This bit had me in stitches.
If you procrastinate too much, print out 4:42 on a big poster and put it on the wall. That should generate enough pressure.
Paul Paulson that's brilliant
Honestly, it just turns me on.
@@IslanKleinknecht Yeah, it went directly to my fap folder.
The "do something" marker is the best thing in modern gaming that destroys relationships.
Daniel McMillan we had to make a ‘no banging the do something’ rule. Getting someone to do something was turning violent.
@@killua5676 The rules do not mention to bang it!
@@DrMaquisapaI played on a glass table once. We put napkins for where we put them in front of people
7:45 Amazing sketch. So funny, exactly why I watch you guys.
Notice, that as Quinns puts pressure on Matt at 2:35 to move, neither piece can move north (which is the assigned function of Matt) except orange, but even orange cannot do anything north, as it can neither discover new tiles there, nor access it's target location. Quite devilish Quinns really!
I can literally watch you guys all day. helping me cope with lockdown.
Nice Numberwang reference. Now let's ROTATE THE BOARD!
Been playing homeworld, nice to see the symbol!
The extravagant gag was hilarious!
NOTE for EXPANSION Maximum Security: Save mall tiles #13 to #24 for spares. After seeing how worn the base cards were worn out by one reviewer - scan tiles #1 to #12 print in colour, cut and paste to superseded mall tiles as replacements.
@13:25 that's funny. LOL
Love the review in here. Thanks for the encouraging of getting the expansion. Looking forwards to its 2nd expansion.
"Stop, Quinns"
"Don't stop me now!"
I especially loved the gags in this episode, keep up the good work lads
I like the little camera shake from Quinns' titanic bowtie slamdown attack on the table
I thought the Beholder was a joke at first. I had to check if its actually in the game.
Holzkohlen
Well is it in the game?
@@Alex_K221 yes it is, it is not a mini fig, is also a little bit cartoony which fits perfectly with the other characters.
4:44 this caught me off guard, well done :D
It's funny how essentially the 'best' parts of the game feel like they were held back for an expansion
Are we in an age where DLC has spilled over into the analog?? Lord I hope not.
@@tristan8940 Yes. That age has arrived and has been here for a while.
There should really be a rerelease - base game with no scenarios and dwarf stuff and best aspects of maximum security expansion (guards, cameras, etc). I play this at my local board game cafe and that's all we ever use, could fit into one box, don't want to buy two though to get that experience.
@@RaRa-eu9mw Be glad you don't need to buy a board pass.
I actually quite enjoy the base game, the expansion seems to make it less about fast paced fun and more about adding lots and lots of rules that we'll have to learn and make the game more complicated than it needs to be. Would of course try it if I ever come across it though!
Skarpo agreed. Base game is already tons of fun and a challenge at itself when all tge tiles are added. Let alone the scenarios
I agree that the expansion complicates. I guess your mileage may vary for the base game, and the expansion is there if you want to spice things up. Just the security guard (and vent) and nothing else added would probably be enough to spice it up without too much new to learn. So I can see their point that a thing like that should be in the game to extend its life rather than less inspired extension ideas in the box.
Board games have to have expansions to sell these days. It seems to be in the rules. Like taking content out a videogame to sell as DLC.
The production values have REALLY been beefed up with this video. Keep it going, it's really helping to set you apart from the others.
Best review you guys are done in quite a while I was laughing the number of times great job thanks
If you like this game, you might enjoy `The Mind`.
Briefly: It`s a co-op which features a deck of cards numbered from 1-100. There are a number of rounds depending on the number of players.
In round 1 each player is dealt 1 card, round 2, 2 cards etc. There are 8 rounds in a 4 player game, so each player ends up with a hand of 8 cards in the final round (if you get that far).
All players have to do is to play their card(s) in an ascending sequence: the player with the lowest card(s) plays their card(s) first etc.
There are no turns, so if you`re dealt the 1 and the 2, you`ll want to play both of those together and immediately, whereas if you`ve got, say 98,99,100, well those must be played last.
If you mess up you lose a `life`; lose too many of those and it`s game over. You don`t get many either; only 2 lives in the 2 player game.
There are a couple of other rules; You can gain more lives by completing certain rounds, so you can afford to play out of sequence a couple of times maybe, and there are opportunities for play to be interrupted so all players can play their lowest cards to the table.
But here`s the thing: the entire game is played in complete silence. Worse, ALL communication is forbidden apart from maybe an evil stare.
So imagine round 1 in a 4 player game. Players each have one card to play. Your card is the 19.
What do you do? How long do you wait before playing that card? Get it wrong and you`re a life down already. And it only gets tougher as the game goes on.
Try it, it`s fun :)
Great video. Typically British! You can't figure out if you should play this game or not. I miss the accent.
4:42 gives you the real atmosphere of the game. Thanks.
Those Queen puns in the beginning! ❤️
Yet another game that needs the expansions immediately. I hope they realize that and make a bundle.
Feels like the 'Maximum Security' expansion took some inspiration from 'Burgle Bros.'! That's neat!
The 8:00 mark genuinely made me LOL.
Mate, I've been saying this for year.
And you were the first one ;-)
Thank God I need more shut up sit down in my life. Look forward to every video you guys post.
What happened just before 11:20 that Quinns is now buttoning up his shirt?
13:26 happened
Thanks for the well explained tutorial, guys. Do I need the base game to play Maximum security or the expansion can be played without the base game?
