There are lots of options with a 6 channel amp. You can run all subs with it, you can run a set of 3 ways fully active with it (no passive crossovers), you can run mids, highs AND subs...whatever you want! I would have tested this amp on the Dyno but it is hard to test the entire amp (all channels driven) at the same time when the AD-1 (Amp Dyno) only has 2 channel input. Every CT Sounds amp i have ever tested has done it's rated power and then some so this one should be no different. I chose to run a set of 3 ways because that is probably what I would do with it. But you can easily run the entire system in one package if that is how you want to do it. Thanks for watching if you did!

There are lots of ways you can use a 6 channel amp. This is the way I would more than likely use one. So this amp on a set of 3 ways and a dedicated monoblock on the subs would be a solid choice with a much smaller footprint and a lot less wires. Of course, as stated in the video, you can run your entire system off of it if you want to! Link to more info on this amp amp in the description! Thanks for watching if you did!
Would you recommend dropping the rear fill and running only and active front stage?
@@Watchingyou-daily i never run rear fill. No need for it IMO
❤
Just bought 2 these, a set of the Meso 3 ways, a 3200.1, a pair of Meso 12's, and a hydro shallow 8 for my front sub. Upgraded from all NVX to all CT. Haven't even finished the install yet. I'm itching to see what kind of work they do.
Make sure to post a vid for us all to see the Setup @@emmittbishop4783😁✌🏾
CT gets slept on way too much. My entire system is CT and it sounds awesome!
CT Sounds has always been tough and reliable for us! I love the look too! Thanks for watching :)
lol don’t spread the word I love ct sound and how it’s not mainstream every time someone asks me what I’m running they immediately trying to copy it tho and I’m with you I’m all ct sound as well
3-way front stage, using all active crossover filters with a monoblock for subs for the win!
You always have the best music playing in your shop!🤘
I remember i wanted this for my build in my 01' Pontiac Bonneville. This amp was perfect for that car and all CT speakers too. 😊
Always a good day when Steve puts out a video, shoutout from Texas!
Only a handful of Car Audio channels I'd sit and watch for reviews/bench tests and SMD is DEF the 1st stop
I also love the size of this amp, you gets lots of channels in a compact size package.
I like how well you set that amp up! An ,matched with an active dsp like that one wow, clean an amazing . Well done steve . Thanks for posting .
Man we appreciate the advice. Sounds clean
I was thinking about doing an entire NVX system until I seen this amp for $360 😳
Love the color and shape. Reminds me of the old PPI Sedona amps
Got this amp in my 02 tahoe runinng my 3 ways. Works awesome
That white paint and plexi bottom, Straight out of 1996, I love it
Right. Remember the old school PPI Sedona amps
@@jero1820 Fuckin loved those things, still do. I'd proudly display a few in the back of my SUV, even though they match jack and shit. But I guess that would just make them stand out more, works for me.
That sounded great coming!
Bro i love it when you do reviews! U shoot the shit straight ive looked up to u in the bass world for years way before u painted the tahoe!! Keep it up bro!
Wow.!! That thing looks sweet AF!!!
I’m seeing a lot of reviews on the ct sounds, they coming up and definitely coming from Houston Texas 🤘🏽
I'm all for The AT series of CT Sounds. My bias is my car is a similar blue, laced in white in and out. I still have the AT1400D and AT200.4D in an old Scion. With little use and a lot of sitting - they have lasted some years and perform well.
That’s a beautiful amp. Sometimes I wish the manufacturers would offer an amp with a clear top and basically an amp with the guts also mounted inverted so we could always see that “bottom” view. Would look epic at night with some soft glow on the internals. 🤤
Subscribe to my channel and wait for it... That's all i can say about it right now. Had you gone to sema and to the right booth, you would be shocked how on point you are right now #smd #ds18
I have two of the v1 of this amp I love them
Dang, it's either these ctsound or the audio control d-6 for my next build :D
Great video and info. Versitile and simplistic. I did rear fill for years. Decided to leave it out in an suv setup one time and with time alignment i didn't miss it. Imo, i feel it sounded better. Like a "stage" as its referred to for a reason. Sq, sql... spl blow that stage out😂
Nice amp for your whole system thanks for sharing meade916.
no problem thanks for watching!
