- Good Game, Awesome Music. Final Boss designed by a Monkey. It was way too hard. Or maybe I suck. (For me was a bit tougher because I completed the game with mouse and keyboard)

This in Spirit Tracks and Skyward Sword's relationships between Link and Zelda are my favourites in the series due to how much of a presence it is through the whole game.
Right?! its like theyre actual buddies, partners, friends, co-op!
Same goes with Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom since this version of Link and Zelda have the best relationship. Even there are hints/suggestions like Kass’s final song about Zelda love to her knight is what awakened her powers.
I would love to see a remake of this one
I’d love This, Phantom Hourglass and Wind Waker in switch like what the N-Sane trilogy did for Crash Bandicoot
@@creampuff1980 I had the same idea too! It's nice to know that some people share the same thoughts!
@@randomteen678 Yeah, it could be the Toon Link trilogy or something!
@@creampuff1980 That would be amazing to see one day.
Hd remaster is enough
IM SO HAPPY THEY HELD HANDS IM CRYING 😭😭😭
It was the end of that timeline so they can finally rest
Not only is the up-rez amazing, but dam people really need to play Spirit Tracks you forget just how good of a game it was, felt so much nostalgia watching this
hey maybe if they hadn't made it so dependent on the touch screen it actually would've been popular I guarantee it
Ah, to be a kid again, when your only worries were school and chores! 😊
Oof I just thought about this game's 10th anniversary coming this december, and revisited it on an emulator. And gosh dang this game deserves a remake xD this is an awsome game, the story, the way Zelda actually seems like a character and is involved in the story, and it actually makes sense for them to hold hands in the end because in this game they actually went on the journey together.
A remake would be great, because this game has so much potential buried under an avalanche of technical problems, including frequent heavy frame rate drops, but goofy, unreliable and janky controls above all. Controls and ridiculously bad fast travel really hurt my experience significantly. A remake addressing these issues would make it a very satisfying Zelda game, no doubt.
@@lloydaran yeah, what my biggest problem was is the breathing in to make music thing. It just stopped working and I can no longer play LOL
The best Zelda in a Zelda game hands down. Not only she's your companion, she proactively helps with the fights ahead of Link. And even caps off with doing paperwork when the work is done. A great break from tradition hands down.
Byrne's last word before his body is passed on to Zankei: Change the world. My final message - Goodbye.
22:18 on this picture there are the two best secondary characters of zelda
Rupee and green jar of course.
I cried when Staven/Byrne died
His dead was very sad 😔 he didn't deserve to die
Don't worry, he'll be back
@@zeldaenby224 we shall not see him, but he will be back
I didn’t. I Smiled when it happened!
But not the same
What I like most about this ending is not only it makes link and zelda feel like actual equals, but the gods admitting that humanity has the potential to be better off with out them. Contrast this with ocarina of time where the gods do jack shit, zelda just a damsel, etc.
hey, zelda was a fucking ninja for half of ocarina of time, she wasn’t exactly a damsel in distress, she did get kidnapped at the end but ganondorf was also wielding the triforce of power and didn’t see link as strong or important enough to kidnap. That’s right, he was more wary of Zelda than of Link. and yeah the gods didn’t do shit you’re right on that count (unless you count the spells i guess, as din’s fire, nayru’s love, and farore’s wind all draw power from their namesake goddesses)
@@hawks-wingsZelda was a ninja but did jack shit and fuck all throughout the entirety of OoT
Alternate reply: game wasn't woke and forced strong females down your throat back then, males are useless
Your sick
Damsel > "equals"
We need more damsels in modern entertainment. Makes for better and higher quality stories and settings.
And no, Link still does most of the work and zelda essentially plays the "mage" archetype, same as she did in ocarina.
Even as someone who likes the zelda of ST; you're delusional.
@@schnek8927 Yo what do you think abouit the new LoZ game announced today
21:17 don’t be scared
21:20 I’m here for you
21:27 together forever
Spirit Track's cell shading held up well with high res.
The final boss and ending is what BOTW wishes it was. ST is the best ending of any Zelda game so far. Zelda pushing the sword in with Link, then just holding Link's hand is just absolutely ugh chef's kiss.
I just beat the game for the first time and I noticed the different endings if you choose warrior or engineer. That's awesome
9:57 this has to be the craziest piece of music I have ever heard. Instills a lot of fear into you.
This was my first Zelda game I ever played. I was so excited for it cause I loved playing my old ds. I cannot say with words how much happiness this video gives me with Nostalgia.
same, I still have my lime DS lite and can still play spirit tracks
Same for me, this very much needs a remake on the switch
Same, I should still have my 3ds around somewhere, I have revisited this game throughout but a remake would be awesome
6:40 history repeats itself
My childhood dreams have been reborn in 4k
I always loved this ending for the adult timeline. The old Hyrule made its mark but has been moved on from. Link and Zelda get the chance to move on and keep making things better. The finality of it all...
6:45 beginning of the best moment
I remember this was the first game I ever got on Nintendo ds back in 2009 and I still play it to this day
Nice. It is a lovely game.
