Thank you Laura and Proven Winners....this is one of my favorite of Laura's container plantings.
Can you plant a lemon tree in a aqua planter? I live in Las Vegas, lemon trees and container lemon trees do great here. However, I over water or sometimes underwater my containers. I over worry doing it wrong. I love your site. Your beyond a amazing teacher. Thank you, I have learned so much from you. My daughter lives outside Boise in Middleton. I’m one day hoping to head your way and stop by your families nursery. But first I’m taking my daughter to the places where you and your mom have lunch. Wishing great blessing to your sweet family. Toni Allen
Really appreciate how honest and genuine you were about the whole experience 👍
Thanks for explaining how the Aqua Pot works. I've never known on any. Purples and greens are my favorite combinations. They glow during sunset! Looks nice!
Beautiful pots , beautiful plants , beautiful Laura
This is absolutely gorgeous! I hope I can get the exact combination to use on my front porch as well. What a stunning welcoming display! Thank you!
I could swear you planted some of that crested fern under the tree along the sidewalk beside your house last year. Beautiful combination.
I have two aqua pots for my back patio. I will definitely be getting one like this for the entry to my home. I love the plants you selected and the aqua pots!!
So glad you did this today because I sent you an email asking how you liked this self watering pot. I'm a new subscriber to Garden Answer (May 2020), so I didn't see your 2016 (?) Video with the inventor of the system 😀
I have been following Jack and I am so glad for this video. I will be purchasing 3 aquapots. You explained it so nice, thank you Laura. Your arrangement came out beautiful.
The aquapod is very beautiful I love the combination of the flowers and the colour is beautiful
Jenny, Gardening with Creekside, loves these.
Love the hosta and the fern!
Oh goodness, what a gorgeous planter. Wish I had your eye for plant combos. Love this planter it will be beautiful when it begins to grow & flushes out. Can't wait for the updates. TYFS! STAY SAFE & GOD bless.
Real pretty and peaceful.. certainly have the look of Easter..love that fern
Gorgeous!!!
Stunning!
So beautiful colours so lovely flowers & I love the pot 😊😃.
Thank you for sharing this video so beautiful and wonderful flowers 😃
After watching you lift the pot onto the porch, I was thinking you could really use a stair dolly. They have 6 wheels which rotate to go up and down any steps. The one we use at work is rated to 500lbs. They really come in handy!
Where to get it
@@janiepecka4561 Amazon has several to choose from, as well as some large tool stores. Look up "stair climbing hand trucks"
Love the purple vibe of plants very interesting with the green hosta in a container situation! Very nice. TY love it!
Love all the plants you chose💜. The fern is gorgeous 💜💜💜
Beautiful combo and container. I'm always impressed by what you do. Thanks as always and I'm so looking forward to spring and planting and Aqua pots!
Very attractive arrangement.
Beautiful arrangement as always
This is a great mix of plants.
Lovely! I think I would add a trailing plant as well. Love the colors!!!
Amazing pot and plant selection for color and texture combination. Laura does such a wonderful job promoting Proven Winners' products. Her personality and presentation style is so compelling.
Love Laura from Garden Answer and I really liked this combo of plants in the aquapot! Beautiful!
Beautiful!
Your pot looks wonderful and colorful arrangement. You always do a great job. I love watching your videos. They are very helpful. Love your family
Love these pots! Wish I could purchase them in Canada. Hopefully Proven Winners will ship over the border one day soon 🙂👍✌
Visit our website and use the Find a Retailer tab to locate stores in your area that carry our plants, these should all be available in Canada, it will depend on what you preferred store has ordered...we do not decide the availability for any garden center. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful arrangement! I have 2 aqua pots and they are so amazing and grow the most beautiful plants with little to no fuss.
isn't it early to plant outside?
So pretty.
Love the textures and color! Looks so good on your front porch!❤️
Love the pot you used, think I should check those out before I started planting up pots to go beside my front for. Love your choice of plants, beautiful tones and contrasting foliage. 😍
Beautiful. You will need to remove the plants and empty the reservoir before freezing temperatures hit...either that or move it into a warm space to overwinter.
Love the plants 🪴Now can't wait have great spot for them
Beautiful combo Laura! I’m going to copy you.😉
Gorgeous! Love that fern!
That’s beautiful! those blooms have the prettiest perfume scent from the hostas! God bless.
Thanks for sharing
Ma'am
Wow absolutely beautiful combination! I am copying this recipe! And ordering that aqua pot! Thank you
I have 2 aqua pots from last year and live in Houston, TX. filled these weekly with water and they did great all season. Hoping for more design options this year.
Keep watching, we expect more to be in stock soon. Also look on our website via the Find A Retailer tab to find stores in your are who carry our AquaPots.
I wonder if @provenwinners sells the insert part separately. Beautiful arrangement!! I love the Hosta.
