That bt80 is a very underestimated motor imo.

      I got three rides I'd like to share, a BT80 powered Hyper Commute, Phantom 85 powered Schwinn Frontier, and a Phatmoto All Terrain. I have daily driven all three to and from work, and I always have people talking about them, or wanting one themselves.

    Thanks for the shout out the only thing I want to add is my sprocket in the back is actually a 40 tooth. not a 36 and I still plan on riding the bikes just in less populated areas.
    I like this type of video it was really cool to see everybody else's builds!

    heyo from cenla!
    for the split m65 clones, honestly depending on how stiff your retainer springs on, it can sometimes be easier to just remove the header entirely rather than fight with the retaining springs to release. That being said, the split design does allow more flexibility to mounting to frame/angling the exhaust without having to use a torch to bend it.

    To everyone out there I just want to say be careful with your Motorized bikes at stores. Yesterday my Motorized bike was stolen from outside of harbor freight. I wasn't in there no longer than 10 minitues.The guy cut the lock off my bike left his piece of shit bike there and left with my custom bike that was priceless to me being all the hours I spent making it my own. And if the police would of went after the guy after they seen on camera the way he went down the highway I'd have my bike right now. I'm so mad at how they handled the situation, now if it happened to someone they knew or if the guy had a gun, or even probably if it was a car that got stolen they probably would of actually did there job. I was homeless for 4 and a half years in the woods in a tent about 6 months ago. I was just getting my life back in order. And my only transportation and only thing I have besides a cheap rc car is gone. And for me to try and make money to somehow get another is in possible cause I need one to get to jobs to make the money to buy one. So it's just a catch 22. I still cant come to the fact that it's gone and most likely I'm not gonna be able to get another one and if possible it wouldn't be for a long while I'd be able to get the money up. Please everyone just be on point I dont want to see this happen to any of you. Take care and God bless.

    The BT80 is the ultimate commuter engine IMO. I'd still be using one if it wasn't due to parts availability being so hit and miss. They definitely have a lot more low end torque than a standard CG, are much smoother running, and will rev pretty well also. With a larger carb and a better exhaust, I had little trouble hitting 40mph. The oil bath centrifugal clutch is extremely smooth, and the 60 watt 6 pole stator allows you to run plenty of universal 12V motorcycle lighting and other goodies.

    Thanks. I’ll check out Gemini wheels as I was looking for a more heavy duty wheel. To answer the question, it’s a gen 2 phantom. I did switch it to a wide needle bearing for the piston. It has survived the year so far. The Dlh budget clutch been as expected, but I have broken and couple of clutch cables with it from the more pull pressure.

    • @LAHover
      @LAHover  2 роки тому +1

    Excuse me LA Hover Bikes. If I may respectfully add: Each individual part of a bicycle's frame is weak. Correctly assembled together they form a strong unit. If any part is altered, the frame is compromised and can lead to failure. Thank you for your inputs! It really helps! Actually one of my biggest issue is the engine, yes its fast and torquey but the vibration is bad esp on low to mid rpms, I did a 100km round trip on this bike on one of my videos and I can tell you after that ride my hands were numb, as for the chain tensioner i had bad experience of the chain locking in on the drive sprocket and almost had an accident, so thats why I placed an arch tensioner and a spring loaded tensioner for extra peace of mind although on a new build that I made recently I was able to adjust the chain enough for both the pedal and engine side to be tensioned equally without using any tensioners, im guessing i can do the same to the Indian. Btw I also agree with your other suggestions on how to smooth out the engine and it was a great input! anyways, God Bless you! Mabuhay! 🇺🇸🇵🇭

    I got to get off my butt and make a video of my build. Mainly not to show off but to see if there is an issue that should be addressed. My main concern is my brakes. I got a huffy Cranbrook frame so there no disk attachments. I used the adapter to install cause I bought the wheelset from bike berry and the back disk was making contact with frame so basically I got front brakes only and they tend to rock back and forth alittle making me think they are sketchy at best.

      People said that a ported cylinder is useless without a reed valve and that it will run bad. Do you know if that's true? Also, how much does sanding the cylinder to tighten the squish gap help with power?

    • @ultimateearrapechannel31
      @ultimateearrapechannel31 Рік тому

      Because I don't want to do heavy modifications and big calculations but I just want more power. Mine topped out at 40mph now, I'm using a pwk 21mm carb now (it's not correctly rejetted so I might get a little more top speed if I do that). also, I've been sanding down my cylinder a little bit before but it takes alot of time, only got off about 1/3th mm so I have to do it again, last time it didn't cause any problems and it still had a tight sealing. But I think it should have a squish gap of about 0.7mm, and it's now 3😂

    I wish that was able to post a video of mine. A 1964 Schwinn built for two tandem with the chain gard, chopped the back crank arms and back seat post tube, BMX bullhead handle bars with the double pull thumb throttle Minerva front disc brake, on a26 inch heavy duty spoked chrome rim, bontrager street ripper front tire. Custom built seat post with a Nel luso recovered seat.
    The motor is a yd 100 bottom ported and polished not yet balanced crank with an intake skirted piston and wrist pin stays for keeping the bearings centered, ld100 open port cylinder ported with the billet higher performance head decked. Ngk plug. Stand alone cdi and separate sparkplug coil.pk80 style. Hp carb rejected with custom hole size @75? with a self designed 3d printed velocity stack. Slightly retarded timing thanks to a magneto magnet custom cut 4° back. 1 1/3 of 2 415 chains, motor mounted chain tensioner and two chassis rollers due to length ( soon to be welded on ) hooked to a 38 tooth back sprocket with the billet clamp on hub adapter on a hd back chrome rim with a black 2.4 liter gas tank with gold scroll Hardley davidson tank emblem ... Yes harDley davidson... with black anodized fuel filter.
    It looks and rides like a drag bike and I had to take the 36 volt electric front hub off of it because it was quick and sketchy to ride. I've never seen anybody build a bike like it. On my first ride out I had three people stopped me and asked me to build them one which I have yet to do.

    Consider adding a motorized bike section to your discord the minarelli obsessed money pit section has nothing for me

    That first one looks so much like a late 70s cb750 it’s not even funny
    And I really don’t think there is any amount of power in an 85cc chainsaw motor. I think the normal wear and tear that a bike sees on a normal day is probably harder than any of these little motors will be on the hubs, frame, etc. just my 2 cents.
    That said I think tires are the part you need to not skimp on. Make sure they’re not dry rotted and such. Dont trust off-road tires on the road for extreme leaning and such.

    Completely unrelated to the video but what is your discord? I'd like to join it if it is public