@@PietroSoft I’ll say. I’ve been meaning to play it lately.
This brings back childhood memories. The first Legend of Zelda game I saw.
8:37 Ow...
real ow
I love this zelda game, i do wish there was at least someway this was remade, like links awakening hd.
I hope not the same art style though 😬
@@MrKevosmin why don't you like ST's art?
I miss this game🥲
6:40 WHAT DID SHE JUST SAY?
Botw not so original anymore
Just kidding
🤯
Breath of the Wild/Age of Calamity/Tears of the Kingdom Zelink will always be my favorite, but this iteration will always be my favorite of kid-Link and kid-Zelda. Plus, Zelda in this game had so much screen time and growth that I felt like her and Link actually developed a close bond. Would love to see this remade someday
I kept on wearing my recruit’s uniform for the final boss and taking on the Tower of Spirits for the final time to retrieve the Compass of Light. Anyways, well done. The adult timeline is done. This follows The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass.
This was my first Zelda. Ive been playing it on/off since i was about 6 or 7. Despite that tho I've never actually beaten it
I finally did a full playthrough over the past few days, and fuck man, i love this game so much. And this finale is absolutely amazing
Damn so nostalgic.
I gotta be honest this was fairly balanced final boss i mean the first phase was hard because deflect malladus attacks while zelda takes more than forever to charge her power and apparently zelda and link share a heart bar
I kinda wish to have this Outfit in Tears of the Kingdom
If Nintendo remastered this game along with phantom hourglass and bundled them together
You see every other Zelda game (especially you Breath of the Wild) this is how you do a Link Zelda dynamic right. She’s with you the entire game and actually freaking helps instead of just being there in spirit (not sorry). She also in the end she not only fires the bow of light but helps deal the final blow. Why we’ve never seen another Link and Zelda dynamic like this I don’t understand. All concluding in quite possibly the best music in the entire franchise including spin-offs like Hyrule Warriors. This is how it should be it’s the Legend of Zelda yet rarely does she have more than a couple of cameos.
Oh my god! My eyes! That looks like a total remaster 😄
Thanks for making this ❤
Haha I do agree about your description, if we count all the 5 phases this is one of the hardest final boss of the entire franchise (even though it's epic AF).
When I did it as a kid I struggled a lot to do it, especially in the part where you have to protect Zelda, but when I finally did it it was the most satisfying thing ever.
I replayed the game a few month ago on emulator (with a mouse then), and I finished the final boss fairly quickly and easily. It is really about knowing the right method and techniques.
I don't think it means it has been designed5by a monkey tho xD. It is important for a final boss to be challenging, and IMO it is the right amount of both technicality and ingéniosity (meaning understanding the patterns or finding tactics is rewarded, but at its base it is still mechanically demanding, even with the original Stylus).
Edit : haha you are quite struggling on the music part but it still worked out.
Little tip : their is a metronome you can hear that's beating the bar in the music section. Your turn to play here is every 4 beat, when the note of the metronome changes.
I know this comment is ten months old, but do you know what emulator you used to play it? I've been wanting to play spirit tracks but I can't find an emulator to play it 😅
I looked up the ending because the last fight was the last straw for me, I got so fed up with the touch controls and the flute lol
I love how this game is actually easier on purpose so a younger audience could enjoy it without getting overwhelmed by the difficulty... I mean, even Phantom Hourglass was kinda hard with the concept of the hourglass in the Sea Temple and some levels in it... At least it's how I felt when I used to play PH as a kid, while when I played ST, I finished the game quite easily!
Had quite a bad time with the temple of the ocean king on PH. And playing as an adult.
@@PietroSoft yeah right ?? I actually tried it again last year and didn't touch it again since then... But ST, I finished it like 3 times (counting the one time as a kid) and I just love the OST so much, and having Zelda by our side is sooo enjoyable
The flute thing is hard
Ngl, this boss fight theme is one of the best ost of all time
Ahh yes my first ever Zelda game, great times
SO SMOOOOOTH
I also love the theme
Wow, this looks amazing, Thanks for uploading, Hope you don't mind ill use a few seconds in a video, will give you proper attribution though
After watching this video my pc was about to overheat
You sure know what is the CPU cost to run DesMuMe in this mode. I used a 5960X @ 4.5ghz and still got slowdowns from time to time.
@@PietroSoft I'd hate to know what the kind of CPU would be required for a stable framerate for DesMuMe be like. Even without the 5960X treatment.
@@randomteen678 Well, it depends. If you want to get something like this video (4 times the original resolution + texture filtering) you will need a strong cpu. If you run the game at native resolution, with the native textures you can go with 2 fast cores.
@@PietroSoft So that's why DesMuMe is so slow on a laptop! Even without touching the graphic settings, putting frameskip to 5, and playing New Super Mario Bros., it still was slow! At least I now know that the laptop's CPU was at fault.
@@randomteen678 Yeah. DS Emulation on Windows is a mess. You can emulate 3DS way easier than DS. We got stuck with DeSmuME on Windows, and it is so badly optimized, it uses a ton of CPU resources. Because of the high CPU requirements you dont see a lot of vids, like this one. I used for this vid, 8 cores at 4.5ghz, 32GB of RAM, and a GTX 980... and still got slowdowns with these settings.
