The young boy in the middle holding onto his brother the whole time is so adorable lol. These kids are smart and it fills me with hope just seeing them speak.

Asians really want to master the standard American accent
      More than silly Americans
      No DIALECTS
      and...accents
AND they STILL KEEP THEIR JAPANESE LANGUAGE
      Roberta looks Hafu🤔🎎

When I was an exchange student my host mom sent me off to get groceries by myself when I was able to speak enough Japanese. As I left one of her girls shouted "ミライアの初めておうつかい" and they all started laughing and shouting it again. I didn't really know until now. Haha. I still had a hard time at the store because I couldn't read kanji well at the time.

Sota seems so mature for his age! I loved his question about kids shopping in America. All three were so sweet answering your questions! Also, good to know the “Old Enough” show is exaggerated! 😅

There was a Japanese student doing a home stay at my college. My sensei introduced me to him but didn't say a thing at first.
I thought he was just Japanese American. I was SHOCKED when he said he was doing study abroad.

I’m glad that you got kids to give you advice about school in Japan Loretta so that way you have a better insight of what to prepare for. You, Boomer, & your little will be ready to step to the Japanese education world with this crash course. These boys are so precious and definitely preparing you all. The hat idea is very cute. I wonder since majority kids walk a good amount to & from school with the train being a way of transportation, how much of an allowance do they get if their parents give them one for let’s say snacks to get when coming home from school in case the kids get hungry? I didn’t had a allowance til middle school back in my day it was $20 a week & some was used for lunch.