I also live in Houston and I bought a very large aqua pot last summer. I put it in a place where I wanted a rose bush but the soil is terrible. I filled it about once a week. The rose bush is beautiful and it's about the only thing that survived the big freeze last week!
@@mariafolch8067 Maria, we do not because they would not work in any other containers. With AquaPots the insert sits on a small rim on the inside of the pot, the two pieces are a unit that can only work together. Thanks for asking.
@@ProvenWinnersUA-cam So, what happens if the insert breaks? Do we need to buy a new pot?
I love hostras I live in Switzerland and they grow here with no problems
I absolutely love purple flowers and this arrangement is so pretty!!
Cut the hosta bloom?!?! Scandalous!! 😆. We love our hosta blooms in zone9.
Love the fern. I'm going to look for one of those.
Very pretty
Please be with me
The Aqua Pot is beautiful but terribly expensive: website says $209! The perennial arrangement looks stunning, as usual. Thanks Laura!
A beautiful combination!
Great video. So excited for spring!
Beautiful combination!
I agree it looks beautiful!
i do real good starting seeds, but absolutely drop the ball fertilizing. my stuff is organized, but no one place to put everything together, so i tend to forget the fertilizers since they are in a different place.
Love the whole thing! You make it look so easy!
So pretty 🦋
That is a beautiful combination😊❣️🥰
Oh my goodness absolutely fell in love with this arrangement the textures and colors are diverse and so beautiful together. Will the violas last all through your summer? Coming from Albuquerque NM and our climates are very similar.
No, the violas will only enjoy cool weather, they will not look very good one the heat sets in.
stunning
Please be with me
Love this combination, I want to look into getting this!
Perfect! I will be making that combo! Thank you for sharing!
I'm not sure where I got my crested fern but it's been a stellar performer! Mine does have deeper roots than other ferns but it's overwintered in a big pot in N. Georgia for several years.
Cyclamen would be pretty in that mix too, set high to prevent rot.
Looking over your shoulder as you're planting, are those salvia's blooming behind you? Are those dug out of the garden to overwinter and they're flowering again because it's warm in there? Or are they new ones and if they are new, what will their bloom cycle be like when you plant them out this year if they're blooming right now?
Do you add the two scoops of fertilizer every time you fill the reservoir?
Can you time how long before the over flow spills. 😊You just addressed the solution! Thanks!
This is beautiful Laura, thank you. How can you tell when the water reservoir is empty?
This page on our website answers this question, there is an overflow valve, so there is no worry of ever overwatering... www.provenwinners.com/aquapots
Love Laura!
Love the color combination. I am definitely interested in what you think of the self watering after a few months use.
New Gardner in Ohio. Love the color variation.
Motivates me to up my container game!
Beautiful!!
Gorgeous combination, that fern would look good in my garden around my hydrangeas. Will be looking for some this year.
Absolutly beautiful combination of texture and colour. Research is so easy with you. You’re the best.
So you left the label on the disc?
i thought you had planted that crested fern last year? i remember because after you put them in i went out and got a few ??
Love the arrangement but how do you know when to add more water in the aqua pot?
This page on our website will answer this question, thank you! www.provenwinners.com/aquapots
Love the combination, isn't it a little early for the spring plants? Jack Frost is still alive and well in NE KS and you are farther north still. Unless this was going inside your sun porch. Confused. I find myself doing a walk though at the garden center here just to see a bit of color and green. Thanks for posting and looking forward to the next one.
We have people watching our video from Florida up to Canada, hoping to inspire everyone for when spring arrives in their area.
Lovely.. 💕💕💕 even though you have been given the all clear, that one was a little much even without the water.....just take it lovingly from a great grandmother who has done similar things in the past....and learned bro regret "some" things physically.....do you and Aaron have a dolly that it could have slider onto and Aaron pull it up the steps one at a time with you just making sure it stayed balanced on the dolly......or plant it up on the porch? Women's innards are not like men's, but you can also get a hernia or two
Think this was from last year, but I could be wrong!
It looks like this was filmed last spring before she was pregnant!
Hi Laura I absolutely love that pot do you think you could grow A little vegetable garden in that? I have a very small space and I want to grow some vegetables this year do you think that would work and which vegetables do you think would work best in it. thank you love you guys
Hi there Linda, Laura does not answer the questions on our UA-cam channel, but yes, you could plant a few veggies in that, perhaps something like our Amazel Basil and Goodhearted tomato plants, or a green pepper plant? Keep in mind you want to use the plants that will stay on the shorter side, here is a link to basic information and another link to a few containers we have done like this, beauty.provenwinners.com/proven-harvest/ and www.provenwinners.com/container-gardening/container-recipes/search?keys=basil&field_seasons_value_many_to_one=All&field_combination_style_nid=All&field_pot_size_value_op=%3D&field_pot_size_value%5Bvalue%5D=&field_pot_size_value%5Bmin%5D=&field_pot_size_value%5Bmax%5D=&field_color_scheme_type_nid=All&field_light_level_nid=All&field_plant_genus_nid=All&field_plant_series_nid=All&title=
I am always nervous about so many (big) plants in one pot. Is this number of plants what makes it look gorgeous in a few weeks?
