. If this is a tutorial some information would be helpful. Grit of sandpaper, type of wood, wood finish choice, stainless hardware? What's the purpose?
Excellent video mate, learned a few things. I'm starting two restore projects myself shortly. What do you call that new "back support" you added to the centre of the slats, at 36:30. The cast iron bench ends i bought are are mssing that back support/brace, and i'm not sure what to look/ask for. Thanks
I thought wow a 38 minute video so long, but then I watched and learned a lot. Was the washer under the slats for moisture clearance? Free hand on the holes was impressive I would be so nervous the slats would be crooked. I did a bench last year now I am doing the exact style you just did. Well done and thanks for sharing it looks amazing. I am only hoping my staining and finishing of the wood is as quick as yours was. ;)
The comments are a little ridiculous. I was going to restore a bench and this helped with a couple things I was wondering. I don’t need to know the basics like “grit in sandpaper,” or “ if you used a washer.” Thanks for the video.

this dude really spray painted rust 😂
You took the shortcut on that cast iron it's not gonna last.
Did you have to show cutting every board?

Might have been nice to have removed ALL the rust before painting. However, seemed to spend a lot of time preparing the wood!
It was only surface rust after that paint is holding good that bench sitting outside since i fixed
