I used to be a ICI Pipefitter (Local 46) before I re-trained as a Software Developer. Some crane operators were tough on us apprentices but the good ones would pull us aside and teach us how to communicate with you guys.
Thats how we all get better. Thanks for sharing brother 🪝🪝😂👍🤯🤯🫡🙏
What's that clicking sound
@@ljguy300 speed of the hoist up or down is relative to the frequency y of the clicks
Mobile crane op here, and it's pretty fun to watch you work that tower crane! The depth perception is so much different from up high.
Brother of the hook. 💪🙏👍🪝. Thanks for watching. I’d like to see the mobile perspective too 🙏👍
Mobile crane op here also (NJ/NY) .. same here, nice to get a switch up and see the perspective of what we do but from high in sky rather than down on the ground. Keep slingin it fellas
not a full time op, but i run pendant/bridge cranes regularly. Honestly don't see how your butt don't pucker everytime you lift on something with all the deflection in those tower cranes.
I drive by your site multiple times some days. Enjoy your videos. Keep them coming.
Thanks for watching brother 🙏👍💪
Man as a qualified rigger and ironworker in Cali, I have to say some of these signalman have some interesting ways to signal you 😪😅😅
Brother of the hook 🪝. Only other crane boys will understand lolz 😂😂😂

Buddy on the ground sounds like hes straight outta Toronto with that accent LOL Great video!
I think he is….. 🤯🤯👍👍
Agreed I've been on the Job with him😮
Haha fme I lost it when they were lining you up w the empty bucket 😂😂 I feel your pain
Hahahaha yes feel my pain 💥🪝😂🤯👍
Liked and subscribed at first i was like hes wayy to young to be a crane operator i was lowkey watching for a major fail (like a swift truck driver style fail) 🤣😂 but i have to say im impressed and that and your attitude and clean language is what got me to subscribe great content and great channel I’ll highly recommend your channel to my friends God bless yall true american workers
Thanks for watching brother. I’m working on bringing y’all another one 👍👍🪝
Good video. I’m doing a short gig on site right now with a tower crane as “certified rigger” but most of my work is mobile crane signaling for very slow and precision picks/sets with a 600ton. It is always an adjustment to get back into the tower game.
Love these videos
Thanks brother
This young man has a good life ahead of himself..
Just trying to get by brother. Thanks for stopping by. 🪝💪🙏👍
I was one's a tower crane banks man, now am a Asphalt paver operator,"lol"
Very nice job, I'm a residential concrete pourer/stone mason and there is a lot of days where I'm wheelbarrowing concrete all day the length of football fields sometimes so i don't ruin people's yards and would love to have you there lol. Do you have video of how your crane is all set up? Like from the ground up? If not, you should definitely make one.
I will be doing more on erection/dismantling days when they come up. Thanks for watching brother 🙏👍
Super fun to realize where your at. Go Vic city!!
Yes boi!!!
I love the camera angles . I have ky practical done , but still have to do my written and I love watching how you run the controls compared to how to crane reacts .
I had no idea you could do your practical first. Cool tools and good luck with your theory tests!
@heavybrowncranes yes you can do either one first. I don't think it has always been like that. I have my crawler and large and since 2018 and have always did my practical first. Thanks for the comment . I'm currently working a refinery shutdown as a crane operator and I watch you on UA-cam operate a crane lol.
@@dakotagrown8619 perfect that’s Pat for the course brother 🪝🪝👍🤯💥🫠
Love the videos bud ! simply a different kinda job i've never imagined beeing that powerful of a machine, can't wait to see more and see the building you are at getting bigger !!!!
Thanks for watching brother 🪝🤯🙏👍
Ya boy!! Pretty much, bang on!
Yeeee boiii!!!
Cool vid thanks for sharing
Thanks for checking it out 👍🙏
Never looked at cranes but well done mate cheers
Thanks for stopping by 🙏👍💪.
Very good videos, thank you! Well edited and really shows what the job entails. Always have wondered how it all works.
These last four videos have indeed been epic! The effort you put into them really shows.
And I only worry about the people who DON’T occasionally talk to themselves. 😀
Thanks for watching brother. Appreciate you 👍🙏🫠💪
Love you videos brother. I drive the same crane over in europe Ireland. Love it its a breat crane and very adjustable for the operators liking. Great bit of driving. Stay safe and keep up the good work 💪💪
Killer job brother! I run a boom crane for concrete waste containment. I would love to run big cranes. Cheers from South Carolina
Cheers brother. Thanks for watching
That’s pretty sick bro , Im a qualified rigger out in the bay area only get to run the phones and erect tower cranes so never get to see the cab perspective it it’s pretty nerve wrecking hearing other people signal 🥴
Brother of the hook 🪝. Thanks for watching 🤯🙏👍
Dude im a operator in Australia, funny watchn u i scream the same things at my dogmen all day long lol
This looks so much like a site setup in my hometown I’m legit wondering if it’s the same one. I’d be nervous too! 😂
Damn ,I enjoyed that
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoy 💪🙏👍🪝
As a concrete worker... sometimes you gotta dump a load so the mud doesn't push the rebar out of place and it ends up showing when we strip the forms a couple days later..... we have our reasons and they ain't always good ones 😅...
Maybe go down and ask some questions. Learn a few things .....
new subscriber here to ,good video fella,
Welcome! Glad you enjoy 💪🙏👍
Hey Heavy, How many yards does that bucket hold of concrete?
2.6 yards
I could understand that this dude is very arrogant and thinks that he's better and smarter than everybody else😂
He’s got that First Gen attitude.