Keep in mind this is a short term planting, with the goal to move the perennials to the landscape when the ground is warm enough.
How will you know when it is time to fill the reservoir again. We are gone to the camper quite a bit in the summer and am thinking these pots would be great with my watering problems.
Depending on several variables, you can go anywhere from a week to three weeks without adding water to the container, this page has more information for you, www.provenwinners.com/aquapots
Laura, how do I now when to add water to the pot. ??? Thank you. Bennie
This page on our website should help, thank you! www.provenwinners.com/aquapots
Are you past your last frost? Can you start planting these plants outside even if there's a chance of cold snaps still to come? I'm in the opposite corner of the country (Atlanta, GA) but trying to determine when to get started with plants this year.
Best to ask this question at your local garden center. With the weird weather the south has had this year you might want to wait until April 1.
Beautiful combination of plants. Nice pot! Can it be left out all winter in cold climates? I don’t like to have to dismantle my pots. I don’t have storage space for them.
This page will answer your question, www.provenwinners.com/aquapots
Wow nice performance boss
I assume this video is entirely sponsored by Proven Winners? I know how much you like all your concrete pots so this is kind of weird. I do love the plant combination for sure and will look fore those this year in my garden center. Thank you
Are these ceramic pots freeze proof? Or, will they need to be moved indoors in the winter months?
This page on our website answers this question and others. Thanks for watching, www.provenwinners.com/aquapots
Wow! Isn’t it too early to plant? We live in Chicago and we have snow on the ground.
In Laura's area these are hardy plants, so ok to plant now, but not for everyone!
How often do you refill the reservoir?
As needed, this depends on many factors, the size of the container, the temperature outside...the good thing is you can never overfill it since it does have a small overflow valve. The typical refill can be from 2-3 weeks, this page will tell you more, www.provenwinners.com/aquapots
I love the grouping, it would be beautiful in my partially wooded back yard! Can't wait for nurseries to get plants in, trees are in so won't be long for perennials. 👏👏😁👍👍💕💕
When using the aqua pot do I still need to using aqua pot do I still need to use water soluble fertilizer during the season.
Sherry Dart
One of the best things about this system is you can mix in some water soluble plant food in the AquaPot so the plants are getting a continuous amount of food. But yes, the plants still need 'fed' with consistent watering.
Is having such a large property overwhelming to take care of?
With the irrigation system installed, and a few people who help out part time it is manageable.
How can you tell when to add more water to resevoir?
This page will help answer your question, thanks for watching! www.provenwinners.com/aquapots
Do you still water the plants regularly even if the reservoir has water in it?
No, the pot takes care of itself, perfect when you are going away for a week's vacation!
Do you ship to Europe, or are you USA only?
We need plant companies like yours over here, across the ocean. 🙂
Please visit this website regarding our plants in Europe, our group is only responsible for North America, www.lakeshoreathleticservices.com/contact/employment-opportunities/
Apparently the deer ate all my hostas over the fall and winter. Any PW recommendations? Also I love the PW bubblegum and white Super petunias. Is there a red?
We do have a Supertunia Red, but with the hostas, and all other plants the deer and rabbits might munch on, personal experience leads me to recommend Plantskydd spray. It is not topical, it is systemic, meaning it does not wash off. It actually changes the taste of the plant. Apply at the signs of new growth in the spring. So with a hosta it would be the shoots, taller shoots, new leaves, full leaves, etc. And once the plant is flushed out you might need to come back to spray once every month. I have found the spray to be more effective than the granules. A bit gross, but totally organic.
@@ProvenWinnersUA-cam is there a particular name for the red supertunias? I will look for them. The bubblegum was gorgeous last summer. I had many compliments which I should pass on to you since it was your UA-cam video that I watched, so Big Thanks!
I will try to locate the stuff for Hosta’s.
@@connieolson8497 Supertunia Red is not as vigorous as Supertunia Vista Bubblegum, but will still be pretty in the landscape or containers.
@@ProvenWinnersUA-cam Thank you
Love the container. But isn’t this a old video from last yr. ?? Though I saw before ❤️❤️
Yes it is Bet, you would have seen that on Laura's channel.
So what.... she's just had a baby....and is up nites. Give her a chance folks
😊❤️
👋😄
👍🏻🤗
the pot costs $200. I figure the plants would run me around $50-$100. Add in the cost of a bag of soil and fertilizer, if you don't have any on hand; this one pot is certainly not applicable to the average home gardener!
