So you don’t know how to travel you always make it bad protection of the Canada probably want to have luxury all the time when you travel travel for nothing shouldn’t in Canada. That’s what I see.
VV, you're on another level mate. Better than Sam, Jeb, Dan, Paul, Paul, Noel and most others. The only 2 I think are good as u at delivering and telling a story are Dennis and Scott (sanspotter). Animation-wise you are alone at the top as far as I'm concerned. Thank u for this first class review/trip report. You're the man VV!
Thank for you saying that, it means a lot. Although, I have to say, I do enjoy all of the aforementioned channels and their unique way of delivering content. I’m glad you appreciate the animations, there will be more to come!
Semi agree, except for Jeb, I know him (though he is still trying to figure out who I am in real life, not this name ;)) both are a step ahead of the others. I would also say Sanspotter does a great job and has a very similar sense of humor to VV.
I do edit everything myself, and I guess it depends on the video. I make them mostly as a pass time, and probably spend about an hour or two a day editing them.
I took the “raccoon livery” 787-8 to London from YVR. It was a pretty cool flight as it was my first time flying on an Air Canada raccoon livery. Keep up the great work man!
Helpful, informative and well spoken plus subtle humour. Thank you VV. great graphics to show travel by maglev and terminal layout. Getting to the airport and navigating terminals are also an important part of the journey. So this is appreciated. I just travelled HKG-YVR in Bulkhead seat 50EF. Love to hear your perspective on that.
This is an amazing review, after I saw this I immediately watched all of your videos, hope you stay safe and are on track to make some more videos!!!!!!!!!
Wow, really comprehensive review, entertaining, impressive delivery and all useful details. All hallmarks of a seasoned traveller who focuses on the essential information but very helpful.
I have been wanting to do youtube like this to travel and film, my question is when you land , what do you do i dont see any vlogs of exploration . Also just found your channel and really been enoying it. I need to swtich my gaming channel to travel like this seems more relaxing and less headache lol. Keep it up.
Excellent video thanks! We are considering upgrading to premium economy for our upcoming Brisbane to Halifax flight on Air Canada and this is very helpful.
Brilliant Review! I'm actually flying AC Prem Econ in a couple weeks from YVR to Dublin Ireland! Although none of of my flights are on the dreamliner... Whaaa wonnn!
I love the new livery and Air Canada was the first airline to give their cockpit the bad ass black trim around the exterior cockpit window and excuse me for not knowing the correct terminology but you should know what I am saying if your an AV geek... And man you make a good narrator/ video so I hope you can keep them coming cause this was a great review and I am comparing you to some of the big guys out their but great job.. I am new subscriber for you for sure...
Just wondering what the name is of the audo track starting at around 5:49? Also, new sub from YVR, I really do enjoy your videos. I got hooked on your UA Polaris Business Class review as I'll be aboard that to SIN mid January 😃
Very informative video. I'll be flying Air Canada Premium Economy 787-9 solo . Just wondering which seat would you normally choose. I also have long legs so I guess 12 is out and its between rows 13 and 14. I'm thinking of Row 14 window seat so I can rest my head on the window/side..
First time I have seen your videos. You seem to be quite entertaining so I will definitely check out some more. "I am 181cm tall or for Americans 0.00112468 miles." I almost spit out my milk!!
This is an excellent video! Very helpful Thank you. I was hoping that premium economy service would be a lot better to travel internationally.. Based on your review, it sounds like premium economy is better while travelling in north america only. Depending on the aircraft you don't even get separate premium economy cabin washrooms or get to use the ones in the Business class section, no lounge access, slightly better meal and an amenity kit, I hope you get at least a few free alcoholic beverages. Doesn't sound worth booking premium economy for double the cost of a regular economy ticket at all. The basic fare internationally would cost 1/3 of a premium economy ticket. The premium economy product sounds like it needs an upgrade :)
My fiancée and I are going to France for our honeymoon and as I have dietary constraints, the food has been a concern for me. But the Air Canada food looks perfectly edible and so, that's a relief.
