Final Boss: Malladus | Zelda: Spirit Tracks 100% Walkthrough "46/49" (No Commentary)

- In this part, we take on the Final Boss of the game, Malladus.
We start by entering the Dark Realm and encounter quite a few Armored Trains. While in the Dark Realm we will find Tears of Light on the tracks that we can run into to collect. These will give us super speed if we use our whistle and with super speed we can destroy the Armored Trains (kinda like Pac-Man).
Once all of the trains are destroyed, we end up fighting the Phantom Train itself. The first section has us using the cannon to shoot the bombs before they get dropped from the train to blow up the bomb loaders. Once all four loaders are gone we move to the next car with lasers and do the same thing. With the final car, we shoot the lasers, then move up and shoot the face until it's destroyed (If you hear the Phantom Train's whistle, hit the brakes and change tracks as soon as you can).
There will be an intermission here and you can answer Zelda's question to choose which ending you'll get.
The next phase has us fight Malladus and Cole. You'll want to move Zelda to Malladus, while keeping the rats Cole summons away from her. If Cole hits her, he'll possess her and you'll have to use the boomerang to free her. Once you reach Malladus, shoot him with a Light Arrow to move on.
Afterwards, you'll have to protect Zelda by swiping away the fireballs Malladus attacks with until Zelda is ready. This will go on forever until you fully protect her.
After the Spirit Flute section, you'll have to distract Malladus enough with Link, so that Zelda can shoot him in the back with Light Arrows (you'll have to press the button on screen for her to do it). After 3 arrows, you can attack with Link and break off a horn. On the 3rd cycle, you'll have to rub the screen constantly to finish off Malladus.
Please note that there are multiple endings to this game, and they all derive from the question Zelda asks at 14:00. I will be showing all 3 shortly.

Hey man, just wanted to say thanks for uploading this walkthrough, videos like these really help with my anxiety and stuff, and I really wanted to "experience" the story again but without any comments... The fact that it's a 100% run was also a super nice bonus, I never had the patience to do all of this ! I had forgotten how cool this final fight was, the moment where the light target appears on the back of Malladus felt so neat ahah :D Anyway, thanks a lot !! I just beat this game a few minutes ago after almost 15 years. I received it for Christmas in 2009. Was my first Zelda game. Only took me that long because I had lost my original copy a few years ago. I recently found it on eBay and bought it. Took me less than a week! Exactly 7 days after I finished Phantom Hourglass. The armored trains in the dark realm gave me an adrenaline rush! I didn’t know if you blow the whistle while having the tears of light, you could go very fast! I was NOT expecting that! Also, that squeal the train makes when you turn during that part made me laugh so hard! 😂🤣

probotboyxxx, I know, the tears of light help you to defeat the Dark Trains before you battle the Demon Train. After you defeat all the dark trains, it’s time to battle the Demon Train. Afterwards, the time has come to battle Chancellor Cole and Malladus who is inside Princess Zelda’s Body.

I played this game a long time ago but got super tilted and never finished the fight on top of the train with Malladus so I put the game away and forgot about it. So I found my DS yesterday and I decided I’m going to actually beat this game and “I can’t imagine it would be that hard” and I’m just tilted all over again and tempted to throw the ds.

It took Link and Zelda about a days worth of work what it took the spirits centuries to defeat, let alone kill/destroy Malladus.

What ever became of the Lokomo Sword and Bow of Light after this? Were they destroyed in the battle with Malladus or did the Lokomo's take weapons with them when they returned to the heavens?
30:25 - 33:24 Link is still seen wearing the sword after the Lokomo's departure. Perhaps he kept it as a trophy or only used it during serious combat? Or did he loan it to a museum?
This timeline will need a "new" Master Sword I guess.

Botw took place at least 10 000 years after any other game, and all other are legends now. Until now we dont have any confirmation about the timeline from Botw, but Nintendo wanted a reboot in the timeline, so, all timelines are merged. If Botw will be put in a timeline willbe the child one. The rito and koroks are not exactly the same from adult timeline, since the zora its still alive. You can find a lot of theories about, but I concur the theory that rito from botw are from the birds from Skyward and not from zoras like in WW. Finally, in botw we have a Zelda phantom armor, the only reference from Spirit tracks I found. Maybe in Tears we will have a train, who knows?
