    My gf is Marshallese and black and her mother was born there and she lived a good chunk of her life in Kwaj and Majuro. Im pretty sure her grandmother was from Ebeye. A lot of her family and other Marshallese people moved to Oklahoma and Arkansas to find work and better opportunities. I plan to go with her really soon to see her cousins graduation in Majuro!

      Lived on Kwaj. Even as a teen, I wondered how they would survive. NOT because of climate but because of losing the old-school survival techniques. On a trip to Ebeye, I saw first hand how they survived.....it wouldn't last, I thought, unless all generations understand how to really survive off the land after the Bikini island chaos. Live in peace, folks....learn to live in what is true peace.

    My grandparents were kids when asked to move from bikini atoll. They have all passed away. I’ve heard that they were asked to move off the island. But I grew up in Hawaii and from my Hawaiian history that I grew up being taught that’s not the way the U.S does things. My home was and still is being used as a experiment by the U.S. now they know what their nuclear weapons are able to do. I would rather wake up and live off the island. But no I am here working for the Wicked living pay to pay. My home will soon be gone due to an experiment. Global warming is not controlled. It only gets worse.

      Don't buy into the Global Warming due to CO2 BS. It's getting warmer because of the Suns expansion. The Sun ''pulses'' i.e. expands and contracts. It will soon go back to a contraction phase. Humans cannot influence the atmosphere to that extent. It's a lie created by the Elite to tax the planet more than they already do. More tax more control.

    actually marshall island isn't an island. these lands are "atol". this situation makes them so special.
    a hundred years ago, before some tectonic movements, a volcano birth in the bottom of the sea. the laws become bigger than bigger and reach top of the sea. like a cake with full of chocolathe. after that, this laws getting cold and became a land. this is very special coral lands. the middle of the atols are shallow sea because of this volcanos movements. exactly like a pancake.
    but, the all atol have some risk, some scientist saying "if there is a big earthquake, all islanders will be drowned from tsunami." because all atols is on the fault line.
    the fault line birth the all atols, and one day, same fault line will kill the all islanders.

    • @danstun8567
      @danstun8567 5 років тому +14

      Ricky, you really need to check yourself. Our country bombed them with nuclear bombs, one bigger then the one we used on Japan. This wasn't right. This alone would devastate any country, not alone a small one like this. They had no way to recover from this. We destroyed their land, their homes, their people, their livelihood. And what do they get in return? Free pass to come live and work here, but no rights of citizenship?
      This isn't like the idiots that decide to live on the coast of say Florida and cry about a hurricane destroying their home and act like they can't believe that ever happened to them.
      Your a complete idiot if you believe what you wrote. But we have done very little for these people after destroying them like this.
      These people do see the damage caused by environmental damage we are doing. They are trying to do something about that. Trying to get people to see that we are damaging our planet. They are living proof of this. And the US getting out of the treaty is huge. Trump has cared less about the environment. All these laws and regulations in place to protect the environment and reduce the damage we are doing are crumbing away and being removed why a self centered person in office that cares only about himself.
      You sit here and cry about being taxed to death, but you do nothing about it but blame others. How about you educate yourself, apply yourself, and work on improving your conditions instead of crying about it and blaming others. We all live in this world together. Not everything is going to be tailored to your wants and desires. Other people have theirs as well that probably differ from yours. It's called compromise.
      It must be so easy to blame things on fake news, fake science, fake this or that simply because you don't want to accept something for face value. No one is getting rich saying theirs climate change, I don't know where you get this idea from.
      But since you believe its fake science, please provide your proof and evidence of this as their is a great amount of actual proof and evidence showing that climate change is real. This is just one piece of evidence.

They were put here by the guilty American government. God bless the marshall island people. I've met and talked to many . And I hold back from crying from sadness and horror that these people went through. Their homelands and sacred sites and burial sites all desecrated. They told me stories of their relatives that seen the white ash falling and played with it like snow. These people get blamed for thefts and corruption. They are hard working , kind , loving people. I am ashamed to be white skinned and to be American. I can't believe our government bombed these innocent people and experimented on them. The women that had babies were delivering blobs of breathing flesh they called them jellyfish. A ball of mutated flesh breathing. I'm crying as I type this. It saddens me deeply. What President Trump thinks is irrelevant. It is what the people here think as far as adopting a DO IT FOR YOURSELVES stance, as far as applying a confident, coordinated and cruise controlled application, whereby, the attitude remains to get smart and go with a positive mental approach to weaving the problem into a realistic solution.
      And also readers, coming from a non political arena, an honest Christian is going to tell you, to GET OUT OF VICTIM MODE. I am joyous to extend the knowledge that this is not insurmountable !
      It's because of civilians, like these, that I extend an assurance of my honest care and honesty. The rest must remain self determined, otherwise, for me personally, I must remain with trusting in these people's ability to receive my generous submission.

      Most of the climate change affects are apparently from water melting in the North pole. Ever put an ice cube in a glass of water then wait for it to melt? Does the glass overflow with water? No. You know why? Even displacement. Water while it condenses forms crystals as ice which traps air molecules. The melting water will not overflow the glass because the ice displaces the water too much to begin with so the melting water will simply fill the spot the ice cube was in. This means the North Pole which is a sheet of ice not on continental land which floats on water could completely melt and the water all over the world would not raise by a single cm. Ice that does not exist in the North Pole that melts might not be so favorous of consistent water levels. I would agree that this is most likely much more because of erosion than climate change as an educated answer. Still it sucks for these people. We bomb the hell out of their country but we can't go help them out when their islands are disappearing under the ocean? Pathetic.

    • @wlink639
      @wlink639 Рік тому

      Some of the older atolls age millions of years, I think it might take a lot of time for them to erode. Global climate and sea levels change faster, it would happen without human impact on Earth eventually, just slower.

    The Marshallese have been welcomed in the US, shielded from the hoops that other immigrants must jump through. While none of them have yet chosen to leave their home, the US's decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement was beneficial to our economy, and in turn, it enables us to provide refuge, home, and community to them. Yes, the US has contributed the most amount of money to the agreement, but it is only fair that we continue to provide them with support and refuge in exchange. Despite the agreement, Mother Nature will eventually reclaim her island, regardless of who it belongs to. Therefore, we urge the Marshallese to seek alternative options: America, or another country, as they are their only options. We are here for them, and we will never let them down. Despite us making decisions which they may not agree with, such as using their home as a weapons testing ground, we have never stopped helping them. Now, they have some tough choices ahead of them, but we will not abandon them in their time of need.