Amazing Video VV! I think it's better to fly with economy rather premium economy because they just provide you with just few more amenities and charge a lot. I recently watch james asquith's review, i would recommend that.
Hey traveling to Italy from Toronto is its worth the extra for the premium economy ticket round trip? Btw great job on all your videos I look forward to watching your travels
Did you grow up reading MAD Magazine? I ask because your sense of humor reminds me of the classic puns and one liners used by Mad's Maddest Artist the Late Don Martin. I enjoy watching your your trip reports, and most of all the funny comments that you let out every now and then.
Great review! I am trying to decided whether or not to fly YVR to LHR Economy or Premium Economy. This I gues, would be on Air Canada as what I seen of Westjet's PEco, just is a bit disappointing. A/C only offers one flight non-stop each day on this route, which leave one to travel to LHR via YYC / YYZ or YUL. If flying via a stop, I guess stopping at YYC makes send as the second leg is longer providing the possibility of sleeping a little longer. Please let me know your thoughts. TY
I'm with you on the livery. I've always detested the toothpaste livery. For my money the old Canadian Airlines goose livery and CP Air Orange and silver were the best Canadian liveries. Thanks for the great content!
@@riffgroove Thank you. What happened with us was that, since we bought our tickets from their partner (a travel agency), we could only select our seats within 48h before the flight. Then AC's website says that if you buy the ticket directly from them instead of a travel agency, that you can purchase the early seat selection way before that 48h window before your flight. But it worked fine as it was.
@rafaelnavega5447 Yeah, even though I'm flying out tomorrow, it was still not a problem getting the sat I wanted. I imagine this would totally depend on how busy this particular route was in general. Glad it worked out for you.
I haven't made my choice yet, due to lots of changes our trip has been delayed. I am still unsure though between Air Canada and Lufthansa. One thing is certain it will not involve any airline which uses London Heathrow! !!!
Hi VV, going to Tokyo from Toronto with 2 young kids next year, cant really afford business, so lookinat Premium Economy middle seats for the 4 of us. Just wonder which row would you suggest? First with bulk head or middle? Thank you
Hey there! I'd actually steer you to the back row, you can recline the seats freely since there's no one behind you. The first row is rather lacking in terms of foot space, and the young ones might have hard time reaching the IFE that's on the wall. Hope that helps!
Isn't that actually the latest product? Old ones had that red leather. I always fly Premium Economy or J on YYZ-TYO / YVR/TYO and I have never seen a proper 'leg rest' on AC PE whether it's a 777 or 787 -- just that terrible non-adjustable leg rest you mentioned. Even Philippines Airlines has a proper leg rest in PE. IMHO AC's hard product is way behind... Also, I was in that lounge in January and there were no dumplings then either. We should mutiny.
Yes, on the 787, and 777 (with one business class cabin), the bathroom towards the front of the cabin on the left (port) side is reserved for PE. On the 777 with two business classes, PE shares the bathrooms with economy.
Honestly the Premium Economy long haul on Air Canada was very disappointing and akin to "Business Class" on a budget carrier like Jet Star. I would either do bare bones economy or BC. 👍
To be frank air canada exit/bulkhead row economy on long hauls are a much better value than premium economy. Premium economy is simply not enough differentiation to be worth the money and has less legroom than aforementioned economy seats, which are only $150 more expensive than barebones economy.
What I am hearing from you... Short distance traveled get Premium Economy Long distance traveled stay Economy Is that right?? But then you said Premium Economy tickets are about the same as Economy on long distance flights so...
More based on feel. If you need the extra room for long-haul, PE is a great way to do that. Bang for your buck PE is best in medium-range flights; business-class meals, etc. He said PE tickets are the same as "Flex Economy" which is an economy seat with flexibility perks such as changing your flight or canceling without fees for example. Your average economy ticket will be noticeably less than premium economy.

Very informative, unbiased, and downright entertaining video.
I’ll be traveling soon to Canada and was really considering premium economy, well I guess you helped me make up my mind. Thanks
3 mins in and already a great video. great shots, voiceover, editing!