Just my opinion but nothing beats a class D amp and really its nice to see a space saving 6 Chanel class D
Great idea!
Would love to see SMD collaborate with @ctSounds and use this and all ctSounds other top tier items in that tidy Honda sedan!!!!
Sounds crisp! Would love to see your take on some DS18 product! If not, cool. Appreciate the upload!
what if there was a collab with SMD and DS-18 on something VERY cool and VERY unexpected? I feel like i just said too much. stay tuned......
really nice amp ..
Oh yeah love this !!! ❤❤❤❤
I still have an Audio Technix Stratos 15", from back before they changed the name to CT Sounds
I have CT2000 MONO BLOCK pushing 2 Rockford Fosgate punch T1s 10inch. In my semi, and im tell you, that CT Sounds amp is no joke!. Its a beast of an amp for real! And a small footprint too. And i have that Audio Control x-over in my closet! With EQ To go with it. Along with a whole nother system!
Would -LOVE- to see this run up with the Mmats 6150D for sure👍🏼 Almost Identical output..
wow that look reminds of the old PPI amp.
Im partial to the JP77 7-channel amp 3k rms output. channel 7 is 2k watts rms. It truely can run a mid sized system. But im sure its $$$ more over the CT Sounds in the review.
I run it with all channels bridged and it powers my 10" Focal sub, 2x 300w rms bass shakers strapped to my seat and channel 7 is powering an 18" Incriminator Audio Flatlyne IB sub.
i use a 2 channel front stage and my rear fill if needed and 2k watts for subs if i went that route.
I had this same model of amp for a little while back in early 2022, on six Deaf Bonce 6.5" midrange speakers @ 4 ohm each. It did pretty well I'd say. I posted a video awhile back, incase anyone here wanted to listen. I wasn't running any tweeters or any subwoofers in the video, so it's all just midrange for the most part
Can you do a video on how to get more outputs on a aftermarket radio that only has front rear and sub
I wonder if anyone has installed the Down4Sound JP77 amp? I would love someone like you to test it in a real world application. Great vid brother.
they need to do an amp all see threw that would be amazing for demos
Im debating on a ct sounds at2300 or sundown audio sia 2500 for my kicker solo x 12 , this amp is beautiful
I’m starting a new system with a five channel running the entire vehicle.
For 350 bucks you can power a fully active 3 way set…. Not bad at all… maybe see a Black Friday deal too!!
Damn! I needs this in my life, is this the only brand with a 6channel? Keen to replace my crappy factory speakers with some decent 3ways ( possibly a sub and monobloc later on when cash allows lol )
I've spent about $3k on overthinking and buying for my current system but this amp and 4 of their Meso 6.5" 3-ways are ready for install. Plus a JBL 600w mono and basshub, Hertz H8 for active front stage, soundproofing, all copper 0 gauge double power runs. Mic/REW, and so much more. Considering some cooling options? 🤷♂️ but trying to keep it looking as stock as possible. HU is currently only my old Kenwood with a big ol' KNOB thank you very much (insert joke). Might just keep the rear speakers passively crossed over and use an Alpine KTP445U I have, not sure yet... Whole setup is overkill cuz too much time on Amazon at work and not enough at home ugh. But I wanna do it RIGHT, no janky rigging, as I've DEF done that when I was 18🤣 Truly need to make blueprints so I don't miss a step but she's gonna sound sick whenever I get the time to install it🙄... Would love to see a torture test for this amp tho cuz I'm kinda gambling on it 🤷♂️ Got the speakers first and $800 later they hooked me with their marketing LOL.
What terminals are you using for the power/ground and the speakers connected to the amp?
When u think u can do a amp dyno ?? I like to run it at 2 ohms maybe 4 mids and 2 tweets per door
Could you use that on a system for just the componets on a 4 door car. Or would you have to buy 2? I guess im asking could i run 2 speaker per channel?
