Colter has such a delightful deep gruff baritone voice that just resignates the old country soul and sound of days gone by. His narrative songwriting encompasses country, folk and a western style. Colton is 28 and from Saskatchewan and 3 of his songs were featured in the 4th season of Yellowstone. This song is beautiful and boasts the rich old country memories. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Adam. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
'Country' used to be called Country and Western. This is the western part. Lots of it still alive in Canada. But Colter Wall is a legend in the making. Try: The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie, Kate McCannon, Sleepin' on the Blacktop, He's quite prolific and has put out a lot of material -- some covers (like this one) but a lot of original material that is as good as the best out there. Try every song from The Brewery Sessions. But The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie first.
Colter's great. I have his first two albums, but never kept up with him beyond that. Thanks for sharing. This was good incentive to get my butt in gear and catch up with the rest of his stuff. 👍
Adam, this is just wonderful. His beautiful baritone voice and the acoustic guitar was enough to transport me to a peaceful place even though the lyrics are sad. Once again I am discovering a talented Canadian artist whose music I have never heard. Thanks so much Adam and Harri 🌺✌️
If you liked this, you'll greatly appreciate Jake Kohn's original song, "Frostbite." Jake is now 16, and signed with Atlantic records a few weeks ago. But he was only 15 for this performance of "Frostbite": ua-cam.com/video/2z74dVGrCEA/v-deo.html
This pure Saskatchewan blues. Colter works on his ranch, is a good Canadian boy with a talent that is on the level of Cash and Willie at their best.
His "Kate McCannon" will floor you, I promise.

Saskatchewan 1881 is a great song!
Great song and I love his voice. Sounds like country/blues to me. Never heard of this guy before so thank you Adam.
Very deep baritone. ❤
Never heard of him but he is great.
This is a cowboy ballad. The tune goes back to Scotland. It’s called Logan’s Water
also..... I love this song.... thanks to you, otherwise I probably wouldn't have heard it till way later. :D Cheers
My favorites of his are 13 silver dollars, motorcycle and rocky mountain rangers.
Is it folk or country? Yes, plus some blues.
The devil wears a suit a tie is way better
Everybody and their dog has reacted to it.
