I was raised christian and have had my complaints about the system i was raised in. One of my key complaints was that pastors have such a tendency to stay in the "safe zone" and just stay repetitive and tell church goers what they want to hear.
Last few days ive been going down the youtube rabbit hole of this channel and its a game changer for me. Id say this channel should be more popular, but 10s of thousands of views on whats basically bible study is actually stunningly successful in reality.
Let me share something valorous that I just learnt today, related to verse 18. The Tree of Life is the same in Genesis 3:24. ETZ HA'CHAYIM. In Hebrew, the word ETZ can refer to eithers a "tree" or "wood".
The TORAH Scrolls are rolled around 2 wooden dowels and are called ATZEI CHAYIM - "woods of life"
ETZ is spelled and pronounced almost identically as the Hebrew word ETZAH, which means "advice". So, saying "ETZ HA-CHAYIM (tree of life) sounds also very much like "advice of life - ETZAH HA-CHAYIM

Outstanding teaching. Just a clarification.... The Pharisees weren't the enemies of Jesus. *Some* of the Pharisees were his enemies. Others weren't. In fact, Jesus spent so much time correcting the Pharisees because, of all the Jewish religious sects of the day, their understanding was closest to his.

Actually the Bible does say the earth is a sphere. Isaiah 40:22.
many Christians actually believe the earth is flat, including my nephew and wife, because of the 4 corners of the earth (Revelation 7:1), and they refuse to believe otherwise.
Wow! "don't be wise in your own eyes" Quoted right after he self-righteously says anyone thinking the Earth is not a circle is trying to convince their parents of something. Wow, if thats not a heavy contradiction of message i don't know what is. First off, a little geometry lesson, A circle is not a sphere. just like there is no wisdom in believing a square is a cube. Secondly, John 1 3:7 "Little children, let no one deceive you. " The name NASA in Hebrew means "to deceive". is there any wisdom in questioning wether you have been deceived or not?
I came here for teaching on proverbs 3. Got a bad taste in my mouth after jokes about alcoholic Christian parents, which is a sad thing, and emphasis on mocking Christians who believe wrong doctrine about prosperity. Who called you to sit in the seat of the mocker? Blessed is he who does not sit in the seat of the scoffer. Psalm 1. The humor just falls flat. Maybe stick to just teaching? I grew up in a family where sarcasm was acceptable humor. But the Lord has way better taste in humor, and Holy Spirit guides us away from mocking. Please don't breed contempt and division in the body. Pray for people in wrong doctrine. Explain why they're in error.
As a recovering alcoholic 15 days sober that has been following this series, I think the jokes were in bad taste.