Hey meade916 whats better between dc subwoofers level 3 or 4 in 10 & 12" and would it be better than ds18 exl X thanks
I’m wondering what Frequency’s you set the B2’s at. Like each one tweet / mid / etc. I’ve got same set and I can’t figure out where they each need to be at. Or at least around what #
I use an SMD IMSG+ to determine what my speakers like. You can however use the information in the book that will tell you what it is. At least get you close. Then, depending on the speaker you will tune 1/2, 1 or 2 octaves above that number. Usually the tweeters will get 1.5-2 higher and the mids will be 1/2-1 octave. ua-cam.com/video/3yFppmipcrY/v-deo.htmlsi=h4fTJQ8Lk_XoAk5e&t=398
Whats good amp. 4 arnolds 6.5s & 4 neo super tweeters
@meade916 what about running 3 pairs of the CT Sounds Meso 6.5” 3-ways on this 150-6? Using the crossovers included each set of 3-ways couldn’t that give each side of a set it’s own channel? With 2ch per set & having 3 sets that would be 6 channels.
I’m debating doing this to a 1991 single cab Stepside Chevy OBS with that amp & three pairs of those 3ways & a CT sounds ATv2 3000.1D for two JL Audio 13TW5 shallow mount subs that are 3ohm each single voice coil
What’s your opinion is that logic of 3 pairs of 3ways for that 6ch amp wrong?
you could do one of 100 different combo's....whatever your heart desires :D
I miss bumping 😢
Hey i have 2- 4 ohm super tweeters in tha a-pillars, 1 in each door so 6 total, 8-4ohm 6 1/2 in the doors,4-6×9's in the rear deck of my 2007 Toyota Corolla with 2-12" skaraudio on a 2000.1 amplifier what do you recommend on a amplifier or amplifiers to run my mids, highs less amps as possible thanks
Man I need a amp bad ...
Can you do a review on the 150.4 amp? Interested in getting that amp for my 8" sky high mids
I am running the CT-150.4 in my kids vehicles and it has more than enough power to push your 8 inch mids. It runs their 6.5 Meso components and Meso 6.5 coax with plenty of force. I think their Mesos sound great. I am thinking of checking out the Sky High components. How are their midbass and tweeters?
Eu curto teus vídeo no brasil
@meade916- That 3 way set sound's awesome, just free air! How much $ for that 3 way set?
not sure, I've had them for a while. They were going to go in the Caddy but they came out with a newer set while i was building so i switched to those instead :D
👍👍

Please review jl audio jd400/4 amplifier and jl audio c2 component
And rockford fosgate p3 d412
@viveksingla2109- Let me guess, you already have these items?
@@evilinside5984 yeah you guessed it well
probably will never be anything RF on this page ever again. Well other than me taking it out of my vehicles....Sorry man!
@@meade916- Steve, i know you have had RF products for a long time, was there a problem, or issue with there company, that you can elaborate on?
Only 400 $ ?
1st ... bass head role call?
I see you!!!! thanks for checking in Paul!
Fuck I was looking to get one of these earlier this year
can't go wrong with this, i say do it!
@meade916 I will now I appreciate you posting this video there's no other video on UA-cam on this amp
You don't like Down for sound amps?
where did you get that from? Talk about a random comment LOL
AIN'T THAT A LITTLE 2MUCH ON THE TWEETER?
So how do you know when you don't put 150 rms Watts Into Your tweeters
Simple. I normally use VERY LITTLE overlap to get where I want to be and then verify with an AMM-1 if i need to. wccaraudio.com/smd-audio-multimeter-amm-1/
Do you think you could do a video on how you set your crossovers in a 3-way? Like how much overlap, what slopes you use, and how you tweak from there? I bought this amp to go active with infinity kappa 3 ways and from the start they sounded worse but then the car died. I’m using a Dayton audio DSP and I just bought a new car. So I’m planning a new build for this summer and would love a video on tuning an active three way! Especially from you my guy!
Manual says 500x2, this is a misprint? I'm guessing
Yup. I have this amp. It will do 500x3.
150 watts on tweets seems excessive
Passive is more economical
Nobody said you had to put full power on one set of tweets, this thing can drive a couple sets of 3 ways no problem with lots of headroom. You said "economical" LOL Post up a walk around of your system let's see how an economist like you does it.
Send that CT my way 😉
