We boarded 2 different flights i.e. Air India and Air Canada also together the flight was about 27 hrs. (incl. 8 hrs. layover in London)…

Well it depends. They might or might not ask for RTPCR. I would suggest to do the covid 19 test and take the report with you.

Thanks buddy. No we did not require a transit visa because we had layover less then 8 hours. If the stay is over 8 hours then you require a transit visa.

When your stay is less then 8 hrs. You do not require any transit.
I m travelling via heathrow, layover of 2 hrs from mumbai to atlanta....do i hv to go through security n immigration both? Or only security. My arrival nd departure is T5 to T5 B or C probably...
On every layover, you need to cross immigration and customs.

@KAUSHIKONBOARD bro i am travelling from delhi to calgary with air india & air canada connecting flights via london, does i need to recheck in my baggage at london because of change of airlines.
Yes you need to get your bags re-checked, but only the ones you are carrying like backpack, waist pouch. The 2 large ones does not need to be checked and you will get them when you reach calgary. They transfer baggage themselves.👍

How much time taken for immigration in your case?
Well, im my case it took around 10 to 15 minutes. No questions asked just collected my passport and then after a few minutes they called my name and handed my study permit to me

One hour is not enough to be honest. Bahut jald bazi wala kaam ho jayega. If possible do your stay atleast 2-3 hrs. Or else apko bahut speed me kaam karna padega.

Bro airport pe randomly documents maangte hai sab. Mujhse vaccination certificate aur RTPCR manga tha airport pe but mere friend se aisa kuch nahi manga. I would suggest documents lekar hi jao aap sare airport pe.

hi, how much luggage was allowed, hand baggage and checking both as in piece and weight..
46 kg was allowed in checkin baggage, and 7 kg was allowed as hand luggage. Tho i took a smaill suitcase (7kg), a bagpack and a waistbag. They just check the weight of small suitcase and not of any other baggage.

For us, it took only about 20 minutes.