Would be cool to see the demon train fight though :/
this is how the game always looked like to me
My father bought me this game, since he loves trains . And i freaking lost it. 😭
Best couple,link and zelda
I just finished this game, its so amazing. How to change your clothes btw
It's a lovely game. Get 15 stamps for Niko.
Also, you can get the swordsman scroll 2 to learn the great spin attack if you get 20 stamps. I kept my recruit’s uniform on for the final boss and taking on the Tower of Spirits for the final time.
Great game. But man. Lots of trains. 😆
I would like to make a new vid of this Zelda. With this quality. But I cant get the speed to a level that I would like with the processor I have right now (i7 5960X 4.5ghz) during the recordings. I need a new processor. Desmume is such a badly optimized emulator.
have you tried MelonDS? idk how it is with zelda, but i can run pokemon black 2 at 16x native res (native is:256x192, and at 16x the res is:4096x3072) and it works flawlessly with no slowdowns on my i7-9700kf cpu.
@@mr.gingerbread1194 Oh, didn't notice that emulator had a version for Windows. I'll give it a look.
@@PietroSoft i just tried it and on those settings in the beginning area it worked fine!
@@mr.gingerbread1194 The emu runs the game fine, but even enabling upscaling it doesnt look razor sharp like Desmume, can you get this quality ua-cam.com/video/Vx-IUq1mYdE/v-deo.html with 5X?
@@PietroSoft yeah no.. it seems desmume on 4x is way sharper than melonds on 16x even, maybe its a different and better (albeit more taxing) method that melon uses. I guess for graphical fidelity definetely go with desmume then.
8:59 ok so what’s this theme called
Need it for my music playlist
Its Byrne's death theme. ua-cam.com/video/K_1ZFWHZ6G8/v-deo.html
I can't help but think Zelda's eyes are eye shaped stickers that she sticked on her eyeless face lmao
You could say the same for Link. Their eyes are floating textures on top of their face.
@@PietroSoft yeah but Zelda's was more noticable because of how big her eyes are...
@@EnigmaLazuli Yeah, fair.

Can someone tell me what emulator is used here? I'm searching for a way to capture old ds games without it's rasterization...
Well, i can. I used the latest version of DeSmuMe. Not the one you see on the official website. You can find that one here: ci.appveyor.com/project/zeromus/desmume/build/artifacts
You can also check my settings here: imgur.com/a/mT8BAQP be aware that gpu upscaling uses a ton of CPU.

Nah.
@@PietroSoftreally you are
@@Chelsey_ Alright, I'll believe you. Thanks.
I've retried it recently and i can't for the life of me get the last flute song. I did it perfectly much better than here and it still won't accept it. Screw this game
Maybe if you used the same sound sample things would had gone better. I never used a microphone. Just got a sound sample and pressed a button in the flute parts.
Wait, are those updated music samples?
Nope. But I remember tuning the audio to get a tad better quality on the emulator.
Thank You Jesus And Mary, Praise The Lord Amen.
17:12 Sparks
i only came for the sacred duet xD
what did you use for the controlls?
Keyboard and mouse.
For i second i thought this comment was on the Skyward Sword vid, in which i had to use a bit of a complex configuration of joystick + keyboard to complete the game haha.
@@PietroSoft hahah thx I thought u used something different for this because with mouse and keyboard I can't controller that easily especially when fighting. Thx anyway!
@@MasterHyrulegamer At first that happened to me. But with the time i got the hang of it. And keep in mind that by the time i completed this one, i already had completed Phantom Hourglass, with the same keyboard and mouse. So i had the skill already when i started Spirit Tracks.
@@PietroSoft oh okk! Thanks!
How did you play this game in such a high resolution? Citra?
Citra cant emulate NDS. By the time I recorded this video, I used a beta version of Desmume that supported GPU Upscaling. That version is not available to everyone. But, that emulator demands a strong CPU if you want to run games fluently and at high resolution.
l was phantom hourglass
Remake the game you cowards
can you please tell me how you made it so HD
Sure, just go here ci.appveyor.com/project/zeromus/desmume/build/artifacts Download the latest version of Desmume, in the emulator you go to config -> 3D settings -> GPU Scaling factor, use 2 if you have a low end CPU, or if you have a powerful 8 core, you can go up to 4 or 5. The results are awesome, check out ua-cam.com/video/Vx-IUq1mYdE/v-deo.html
But its very cpu intensive. Good luck.
You can also check my settings here: imgur.com/a/mT8BAQP

@@PietroSoft it wont work, would you be able to help me?
@@MaeCadamia Well, of course, check my previous comment with the visual c installer.
How do you make a version like this? (or where do you download it?)
You need a DS emulator capable of resolution upscaling. The latest versions of DeSmuME can do it, but they use a lot of CPU resources. If you have a strong CPU, give a try. In this comment section, check my response to a comment asking me how i "made it so HD".