Woohoo #1000 👍.
Great production. Greetings from Dundalk, Ireland
Greetings from across the pond!! Glad you enjoyed!
I want to be a tower crane operator now
It’s good times do it!
Is it short tons or metric tons?
Metric tons
I am a crane operator myself, been on all type of machines the last 20 years. And the last 10 i have mostly been on cranes. Why don´t you get your self a hook cam or place it in the trolly. You can get decent backup camera from china for cheap. Then you get a camera that you need to connect to power, 12v. But a small motorcycle battery works whole 8 hours, then you get a monitor 8-12 inch LED monitor that you can use to see whats beneath the hook in a blind lift. They usually can work up to 50-60 meters in a straight line. I got my self a similar system that i placed on the boom head on my 45 ton Liebherr, proper Orlaco cost 6-900 dollars. Back up camera with wireless monitor from China cost 25 dollars...
Steve are you waiting to get in here? "my friend is fu**ing beautiful" awe thanks bro your beautiful too.... lol
Do you get headaches/eye fatigue from concentrating on small far-away targets all day?
Yes
@@heavybrowncranesdo you ever keep a pair of binoculars in the crane? I don't think I could resist looking around when waiting on the ground guys lol
2 questions:
What brand of boots are those? 😂😂
And the overalls as well?
Awesome content!!!
Those are super duper comfy cab boots lolz. Overalls are carhart. Thanks for watching brother 💪🙏👍🪝
These boots are made for walking.....NANCY SINATRA.......
As I like to say, pouring a 120mm/5" floor with a 750liter bucket.. Get the Bucket empty and start raking, its quicker than moving the Bucket around for wheelbarrow sized piles here and there, when you are finished raking the bucket is back from the truck anyways..😅. And that is a hand signal type of pour job imo
That sounds like a good way of doing it 🙏👍💪. Thanks for watching brother. 🪝🪝
by the way if you take off the back of the radio your frequencys are printed on the frame
🙏🙏🤯👍💥
Great
Thanks bud
How does an electric crane work? Is it an electric drive motor powered by an on board diesel generator?
3 part power, frequency drive electric motor. 4 of them
(Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm talking about) Is there a reason they aren't using those concrete pump trucks with the long bendy shoots for some of these pours?
Sometimes we use. Sometimes there is no place to put the pump. Pumps are big. So crane is best option. 👌👌👍💥✌️👌👌👍
@@heavybrowncranes Cool, thanks for the insights!
Never use your best guess on what the guy said on the radio. Sit still or make contact again.
👏🥳🫡🫡
are the radio's you use recivable on a uhf or vhf business band radio
Closed channel……gonna have to guess the frequency
thank you for the info
by the way your running on a business band
channel more than likely short range very
high frequency with a range of 25 thousend ft and 12 floors up but don't worie
I live in Minnesota so your fine keep

@@donalderickson-si8ww if I could send it that far I would!!!!
Surprised Gr hasn’t made its way into the industry.
GR?
Where do you go to the washroom?
Bottles for number 1 before or after for number 2
@@heavybrowncranes damn. I mean if there was a porta potty type setup up there it probably wouldn't look very good after dismantle
@@aroundtheleaguehighlightse6163 I’ve only had to emergency climb down twice for #2. You adjust fast
I bet you get to see the Incredible Stupidity of Iron Workers from up there?
You see more of everything from up here 😂😂🤣🙏👍👍🤘
I know every tower crane I have worked with is hard wired. No wireless due to technicality of placing a 15,000+ pound precast panel.
What do you mean hard wired? Compared to what?
Are you from BC ?
Not me realizing I know exactly where this is
🪝🪝🤯🙏👍
I'm sure it's been asked before, but what is that clicking whilst you're moving? Cancel that, watched long enough to hear the explanation.
Thanks for watching 😂😂🤯🤯👍👍🪝🪝🙏🫡
@@heavybrowncranes Absolutely man. I'm a dirt work guy, so this is a pretty cool perspective to get.
What if they had like goggles you were , and when u need to zoom in you press a peddle and hold it zooms
I would definitely grab a pair
@@heavybrowncranes let’s halfsies on the patnet ? lol
What do you do when you have to urinate or a bowel movement. Truckers have bottles and buckets in case of emergency.
Are you regulated to mandatory breaks where you can to come down to the ground. Truckers have mandatory 30 min break before 8 hours and have to stop at their 14 hour and have to be off to 10 hours. This is all DOT regulations. Do you have similar federal regulations.
Bottles. Some have buckets. Depends on the crane. Pool noodle makes for a good seat.
If we wanted music we would look that up, get rid of it while you are explaining things
My voice is all you need bby 💋💋💋💋👍🤯🙏
@@heavybrowncranes ur so funny
😍😍
thanks
Love that you got more informative with these like we asked bro. Is this your first project as a tower op? are you union? how long were you under the hook before you got in the seat?
Oh Lord! My lack of depth perception could never! Haha!!
dont you get neck pain from looking down all the time? 🤔
Yes. Though this crane ain’t that bad
Now every nobody has a channel
What if you have to poo?
stop being a sook rofl
Never.
Shits in a plastic bag..
One time…
So I got a question for you. Where do you go to the restroom at? Is there a restroom on that crane too?
No! I gotta bring bottles up with me. And a bucket in case of emergency 🚨
I always knew tower cranes were fast, but high speed ones? That's next level - they must be racing towards the finish line of construction projects!" 😄🏗️
Thank for watching. 🙏🙏👍💪🪝
