    the REVs really responded well to dropping the airbox and putting K&N filters in place. about 5lbs lighter, more space under hood, cleaner air to the carps/TBs, and no powder bog.

    • @rstead8477
      @rstead8477 2 роки тому +7

      Wow that’s totally wrong!! Why would you want to draw warm air from under the hood?

  • @Lythrox
    @Lythrox 11 років тому +2

    The foam btw has a small amount of foil on it... that foil is aircraft heat shielding... with out it your exhaust will melt you cowl even with all the swiss cheesing you have done, also depending on how the air box is plumed, it can be an air filter. IMO I highly recommend getting Dynomat with foil and putting it back on the exhaust side.

  • @PowerModzOfficial
    @PowerModzOfficial  11 років тому +5

    I'm not going to tell you what to do - but I know what I would do:) Just make sure that the foam isn't acting as heat shielding.

    One thing I've done is on the right side inside the panel there is room to fit two quarts of oil in their containers. Right in front of where he cut out the piece for his boot. You may have to put a simple piece of metal in there to keep them in place. Why pay for oil at gas stations when you can bring your own for the day.

      Good question! If it's not coated with a reflective material then probably not, if is is open cell foam then it is just for sound dampening as far as I know.

    Hello I hope you get this message and can answer my question, on my 2003 MXZ 800 I'll be driving along and it will just lose spark on one side like it fouled the plug but if I keep riding it fast and slow you know I change my Pace my RPM then it will actually come back it doesn't appear to be a spark plug AT ALL because when it comes back it runs perfectly fine like nothing was ever wrong. It pulls the skis right off the ground and it'll ride a wheelie again.

    • @PowerModzOfficial
      @PowerModzOfficial  3 роки тому +1

      new plugs?

    • @jimmiller7361
      @jimmiller7361 3 роки тому

      Yes, but it made ABSOLUTELY no difference at all.. I checked back with old and new plugs, on the trail when this happens there was no difference between all four plugs they all sparked or didn't spark on that one side I forget which side it was.

    My snowmobile is on steroids basically 1997 arctic cat cougar 550 80 hp and 99mph top speed I put a cold air ram intake and a supercharger it has racing primary and secondary clutches it has been geared at a race shop I cut extra hood vents screened everything raised bars plastic skis headlight delete obviously took the 2up seat off and put a single person seat on new front shocks completely new lighter skid rear suspension and 2 inch paddles increased compression cut open muffler took every restrictive thing out welded it back together makes 207hp on a dyno hits 144mph

    and to the person in the video, Does dropping 15lb with 325Kmh tops speeds really necessary? Are you going for the modified world record? Because your going to need a lot more then weight loss to take that, honestly you just wrecked a perfectly good sled imo, and they make Yamahas, Polaris or T cats for that, and if you need 325KMH just drop the engine in and find a freaking chain case, or belt to meshs it up. This is said, for just going out and wrecking a sled in back country for laughs.

    Everything your do is for removing weight but it’s not gonna make your experience better, it’ll make it worse. Removing your headlights makes you not able to drive at night and the only benefit is removing weight but why sacrifice being able to drive whenever you want for some weight?

    • @PowerModzOfficial
      @PowerModzOfficial  6 років тому

      Infront of the meme the sled weighs 447 pounds trust me it is awrsome....and i dont drive at night i dont enjoy driving at night. it also has probably the best suspension ever made...and it is 20 or more pounds lighter than stock.