God damn it, now I have to buy the expansion. "Thanks"
I'm thinking the same way but most people I already played it with find it already difficult as is so I'm not sure if increasing even more the difficulty is a good idea x3

Don't stop me now!!!
(WHY didn't you say this it would've fitted PERFECTLY!!!!!)
Just when I thought I couldn't enjoy you guys more, you go and drop a Mitchell and Webb Look reference on me
Looks gr... interesting. I was thinking the same about the theme. I love fantasy theme more than anything but a straight shopping mall game seems like it would be more... consistent. A bit confusing a game too.
Insta-subscribed for numberwang 😆
This sounds like the best British Gentleman simulator ever!!
$20 game? Good luck finding it at that price.
i appreciate the 'you should check out these other games' bit at the end. i was thinking i remember there was a review of a game kinda like this. escape from the curse of the temple was it.
I love this video! 😄😄😆😆😂😂🤣🤣You guys are so funny! I love this game!
I played it once and enjoyed it, but unfortunately we had one player who was much weaker than the rest and tended to panic when everyone started looking at her. I don't think she had a great time with it.
Guest starring Ken Korda 6:05
Oh god, the tiles in the bin....hope it was just dry garbage...
Is it bad that we pound the red token up and down several times in front of a person? lol
madcoder8 I do it all the time. He makes a move, the wrong one, so I bump it again. And this sometimes takes more than 5 times....
I love your guy's videos!
GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!
First use of a Calpol syringe in a board game video.
Piracy with long johns silver and now shopping malls? Which dimension did I step through to end up here?
Magic Maze is the tutorial levels. Maximum Security is the actual game
That’s Numberwang.
The thought that you just left those components in the bin makes me sweat.
soooo... a candidate for The Opener (RIP)?
The theme seems cliche indeed and the design is especially dull, but still you guys make me wanna try this one. Great review!
So it's basically a 40 game If you want the complete game play?
Ivan Hayes I don't have the need for the expansion yet. You can easily get your money's worth out of the base game. I've played about 6 times and just added the 2nd scenario to the mix and i think there are 17 scenarios that add to it. So you'll be fine with the base.
Yes the base game with all tiles is already a pretty big challenge (Play with 4 people for the best experience). Then the multidimensional maze scenario is insanely hard.
Can you still play the basic game with this set?
Numberwang reference on a review published on 4/20
8:17 ......mood
Great review!
However, I was hoping to see a bit of a comparison with the Escape the Curse of the Temple.
Escape somehow seems more pressured to me. Plus, it is possible to just get screwed by the dice at the end, and you can run into Alpha-gamer issues. MM, on the other hand, feels more cooperative, and when you lose you feel like it was your fault.
I...I like elves and dwarves and stuff =(
So what happened to the box? ......... Ooooh. You took it out of the video. Shhhhhh. 🤫🤭
It's $30 not $20. Maybe the exchange rate?
Honestly Matt should feel pretty ashamed for not knowing what Quinns wanted him to do, because there was only one pawn that could move in the direction his card indicated.
Got some serious Mighty Boosh vibes on this one
I'd love a review of Shadespire!
I would've got it for $20, but it's currently $40 on Amazon
You are the Champions...
I JUST got escape curse of the temple and was worried that this was going to be better. Thankfully I don't like the silent game play where everyone needs to know what they are doing or else they get shamed with a red plug in front of them. Interesting concept but I think Escape is better? Big box is a lot more expensive though than both of these.
Mazgul, brilliant.
Looks fun and definitely want to get it. Just doesn’t look like something I’d want to own. Especially since it seems like one of those high stress co-op games.
Isn't this reuploaded?
I have always wanted to be a British gentleman
Numberwang. Oh my, you guys are so British.
10:15 HUUuoooowh
i literary fell off the chair when i saw the bead of sweat
Okay that’s it ! I just have to ask at this point. I really love you guys videos but are you maybe just a bit bias when it comes to games made in the U.K. vs other countries ?
You know your music.
LOL... that's Numberwang!
The theme really is awful. Fantasy heroes in a shopping mall, really? I'd love to see it with a Hitman style theme: get in, kill target, get out!
That was dark.
Fewer*
Eight?!... eight?!... eight?!...
how did they get the rights to a beholder? WOTC cool all of a sudden?
omg....looks like one of those instances where a publisher insisted on changing the designer's theme.....to a shopping mall....ugh
OR the reverse......was a game about shoplifting but the publisher inssted on making them fantasy characters to avoid bad PR?
Why are there always 3-4 buttons undone whenever Quins wears white button up shirts (actually any button up shirt?).
I mean, we all appreciate the fan service but it’s starting to look like his chest is making a run for it.
Do you guys actually play it in silence? Or talk but not about the game. feels weird to have friends round then sit in silence for a long time lol
This_is_ellis A game can only last 15 min max. In between there are couple of times where you can discuss your plan and during the rest of the game there will be people reacting to stupid actions and stumping their own head which makes for nervous laughter throughout. Its epic
Sounds a-maze-ing! Get it? Cuz...the title...(it honestly does sound like a good time though!)
AND THAT'S NUMBERWANG!
And that's Numberwang!
numberwang!
NUMBERWANG!!
One of the worst game I played, without the expansion, to be fair.
Numberwang!
YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ACTUALOL BUT GOOD
Reminds me of x-com... a little
Your face is numberwang.
That's numberwang!
This game looks like crap.
Mr. Cromwell its really fun
NUMBERWANG! 🤣
Numberwang!
